The table given illustrates the detailed information of productivity of Fairtrade coffee and bananas in five European countries in two separate years including 1999 and 2004. In general, the figures of coffee saw an increasing in 2004, while in bananas, there were three out of five countries facing this tendency. Observing the data in 1999 of UK and Switzerland, UK gained the highest sales of bananas, at 15 millions, but, Switzerland was the country achieved the largest amount of coffee sold, at 3 millions. By 2004, there was significant dominant of revenue of UK in both coffee and bananas, especially overshadowed Switzerland with three times and eight times higher than that country, respectively. Also, sale of Fairtrade bananas in Switzerland saw a dramatically increasing from 1 millions in 1999 to 5.5 millions of euros in 2004. Relating to the three remain nations, sales of the two mentioned products were far lower in Denmark, Belgium and Sweden. A slightly rise in coffee sales of these countries can be seen , however, all of them were not over two millions in two years. Finally, it is noticeable that the money spent on Fairtrade bananas actually fell in Belgium and Sweden. TOPIC: Rich countries often give money to poorer countries, but it does not solve poverty. Therefore, developed countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree? There has been a debate surrounding the idea that many developed countries should give other types of support to under-developed countries instead of giving financial support. From my point of view, these changes should be enforced by the governments of many rich countries. On the one hand, the financial aid from many developed countries cannot likely enough to solve the issues for the poorer countries. And many problems cannot be solved by using financial support. Therefore, developed countries should give more practical types of support consisting of food support or medical support to help citizens in poorer countries. Additionally, many rich nations can also send experts in several fields to aid and develop pedestrians in many poorer countries. For example, Vietnam has sent many experts in agriculture fields to Africa to teach them how to grow paddy, which also solves the food problem for them. On the other hand, corruption from officials is inevitable in one country. If other developed countries give financial aid to poorer countries, corruption might occur in these country's officials. Therefore, with the drawbacks of some corruption issues, the money supported by other countries cannot be sent to the citizens. With the lack of equity, the poor country not only cannot solve their emergency problems but also leads to more terrible issues. For instance, when the governments of one poorer country corrupt the money that should be sent to the citizens, the financial support can also be less than before, which can be the result for many violence among the citizens. In conclusion, many developed nations should give more practical types of support which can help poorer countries to solve their issues rather than giving financial aid. Some people think that advertisements aimed at children should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is a belief held by many people that advertising products aimed at children should be prohibited because of its frequent toxic contents. Although enforcing a ban on those advertisements can be advantageous to children, I believe that it is not a primary solution due to its economic drawbacks. On the one hand, it is indisputable that implementing a ban on advertising towards a certain age group, especially juveniles, may have severe impact on economic growth. There is the fact that under-18 people are contributing a significant number in the total amount of population all around the world; thus, if a ban on advertisements aimed at them is imposed, it will be challenging for some companies to access their potential consumers. This might lead to economic downturn in many regions, and therefore the global economy can be adversely affected. For example,if Coca Cola and Pepsi- two typical popular corporations, were not able to attract children to drink their sugar-based beverages, they would not generate huge profits, which directly distribute to a national economy. On the other hand, there are numerous effective solutions instead of a ban on the aforementioned advertising type. Firstly, launching some campaigns to educate children should by organized by governments to help them differentiating helpful contents with unhealthy ones. Hence, this not only assist them to stay away from showing bad behaviors, but it also provides them with the opportunities to acquire analyzing skills. Another point to make is that some companies, which massively offer unhealthy products for their consumers, must appropriately set a limit for their number of advertisements aiming at children. This may result in a reduction in the risk of children overusing harmful goods, and thereby minimizing the toxic contents from advertisements. In conclusion, while imposing a prohibition on marketing to children can be beneficial to them, I hold the belief that other better steps can be taken to improve the situation. Some people think that advertisements aimed at children should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Topic: Some people claim that museums and art galleries are not needed today because everyone can see historical objects or art works by computer. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? One school of thought holds that museums and art galleries are no longer needed as historical artifacts and art works can now be observed by computer. In my opinion, I agree with this idea and will discuss my reasons in this essay. On the one hand, advocates of keeping museums and art galleries have their reasonable point. Their key rationale is that only by going to museums and art galleries can visitors experience historical artifacts and works of art at first-hand. In art galleries, visitors can physically see and observe an art work, which in their opinions, is the only way to enjoy art. However, such reasoning is flawed, as in some cases of famous art galleries, people can only observe an artwork from afar as they are closely supervised by security staff to ensure that visitors do not ruin these artworks. The Mona Lisa perfectly exemplifies this, as being one of the most valuable paintings in the world, people have to keep a distance from it and therefore unable to touch or feel the painting. On the other hand, I subscribe to the view that art galleries are no longer of necessity and people can enjoy art works on the Internet. This can be largely attributed to the fact that in order to maintain an art gallery, authorities have to spend a colossal amount of money on infrastructure improvement as well as staff salary. This can be extremely futile especially in developing countries like Vietnam where there are other life sustaining aspects such as education betterment or healthcare services that are more worthwhile to allocate money to. Another reason that worth mentioning is that with the technology advancements, people can now see art works vividly with colorful pictures and high quality videos that can offer the same experience with going to art galleries. In conclusion, while acknowledging the benefit of seeing art works in art galleries, I would contend that art galleries and historical museums are no longer necessary in today’s world as the government should spend money on other vexing issues and people can observe art works online. Some people think that schools should not teach children about religion, while others believe that it is an essential part of education. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Write at least 250 words There is an argument that religious lessons should be avoided in the education environment, however, others think that they will bring benefits to learners. Personally, I am of the belief that both have their own advantages which will be discussed in the essay below. On the one hand, there are two major reasons why it is assumed that students do not need to study religion in educational institutions. To begin with, religion is often a deeply individual belief, and parents may be responsible for this duty in teaching their children about that. School, however, is a place of balance between practical experiences and boring theories, so there is no need to teach children this subjectivity. In addition, most of the objectives of the tenets are encouraging and injecting into people’s thoughts that their religion is the best. As a consequence, competition among different beliefs will be launched leading to the economic depression around the world. On the other hand, there are several points of view that religion is a crucial part of a student’s academic path. Firstly, it is obvious that religion has played a significant role in shaping societies, cultures, and historical events. For instance, the Vu Lan Festival is always celebrated on July 15 of the lunar calendar in Vietnam, it has provided humans with opportunities to give their filial respect to parents. Moreover, the study of religion involves exploring nature, the universe, and giving them ways to achieve ethical lives. Also, religious institutions such as churches, temples, and mosques often organize special courses for believers to learn about healing their souls like meditations. In conclusion, religion is a person's own belief, so there is this consideration ought to be solved by the local authorities or governments. Some people think that schools should not teach children about religion, while others believe that it is an essential part of education. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Đề bài: Some people say that because teenagers haven't seen much of the world, their world views are almost unrealistic. Others think otherwise, claiming that nowadays young people have greater access to the media, so their world views are quite realistic and practical. Discuss both these views and give your opinion. The perspectives of adolescents regarding the world have been a contentious topic for many years. Some individuals believe that due to their limited life experiences, teenagers possess unrealistic world views. Conversely, others assert that with the advent of technology and media, young people have access to a plethora of information, resulting in practical and realistic world views. In this essay, I will examine both viewpoints and provide my own opinion. Proponents of the notion that teenagers possess unrealistic world views argue that their limited life experiences hinder their understanding of the complexities of the world. For instance, a teenager may have an idealistic view of eradicating poverty without comprehending the economic, political, and social challenges that must be surmounted to achieve this goal. On the other hand, those who contend that teenagers possess practical and realistic world views attribute this to their access to information through media. For example, a teenager can learn about global issues such as climate change or political conflicts through news outlets and social media platforms, and form their own opinions based on the information available to them. In my view, both arguments have merit. While it is true that teenagers may not possess as much life experience as adults, their access to information through media can facilitate the development of practical and realistic world views. However, it is also important for teenagers to gain life experience and learn from their own experiences to fully comprehend the intricacies of the world. In conclusion, while there are compelling arguments on both sides of the debate, I believe that teenagers today possess the ability to develop practical and realistic world views through a combination of access to information through media and personal life experiences. It is crucial for them to continue to learn and grow to fully understand the world around them. The top priority of businesses is making money, and they do not need to have social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Essay In this day and age, it is widely held in the community that business corporations should prioritize generating profits rather than focusing on public responsibilities. From my perspective, I partly agree with this concept because of these following reasons. It is crucial and clear that making profits helps the companies to remain financially and economically stable. Without the sources of income, the businesses are likely to experience the decrease in the profit, thus it might lead to severe ramifications, such as employees’ contant resignations, and bankruptcy. Moreover, lack of money generation during the selling process can do harm to future investments in those firms. For example, the number of investors has the a tendency to invest in companies that have resounding success in growing and expanding their business; therefore, other medium and small businesses will not grasp the opportunities to update the equipments equipment as well as to boost the productivity. As a result, gaining profit is indispensable for business to develop in the market. However, taking on social responsibilities is of great importance and should, hence, be carefully considered. In this technologically dominant era, some businesses may not seriously take environmental preservation into account because of high costs and profit priorities. For instance, consumable-produced businesses' production activities may have been emitting toxic and unprocessed waste into the environment, hence it can worsen the natural status and result in environmental degradation. Furthermore, businesses should donate money or create jobs for the disabled and the unemployed. It might, directly, improve their life quality and indirectly facilitate the countries economy. Take Japan as an example, after the World War 2, Japan itself endured the risk of an economic crisis, but thanks to big businesses together with people’s resourcefulness, Japan gradually reclaimed its position in the top great nations. In conclusion, although profit generation, in fact, is the top priority for most of the companies, they should further concentrate on public duties. I believe that if the businesses beautifully combine the two key factors, they will be the most fruitful among other rivals. The top priority of businesses is making money, and they do not need to have social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Some people think that young people should spend free time with families instead of outside entertainment, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion. It is considered by some people that teenagers should allocate much of their leisure time to their families, while others contend that they should enjoy themselves outside. In my perspective, spending time with family is far more important than being outside. In my essay, I will discuss both sides of this view and support it with valid arguments and examples. On the one hand, those who believe the time at home with family is more significant have their justifications. The main reason for this argument is adolescents could learn ethical and moral values in a safe way when setting aside time for their families because a family is a place where children can imbibe these values to conduct themselves well in the world. Moreover, this time could be used to strengthen the bond with their families. In contrast, if they do not spend quality time with their loved ones, their ties with their families will be insufficient strong. Studies have shown that children who have more family time have more generous manners and are more conscientious in comparison to their counterparts. Hence, family time is of utmost importance for youngsters. On the other hand, some people opine that having an escape route to the outer world is significantly vital. Owing to be a great opportunity to break the monotony of daily life. This fills the millennials with new energy, making them productive at school later. In addition, this is an excellent way to learn interpersonal skills to create new connections at work to reach success. In Contrast, those who did not interact much with the outside of their families when being mature could turn out to be introverts and fail miserably in making real connections at the workplace. In conclusion, although going out to enjoy themselves help them create new connections the values that parent teach in a family setting is invaluable. I believe that the young generation not only devotes their space time to their families but also manages to take a little of their time from their tight schedules for themselves. Some people think that young people should spend free time with families instead of outside entertainment, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion. There have been many inventions in the human history, such as the wheel. Some people think the most important thing is the internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Across the course of human history, the overall quality of life has been elevated owing to the advent of remarkable innovations. While I concur that the Internet presents numerous distinct advantages to human life, I assert that there are several inventions of greater significance than the Internet. On the one hand, I am firmly convinced that the Internet holds an indispensable place in this contemporary era. Firstly, this innovation can be observed as furnishing an extensive reservoir of dependable information for various spheres of life. This is due to the fact that the device encapsulates an exceptional and sophisticated computational system, meticulously programmed and engineered by teams of proficient experts. Given this, it seldom gives rise to issues, such as misinformation or misleading data. As a result, the Internet embodies an efficient approach to augment comprehension and broaden individuals' horizons. Furthermore, it significantly facilitates leisure pursuits. Indeed, this creation itself encompasses diverse forms of amusement, such as Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms, affording individuals relaxation, rejuvenation, and stress alleviation following extended periods of work or study. On the other hand, I believe that there are existing inventions more crucial than the Internet. Foremost is unquestionably electricity. In its absence, not only would the Internet cease to function, but other electrical devices as well, underscoring the fundamental significance of electricity. The second pivotal innovation pertains to the realm of transportation in our daily lives. It provides secure transportation of goods solely through mechanized operation, thus fostering comfortable livelihoods. In contrast, in bygone eras, when our forebears lacked advanced vehicles, they diligently undertook substantial efforts to convey items, regardless of road conditions and distance. Moreover, the transportation of crucial components and accessories to the site of Internet development plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the manufacturing process's integrity and success. In summary, while the Internet has indeed made substantial contributions to life, it remains undeniable that inventions like electricity and modern vehicles have significantly shaped today’s society. To attain optimal results, adept and efficient integration of innovations is necessary and actively pursued. There have been many inventions in the human history, such as the wheel. writting task 2 Living in a country where they have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, practical problems. In the contemporary world, education plays a momentous role in improving people's awareness, living conditions, and the overall development of countries. Therefore, many parents tend to send their children to study and settle in foreign countries for better educational opportunities. A large portion of the public holds the opinion that several serious problems, such as societal issues, daily life challenges, and communication difficulties, arise from living in countries where the local language is unfamiliar. If it weren't for the desire to seek better chances to expand knowledge and adapt to new environments, individuals wouldn't take the risk of venturing into unfamiliar territories that bring challenges. This essay will discuss both sides of the spectrum and provide comprehensive explanations to elucidate this matter. First and foremost, every region in the world has its own distinct languages. If an individual decides to study or work overseas, it becomes necessary to speak fluently and understand the local language to effectively communicate with the locals. When speaking an unfamiliar language is no longer an obstacle, problems such as isolation and misunderstandings would be less likely to occur. Instead, settlers would have the opportunity to make friends with new companions and become accustomed to the new culture and experiences. On the other side of the spectrum, some argue that living in a foreign country makes it difficult to integrate with the local community. This can lead to issues such as conflicts among neighbors and practical challenges like isolation and lack of a competitive edge. However, it ultimately depends on the individual's attitude and determination. Even if they are not proficient in the local language, settlers can use body language to interact and communicate with others. For example, Vietnamese students with moderate English skills can still receive training and coaching at Canadian or American universities. In conclusion, nothing is truly difficult. Challenges are only daunting and dangerous if they are viewed as fears that lead to giving up. Success comes to those who can conquer daunting tasks, leave fears behind, and strive to achieve their goals. The previous time, people don't attend to healthy as well as mentality who are only need eating and drinking daily. In many countries, the proportion of older people in the population is steadily increasing. Some argue that this demographic shift has negative consequences for society, while others believe it presents opportunities. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write at least 250 words. In numerous nations all over the world, the older population is widening day after day. Some people claim that this analytical change has plenty of drawbacks in this society, whilst others argue that it gives opportunities for individuals. From my perspective, this trend will have a plethora of negative impacts on our society. The following paragraphs will elaborate on my viewpoint. First and foremost, the lack of labor forces resulting from the rise in the percentage of adults caused an economic downturn. It is obvious that when the number of young workforces diminishes, it leads to a shortage of young workers. For instance: In America, Intel company recruited personnel, however, there was a small number of seniors who entered that company. Furthermore, social welfare will increase significantly and teenagers may have a huge financial burden and they won't have the financial means to satisfy their needs. Namely, in some typical impoverished families in Vietnam, they have to let their parents or grandparents go to the nursing home. On the other hand, the large amount of experience and knowledge can contribute to the development of society by several methods, such as giving ideas and tactics to young workers. Last but not least, more and more old work forces retiring can present more and more career opportunities for the younger generations, so they can do for their living and satisfy their needs. In conclusion, notwithstanding this trend has several benefits, for example: based on a large amount of knowledge and experience to provide ideas and tactics, the drawbacks like lack of young labor forces and cost of social welfare still overshadow the merits. Thus, I think this trend is still a negative trend. In many countries, the proportion of older people in the population is steadily increasing.
