The graphic illustrates the proportion of power production from five different fuel types in five Asian countries, based on 2005 data. Overall, while Japan and South Korea were more reliant on environmentally friendly sources to generate electricity, the other countries placed heavier dependence on fossil fuels, with the exception of Thailand mainly relying on unspecified sources. Regarding eco-friendly sources, Japan exhibited the largest proportion of energy coming from nuclear, at 49%, distantly followed by 33%, 19%, and 13% for South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. In contrast, Thailand was the only country that did not use nuclear to generate power. 48% of South Korea’s electricity was produced by hydro and wind, significantly higher than that of Thailand, the figure recording nearly 20%. The remaining countries represented analogous percentages, each using about 4% for energy production. Concerning fossil fuels, the proportions of energy from coal and lignite in Malaysia and Singapore were recorded 61% and 42%, respectively, showing the main resource of energy in these countries. This contrasted sharply with the other nations, with about 5% being utilized. Thailand showed 39% of energy from petroleum products while the remaining countries occupied a minimal presence of this type, recording just about 3%. Looking at unspecified source, Thailand was the leader with 42% of power generated. The identical figures were observed in Singapore and Japan, standing at 39%. This was basically triple that of Malaysia and South Korea, at around 12%. In some countries, people spend long hours at work. Why does this happen? Is it positive or negative development? ANSWER: These days, spending extra hours at work is becoming more common. This phenomenon may stem from people’s higher wage and their increasing workload, and I firmly believe that this trend brings about more cons than pros. Nowadays, many people are overworking due to the pressure from daily necessities and work. In most countries, due to the escalating living cost, people are made to work long hours to afford their lives. In other words, overworking is not an option but rather an obligation for individuals to survive. In some other cases, people choose to work overtime to cope with their workload. The main reason is that their work is more intense and harder, making them have to work longer hours to finish the tasks. People often devote their time and take on more responsibilities to deal with their work effectively. However, I hold the belief that overworking will bring more harmful things than the good ones. It is undeniable that working long hours help people earn a lot of money and also facilitate one’s life, nonetheless, it will put a person under immense pressure, leading to physical and mental problems. For example, when working overtime, we can get tired, stressed, and make our health deteriorate and also cause stress-related illnesses such as depression, panic disorder,...even some severe diseases like hypertension, arrhythmia and heart attack. Additionally, overworking can create an imbalance between our work and families. People just have little time for themselves and their families, and they are likely to risk the well-being of their close relationships, exposing them to depression and isolation in the future. In conclusion, while it is understandable why people spend more time at work, I always believe that individuals need to manage their time appropriately to have a happy life without less pressure and tension. In some countries, people spend long hours at work. Why does this happen? Is it positive or negative development? ANSWER: These days, spending extra hours at work is becoming more common. This p... Some people think that young people should be required to do unpaid work helping people in the community. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? ANSWER: It is argued that it should be mandatory for the young generation to engage in voluntary activities to support those who are in need. While this practice may lead to several problems relating to wasting valuable time and the exploitation of the young, I still believe that the overall impact is tremendously positive. On the one hand, the disadvantages of requiring young people to take part in unpaid jobs are in plain sight. The main reason is that these activities consume a great amount of effort and dedication. For example, participants need to spend their free time to foster their knowledge and realistic skills so that they can be qualified enough to provide aid to other people in the community. Therefore, these works might not be feasible for those having hectic studying and working schedules. If the government forces young people to engage in unpaid work, they would suffer from stress and anxiety due to the lack of relaxation and rest time. Another drawback could be that illegal organisations might take advantage of young people, particularly students. This stems from the fact that some corporations overexploit participants for the sake of their own profits instead of community benefits. Consequently, this would cause mental and physical degradation and even well-being of the young. On the other hand, I am convinced that the advantages of unpaid work still outperform the shortcomings. One of the primary benefits is the opportunities to accumulate diverse experiences and essential skills. Young people take part in voluntary work that require direct interaction and collaboration with each other, they can enhance their interpersonal skills. This brings about the expansion of vision and knowledge through practical experiences and even other people. Furthermore, unpaid jobs help foster solidarity among people, in terms of societal level. These voluntary programs help teach the young generation the importance and benefits of working together and sympathizing with others, especially poor people. Eventually, voluntary activities will boost a better quality of lives and a wealthier country when requiring the young support other people in the community. In conclusion, despite the negative impacts of forcing the young to engage in charity work, I am of the opinion that its advantages are far more pronounced. Some people think that young people should be required to do unpaid work helping people in the community. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? ANSWER: It is argued that it should be man... The diagram below shows the life cycle of a frog. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. ANSWER: The diagram illustrates the development of a frog in natural life from egg stage to adult frog stage. Overall, to become an adult frog, it has to go through a total of 8 stages to reach maturity. The process begins with the mating of two adult frogs and ends with the mature frog. In the first step, the male and female adult frogs participate in the mating procedure and then give birth to eggs, containing embryos laid in water. Next, those spawns are hatched, becoming the first form of a frog to be a tadpole. After that, these tadpoles grow bigger in size and start to create front legs. In the following stage, the tadpoles gradually form limbs and long tails, and they also begin pulmonary breathing. Then, they get out of the water and start living on the ground as amphibians. During this progress, their tails become shorter and then disappear when they reach the phase of becoming a tadpole frog. Finally, young frogs grow into mature ones and their life loops continue with the mating between 2 adult frogs. The diagram below shows the life cycle of a frog. The maps show the changes made to a small museum and its surroundings in 1990 and 2010 ANSWER: The maps illustrate how a small museum and its nearby area changed from 1990 to 2010. Overall, the museum underwent several alterations during the period, most notably the extension/ expansion of the car park and the shop, and the addition of a new cafe. In 1990, there was an exhibition room opposite the main entrance of the museum with an L-shaped building. However, a small part of the building was demolished to make space for the expansion of the shop. Additionally, two separate exhibition rooms located on the right side when standing at the entry, until 2010, were combined into one big building. While the restaurant was opposite the big exhibition room and in the left corner in 1990, it still remained unchanged in both position and size later. Moreover, there was a cottage in the bottom left corner, but it was replaced by a new coffee shop in 2010. On the right side of the museum, the car park located opposite the garden in 1990, was expanded after 20 years thanks to the clearance of the garden. Outside the museum, the main road, the path to the entry and the garden on the top still remained unchanged despite some dramatic transformations of the museum design. The charts detail the proportion of Australian secondary school graduates who were unemployed, employed or further education in 1980, 1990, and 2000. ANSWER: The given charts illustrate what Australian students do after graduating from secondary school over the course of 20 years, commencing from 1980. Overall, there was an upward trend seen in the proportion of employed students, while those who were unemployed and pursued higher education experienced a decline throughout the period. Another key feature is that the statistics for employed students register the most prominent in most years surveyed, whereas the opposite is true for unemployed students. In 1980, half of Australian secondary school leavers decided to enhance their scholastic achievements. After 10 years, this figure decreased significantly to 38% and remained nearly unchanged in 2000. Meanwhile, the proportion of students who failed to seek employment was smallest, at only 10% in 1980 and 12% in 1990. It finally witnessed a slight decline to 8% in the final year examined. In many countries, traditional foods are being replaced by international fast food. Many people think that it is good to eat traditional foods while others believe that fast food is a good choice. Discuss both views and give your opinion. ANSWER: Nowadays, fast food has become more popular and gradually developed into a staple diet in many countries. This problem is concerned by individuals, they believe that it is beneficial to eat traditional foods, while some people prefer fast food. I am of the opinion that traditional foods are always a better choice. It is understandable why some people advocate the view that fast food is a good option. The key rationale is that fast food captivates many individuals by its convenience and tastes. Fast food normally is processed and available in food stores or restaurants with unique, luscious flavors, and people will be drawn to it, they can buy it at any fast food stores along the roads. Therefore, they tend to eat fast food much and skip traditional meals to save time. However, this is not always true. In fact, fast food contains a lot of fat and many bad chemical ingredients, preservatives that trigger health hazards such as heart disease and obesity. Moreover, buying fast food too often can cost lots of money and can lead to waste of food. Thus, fast food can not replace any meals with traditional foods. Instead of having fast food for daily meals, I believe that people can continue to eat traditional foods. Traditional foods reflect the culture and the history of a country, eating these dishes help us stay connected to our roots and preserve cultural values. Additionally, traditional meals are more healthier and meaningful compared to fast food. They are usually made from fresh, natural ingredients without harmful additives or preservatives, and offer a balanced mix of nutrients, such as proteins, vegetables and grains. That will be better for everyone’s health and prevent diseases which fast food causes. Unlike fast food, which is often eaten quickly and alone. Traditional foods are usually shared with family, bringing people closer together. Therefore, we should prefer traditional foods not only for health but also to keep a country’s culture alive. In conclusion, it would be better and advantageous for people to eat traditional foods greatly. In many countries, traditional foods are being replaced by international fast food. Many people think that it is good to eat traditional foods while others believe that fast food is a good choice. Dis... Read more

ANSWER: Nowadays, people are often exposed to many kinds of advertising programs to attract their attention to buy products. Some individuals believe that this will bring about positive benefits to our lives, and personally, I completely agree with this opinion. In this essay, I will explain why the statement is true. Firstly, advertisements help people know more about other products. With the development of producing a variety of quality goods, there are many commodities which some individuals may not approach and experience. Thus, when advertising programs are displayed more, especially on TV or billboard, people can know easily and try using products. Additionally, advertisement is also a marketing way to impress people via eye-catching product images such as logos, contents and information about origin and source of products to make them feel interested, secure and want to experience these products. Should employees speak out if their colleagues are unethical?
In contemporary workplaces, ethical conduct is fundamental to fostering trust, accountability, and long-term success. However, when colleagues engage in unethical behavior, employees often face a dilemma: should they voice their concerns or remain silent? This essay argues that reporting unethical actions is a moral obligation, despite potential risks, as it safeguards organizational integrity and collective well-being. Primarily, employees have a responsibility to uphold ethical standards to prevent harm to their organization and society. Unethical practices, such as fraud, discrimination, or data manipulation, can tarnish a company’s reputation, lead to legal penalties, and erode employee morale. For instance, if a sales team falsifies client records to meet targets, it may initially boost profits but ultimately damage client trust and invite regulatory scrutiny. By speaking out, employees protect not only their employer’s credibility but also the interests of stakeholders, including customers and investors. Furthermore, silence can normalize misconduct, creating a toxic work culture where dishonesty thrives. Addressing such issues promptly ensures transparency and reinforces a shared commitment to ethical principles. Nevertheless, some argue that reporting colleagues may provoke retaliation, strained relationships, or even job loss. These concerns are valid, as whistleblowers often face ostracization or career setbacks. However, organizations increasingly implement anonymous reporting channels and legal protections to encourage accountability without exposing individuals to undue risk. For example, many companies now have dedicated ethics hotlines or human resources policies that prioritize confidentiality. Additionally, tolerating unethical behavior to avoid conflict can have graver consequences, such as enabling systemic corruption or endangering public safety. A healthcare worker who ignores a colleague’s negligence, fearing confrontation, risks patient lives, whereas speaking up could prompt corrective measures and save others. In conclusion, while confronting unethical behavior involves personal risks, employees have a duty to prioritize ethical integrity over short-term comfort. Organizations must cultivate environments where transparency is valued, and safeguards exist to protect those who report misconduct. By fostering a culture of accountability, businesses can mitigate harm, enhance trust, and ensure sustainable success. Ultimately, collective responsibility toward ethics benefits both individuals and institutions in the long run. In contemporary workplaces, ethical conduct is fundamental to fostering trust, accountability, and long-term success. However, when colleagues engage in unethical behavior, employees often face a dile... Read more

The diagram illustrates details regarding how to make recycled paper. Overall, the manufacturing process entails four main steps in sequence, beginning with the production of unfiltered pulp, followed by filtration and ink removal, and ending with final products. The manufacture commences with placing discarded paper on a conveyor belt to travel to a tank where water and chemical are already mixed to form unfiltered pulp. Subsequently, this raw material passes through a pipe to another container where filtration takes place. Once this stage is complete, ink removal begins. In order to eliminate this contaminant, water and soap are added in conjunction with air injection to facilitate the elimination of ink. After that, the newly cleaned pulp travels to an added water and chemicals again to make sure that ink is completely removed. Finally, the pulp is put on an additional conveyor belt to be heated to remove water before being rolled, readily available for sale. Many people argue that crime originates from poverty and different social issues, others contend that this issue comes from instinct personality. The first argument is correct and is overwhelmingly supported by statistical analysis across thousands of studies. On the one hand, many believe that the cause of crime is due to various social problems. Having little money, lacking educational progress, being unemployed, and having low income, some will return to crime as a solution to their problem. For example, many research shows that there are large numbers of violence, addiction, and sexual problems which are prevalent in many poor countries. Families may become desperate because of their son’s behavior. The rate of people in prison is sometimes higher than that of general people. Moreover, the government can not offer enough schools and standard facilities young generation, which has a profound impact on their development, making it difficult to distinguish between wrong and true behavior. On the other hand, some people argue that criminals are simply bad people. Not anyone will naturally become a violent and addicted person. When they do not have care from their parent and education, it makes them take the wrong way, and sometimes it can destroy the life of a young generation. From that, the government and parents should spend more time and offer the highest condition for an elderly person. Because the perception of young people is absorbed by the way their parent show their love and attitude, which will shape children’s behavior and mindset. In conclusion, I would argue that the first view is more convincing. It is important to equip enough conditions for children’s development and take care during the growth process Many people argue that crime originates from poverty and different social issues, others contend that this issue comes from instinct personality. Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Opinions are divided on whether manufacturers or supermarkets should be responsible for reducing the amount of packaging of goods, or if customers refrain from over-packaging products. As both have important roles, the combination involving these objects is more beneficial. Admittedly, manufacturers and supermarkets have the onus to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Regarding the former, corporations’ direct controls over packaging, including designs, materials, and distribution of goods, allows these facilities to independently shift away from traditional practices to more environmentally friendly ways. Instead of using plastics, manufacturers can adopt biodegradable papers for packaging, leading to a potential reduction in packaging wastes. With regard to supermarkets, they could offer purchasers discounts on condition that buyers purchase goods in bulk or bring their own bags. This approach can encourage buyers to change their shopping habits, with the result that the amount of superfluous packaging would be reduced. However, consumers play a role in alleviating this issue. Indubitably, as manufacturers are typically demand-based, the pressure of the public can exert a significant effect on facilities. For example, American buyers’ launches of boycott campaigns against heavily packaged goods to protect the environment have forced many companies to gravitate towards goods with simple packaging, which brings about a reduction in the amount of packaging waste. Additionally, eco-conscious buyers, through their shopping behaviors, can create a collective mindset of reusing or recycling, making a great contribution to a decline in the amount of packaged goods in the long run. In conclusion, as manufacturers, supermarkets, and consumer choices are incredibly influential, a combined effort emerges as a viable approach to create a sustainable practice, contributing to the alleviation of this problem. Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging.... Read more

The graph below shows the differences in wheat exports over 3 different areas from 1985 to 1990. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. ANSWER: The given line graph illustrates the amount of wheat exported over Canada, Australia and the European community between 1985 and 1990. Overall, while the amount of wheat exported by the European community increased, the figure for Canada fluctuated and that of Australia decreased. Also, it is clear that the amount of wheat exported in Canada was highest over most of the period. In the first year, while the amount of wheat exported over Canada stood at about 19 million tonnes, the figure for the European Community was lower, at about 17 million tonnes. From 1985 to 1986, the figures for Canada and European Community rose to 17 million tonnes and 14 million tonnes respectively. Then, the amount of wheat exported in Canada fluctuated wildly and reached a peak of 15 million tonnes in 1988, before standing at about 14 million tonnes in the last year. At the same time, the figure for the European Community saw a gradual increase and reached the highest point of 21 million tonnes in 1990. In 1985, the amount of wheat exported by Australia stood at 15 million tonnes. Today there is a great increase in anti-social behavior and a lack of respect for others. What are the causes of this problem? What measures can be taken to reduce the problem?
In this day and age, many people have noticed that there is a significant increase in antisocial and a lack of respect toward others. In this essay, I will discuss the possible causes of this trend and suggest and suggest some ways to improve the situation. This phenomenon stems from multiple factors. First and foremost, we are living in a society where many people become more individualistic which means they become less concerned with the needs and feelings of others. Leading to an erosion of social responsibility and moral values. With the advent of social media and social platforms where online communication takes place, it is easier for people to engage in disrespectful and offensive behavior without thinking about the consequences. For example, a person can create a fake social media account to bully or harass another person in virtual places, thanks to the anonymity provided by social platforms that allow that person to hide their identity. To address this problem, a multifaceted approach is essential. Firstly, promoting a sense of community and social responsibility is needed. This can be achieved by encouraging people to participate in community activities and events, such as volunteering or local programs. Another solution that can be implemented to tackle this trend is to increase the consequences of antisocial behavior. For instance, individuals who are engaged in such behavior should be accountable for their actions, and consequences should be severe enough to discourage future violations. In conclusion, it is clear that several factors contribute to the growing number of antisocial and lack of respect. It is crucial to organize more community activities and raise people’s awareness about the understanding of the consequences to resolve this issue.
