1. How does the internet influence people? The net affects people in various ways. For me, it’s a useful tool for learning, working and staying connected. However, I think it can also be a distractor if we don’t use it in the right way. It’s important to limit screen time and ensure productivity. 2. What would you do without the internet? - Without the net, I will reduce my screen time and focus more on offline activities. I would read more books, do more outdoor sports, and meet people face-to-face - In absence of the web, I would undoubtedly reduce my screen time and immerse myself more in offline activities. I would allocate a greater portion of my day to reading books, engaging in outdoor sports and fostering face-to-face interactions. Not having to stick my eyes to the screen, I would definitely have more free time, which could better be allocated to offline activities, be it reading books, engaging in outdoor sports and fostering face-to-face interactions. 1. 1. Are you living in a house or an apartment? Currently, I am living in a modern apartment built by an investor in the central residential area of the capital. Obviously, this place is surrounded by many convenience stores and shopping malls that attract tourists from all over the world. So, my family and I often buy clothes or some necessities in that area and it is really comfortable. That is the main reason why I deeply cherish the moments spent with my family in my home. 2. What is your favourite room in your home? (Why?) I would say it is definitely my bedroom. Obviously, I love immersing myself in the relaxing space in my bedroom because it gives me a pleasant feeling, especially after a tiring day of studying. Whenever things get boring, I often decide to complete my exercises under the lights with excitement and that really helps me improve my mood. 3. What things make your home pleasant to live in? (Why?) For me, I really appreciate the valuable personal touch atmosphere in my room. Well, I have all kinds of photos and mementos hanging on the wall that evoke good memories like soft cushions, candles and a cool bookstore that makes the space feel so cozy. And nothing beats the sound of my family having a good time together. 4. Are the people in your neighborhood nice and friendly? Yes, of course. They are extremely hospitable and friendly because whenever a guest come to our house, we will offer them many candies and snacks to welcome them. Another thing is that we always do our best to help each other when individuals accidentally struggle during their difficulties. 1. Are you living in a house or an apartment? Describe a subject that you used to dislike but now have interest in . What the subject is . Why you disliked the subject . What about the subject you are interested in And explain why you become interested in it Actually, physics is one of the most difficult subjects at my school which sadly makes every student feel really nervous and stressed, especially when it comes to the final exam. This includes me, as I only passed all of the Physics exams by a narrow margin. Well, I assumed that only intelligent people could absorb and acquire all those kinds of formulas in Physics and my ignorance of them literally allowed me to eliminate it from my self-study curriculum. Throughout the school years, most of the time that I learn physics, I was surrounded with tears because of the low scores that I get from the tests and exams. The thing that challenged me the most was remembering the physical formulas and applying them in various exercises. I struggled with that a lot. So, this involves calculating the amount of them in separate carriers I didn’t need to figure out everything by myself. To my surprise, I met a tutor who could help me solve all the difficult problems and in the end, I was able to solve each Physics problem without me having to figure everything out on my own. Recalling the memorable time with Physics, I realized how important Physics is. I passed the final exam with an excellent score, and it turned out that my curiosity about this subject motivated me to acquire a lot of useful knowledge. Anyway, you know, my attitude towards this subject has dramatically changed. I hope in the future I can build many concrete buildings for my family and for the community. Some researchers believe that it is essential for inventors to share their formulas and inventions to others. However, there is a more persuasive argument that it is too risky to open the discoveries to one another and they can use it for wicked purpose. On the one hand, the rich people can share how they can earn a lot of money by investing into the real estates. To be more specific, this can create a strong influence on those who don not know about land and houses and they can invest their money in a thing that can make them rich. Additionally, they can start a business on their own and learn what they can do to make their business as a local brand in thier own country. For example, one of the biggest content creator is Mr. Beast as known as Jimmy Donald teaches in Havard University about how people start building their social media in a way that is approachable to various age groups in Youtube. Nevertheless, I support the idea that kepping the secret method is a good way of kepping the original factor. If a country makes a weapon that could destroy an island, they cannot reveal their invention to others because it can be a threats to their country as well. For instance, if USA in World War 1 reveals their methods to Japan, the whole world could disappear in a blink of an eye. To sum up, while it is apparent that sharing ideas is a good way of learning, it is undeniable that it can be use to kill one another. Task 2: Job satisfaction is the most important thing for the young generation. Some people think that finding job satisfaction is considered the most important thing for the young generation nowadays. Do you agree or disagree with this viewpoint?
In contemporary society, a common belief among many is that job satisfaction is paramount for the younger generation; however, there are those who hold a differing opinion. Personally, I argue that there are several other factors that warrant equal consideration as significant, for the reasons outlined below. On the one hand, it is commonly acknowledged that employees often place greater importance on job satisfaction than on salary for various reasons. In many organizations, employees frequently encounter considerable stress stemming from demanding workloads, which can lead to both physical and mental health issues. Consequently, achieving complete job satisfaction becomes a challenge for these individuals. For example, some employees choose to resign from Facebook because rigid work schedules and insufficient creative opportunities can hinder their dedication and prospects for success. This situation may result in a workforce that is less engaged and less likely to thrive in the future. Nevertheless, if organizations enhance their operational practices, they can not only foster greater flexibility but also stimulate innovation, thereby attracting employees who are more inclined to demonstrate loyalty and full engagement in their positions. On the other hand, prioritizing education, practical skills should also be a concern for young individuals’ concern. Apparently, people are likely to struggle with their life if they do not know how to maintain the balance between the satisfaction in jobs and its efficiency. Therefore, it can be extremely difficult for an adolescent to seek a peaceful working environment unless they ensure productivity in their projects or know how to create harmonious relationships with colleagues. If individuals cannot bond with their colleagues or understand the importance of their contributions, achieving a sense of job satisfaction is unattainable, including their salary. For instance, in large enterprises, it is common for employees to experience pressure to manage a substantial workload in order to enhance the overall productivity of the organization. As a result, the public may find it challenging to unwind in the workplace, which leads to an overall increase in their stress levels; hence, it is important for them to maintain the balance between the other values. In conclusion, I firmly believe while job satisfaction is regarded as the most comprehensive factor, additional elements such as educational qualifications and practical skills also play a significant role. In contemporary society, a common belief among many is that job satisfaction is paramount for the younger generation; however, there are those who hold a differing opinion. Đề: An increasing number of people choosing to have cosmetic surgery in order to improve their appearance. Why do people have operations to change the way they look? Do you think this is positive or negative development? There has been an increase in the number of individuals opting for cosmetic surgery to alter their physical appearance. There are two major reasons for this phenomenon, such as the pursuit of careers that prioritize physical attractiveness and the desire for enhanced employment opportunities. However, I believe this development is largely negative, leading to significant drawbacks, including serious physical risks and potential long-term damage to one’s appearance. There are two main causes of this trend. The first one is that an attractive appearance can open doors to careers where looks are paramount. To illustrate, Duc Phuc, a famous singer residing in Vietnam, underwent plastic surgery due to the toxic comments on his chubby body and unsuitable face for a celebrity. Post-surgery, he gained confidence and public approval, highlighting the pressure to conform to beauty standards in certain industries. Additionally, an attractive appearance can improve job prospect, sespecially in cultures where looks are highly valued. In South Korea, for example, those who don't meet societal beauty standards often face difficulties in securing jobs and job discrimination. This pressure can lead individuals to see cosmetic surgery as a necessary step to secure their future. Despite this, the rise in cosmetic surgery could result in two significant disadvantages. Firstly, this trend could pose physical risks for people due to unreliable beauty clinics. As an illustration, Viet Phuong Thoa, a prominent TikToker, who had to undergo corrective surgery to remove improperly injected silicone that caused severe swelling and pain. Secondly, an addiction to cosmetic procedures can lead to disastrous consequences. For instance, Hang Mioku, a once-renowned Korean model, repeatedly underwent cosmetic surgeries in pursuit of an idealized appearance, ultimately leading to severe facial disfigurement that ended her career and left her reliant on social assistance. To summarize, while the increasing prevalence of cosmetic surgery may be driven by the pursuit of career success and better job prospects, which brings about two disadvantages, including physical harm and the long-term impact on a person’s appearance, making it a largely negative development. Prompt: Out of a country's health budget, a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health education and preventative measures. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Many find it necessary to channel considerable national healthcare funds to educate citizens to be health-conscious as well as prevent health problems in the first place, instead of taking actions when one's well-being deteriorates. Personally, I totally agree with this point of view. First, the prioritization of health education and illness prevention is imperative due to the potential of substantial cost savings. To be more specific, an individual who possesses enough knowledge about the dangers of hypertension, obesity or similar diet-related conditions, tends to lead a healthy lifestyle, such as partaking in sports or steering clear of fast foods. Maintaining not to contract these health issues could prevent one from spending astronomical treatment costs that those diseases entail. Moreover, investing in health education also gives a hand for the government to set aside remarkable funds for the health ministry as well as the public welfare. Second, reallocating resources this way would contribute to the long-term sustainability of public health. More specifically, when taught about the threats of excessive tobacco consumption, individuals could be less prone to suffer from lung cancer. These diseases, although cured by numerous interventions, still may cause complications after treatments, not to mention full recovery. Therefore, state subsidies for such preventative measures play a crucial role in diminishing the number of patients succumbing to those diseases, consequently paving the way for the extension of life expectancy. In conclusion, citizens should be well-educated about health as well as prevent themselves from contracting diseases rather than waiting for the deterioration of their well being to take actions. It is essential for the local authorities and the government to maintain a reasonable allotment for the health budget. Task 2: Some people think that good health is very important to every person, so medical services should not be run by profit-making companies. Do the advantages of private health care outweigh the disadvantages? Given the fact that good health is a major concern for individuals, some argue medical services should not be run by profit-making companies, the question is whether the advantages of private health care outweigh its disadvantages. Although private healthcare may bring certain benefits, I believe the downsides far outweigh them. On the one hand, even though private health care can cost a substantial amount of money due to its high-quality services, it is more convenient and comfortable for patients. Private healthcare centers might offer exclusive services that prioritize patients with membership, which is a feature that public healthcare cannot offer. For instance, many private hospitals in Vietnam offer a service that allows patients to be treated conveniently at their homes; hence, the patients do not need to visit hospitals and wait for their turn to meet the doctor. On the other hand, despite the advantages mentioned above, private health care may bring more drawbacks. Firstly, people using this service may face the burden of financial strain. Private healthcare can offer overpriced healthcare services, therefore people have to spend a significant amount of money to afford it. Moreover, private health care may put patients at risk. The quality of these private organizations cannot always be verified; hence, they can provide patients with ineffective treatments, leading to lower overall well-being and financial loss. For example, in Vietnam, there were many cases in which people engaged in private health care and symptoms worsened, while the patients underwent various treatments. In conclusion, while people may experience greater convenience when using private health care, they face the potential of financial strain and lower overall well-being. It is advisable that patients are more aware of opting for any health care service, ensuring their long-term health. The diagram illustrates the transformation of a piece of land over 20 years since 1980 following the construction of a hydroelectric dam. Overall, the whole place had been repurposed from a remote area into an industrial zone. Specifically, more accommodations and facilities had been developed at the cost of nature and wildlife. One of the most significant changes lay in the addition of a large lake in the centre of the area. While in 1980, this place was home to irrigated farmlands and thousands of species of flora and fauna, even with the inclusion of rare ones, the year 2000 saw the replacement of a large lake, providing opportunities for fishing and aquaculture, which benefited the national economy. Another notable feature was the erection of a hydroelectricity dam situated between two mountain ranges in the South. This shift also involved the establishment of various electrical systems to provide the necessary energy for the dam's operation. Lastly, the village that existed in the southeast of the land in 1980 was relocated to the southern corner. In its place, a hotel was built to accommodate the increase in workers and visitors. In contrast, the diverse mountains were the only component left intact. The diagram provides details about the redevelopment plan for an office building. Overall, the construction is expected to create more office spaces at the cost of nature. With the anticipated rise in the number of employees, additional buildings will be repurposed to accommodate them. One of the most significant changes will lie in the removal of grass on both sides of the building. To be specific, an open-air area will have been constructed on the West side for employees to relax and have conversations while the grass in the East is planned to be replaced with a meeting area and a coffee machine. Also, the restroom will have been downsized and relocated to the Northeastern corner. Another notable feature would be the addition of new office blocks in the north. Currently, this space functions as a food court, but in the future, except for the storeroom which will remain unchanged, the kitchen and the canteen are expected to be converted into offices to suit for increased workload Lastly, the south entrance will be moved from the east to the middle. This change will restructure the office layout, merging the four offices to the left of the current entrance into two blocks, one on each side of the future entrance. Task 2: In the future, nobody will not buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
It is predicted that since the development of technology, people have a tendency to prefer online sources over print newspapers and books. While digital reading offer numerous benefits to the public, I still emphasize the irreplaceable value of traditional printed materials for the following reasons. On the one hand, the majority of modern people prefer to use online platforms for several reasons. Firstly, these media always provide accurate and accessible information, helping individuals learn news accurately. For instance, some prominent media outlets like VTV and The BBC News have dedicated websites, ensuring instant access to news regardless of location or time which is beneficial for many individuals, especially for those who cannot afford expensive purchases. Additionally, digital books offer cost-effectiveness by eliminating printing and transportation expenses, resulting in significant savings for readers. Furthermore, the popularity of online reading encourages greater engagement with content. On the other hand, e-books have a notable drawback, which is that many people believe that they can easily tire the reader's eyes. Blue light emitted from screens on devices such as phones and laptops can cause eye fatigue and discomfort. So, reading traditional printed books continues to grow. Publishers often reserve exclusive content for their print editions, especially appealing to older readers, who can easily improve their reading skills and access valuable information. For example, consider the newspaper VN Express, which began publication in the 20th century and continues to attract a diverse readership. Recently, they cooperated with Nhan Dan newspaper to publish nearly 10,000 panoramas depicting the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, exclusively in their special issue of the newspaper, which cannot be accessed online. In conclusion, I firmly believe that maintaining a balance between forms of reading brings many beneficial values to people, especially newspapers and books that are difficult to deny. It is predicted that since the development of technology, people have a tendency to prefer online sources over print newspapers and books. While digital reading offer numerous benefits to the public,... Read moreYellow

1. Which skills do you think students need for their future? From my perspective, it would be essential if students have a chance to learn many useful/beneficial/effective/practical skills such as communication, teamwork, cooking or even leadership skills. Honestly, these will serve as a stepping stone for students to become success in their future, especially when their skills and confidence have been boosted since they were young. 2. How can schools help students to master necessary skills for their future career? In my opinion, schools should organize extracurricular activities for students to practice their knowledge, especially students who dream of becoming designers or teachers. Take Singapore as an example, children in the capital are famous for their ability to cook or weave when they are just in kindergarten. Unfortunately, students still have to deal with tons of homework and assignments so I hope the school will come up with some effective strategies to help learners maintain a balance between their study and entertainment. 1.
