The illustation depicts the plan for the adjustment of southwest airport in the following year. In general, the airport tends to expanse more gates for the passengers and convert the primary way for pedestrians into sky train way. Furthermore, it will open more specific places compared with the current map. In more details, from the top of the picture, the noticeable feature is the increase of the number of gates from 8 to 18. Consequently, it is likely to alter the overall shape of the airport into Y shape. On the left side of the airport after the security area, numerous shops will be constructed for commercial purposes. In addition, both entrance gates respectively, at departures and arrivals may be doubled in number. While the café shop will be relocated from the left corner of the departures to the arrivals, check-in area may move to the present position of cafe and leave more space to build up the bag drop position. Finally, ATM and car hire are two extra categories which will appear in the progress. The illustation depicts the plan for the adjustment of southwest airport in the following year. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. ANSWER: The chart illustrates the proportion of students who learn to play various musical instruments in three years 2005, 2010 and 2015. Overall, most categories witnessed an increase in learning to play instruments over the period, while violin saw a significant decrease. In 2005, the number of students playing piano accounted for about 12%, followed by guitar and violin with 11% and 10% respectively. However the figure of drums only constituted about 5%, which was twice lower than violin. Over the next 10 years, the quantity of school children learning to play piano and guitar experienced a significant rise. Professional workers like doctors, nurses and teachers make a great contribution to society, so they should be paid more than sports and entertainment personalities. To what extent do you agree or disagree? People in professions such as doctors, nurses, and teachers contribute positively to the growth of society, which is why these workers should receive higher salaries than sports and entertainment celebrities. From my viewpoint, I totally agree with this statement, given that doctors tackle diseases while teachers impart essential knowledge to young people, both of which are crucial for societal development. The first major reason that I agree is that doctors can help to deal with pandemic diseases. To be specific, doctors are always the ones who recognise and devote efforts to finding the solution and taking care of patients when a new type of contagious disease appears. For instance, during the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam, doctors and nurses diligently cared for and motivated infected patients, resulting in a significantly lower infection rate compared to countries like China .As a result, the government of Vietnam had better put more resources into increasing the salary for newly graduated doctor. Another support for my agreement is that teachers can help children expand their knowledge. Apart from parents, teachers play a vital role in bringing up young children, giving them reasonable and useful information to become a reliable and productive member of society. This could be exemplified by the fact that teachers at elementary schools educate children about their importance and role in society and give them fundamental knowledge in subjects like biology, physics, and chemistry, fostering a willingness to explore the world of knowledge among youngsters. Schools in developing countries like Vietnam, therefore, should hold more activities for pupils to experience taking part in jobs that they dream of. To summarise, I totally believe that professionals like doctors, nurses, and teachers contribute more to society than entertainers. Therefore, investing in health and education should take precedence over short-term pleasures. Professional workers like doctors, nurses and teachers make a great contribution to society, so they should be paid more than sports and entertainment personalities. Task 2: It was predicted that with the development of technology, people would have more free time in 21st century. To what extent do you think the prediction has come true
In the contemporary society, for the sake of technological advancement, people nowadays perhaps have more free time to let off their steam. While the technological progress has undoubtedly elevated the productivity and facilized automation, I would argue that it can bring several disadvantages. On the one hand, the development of technology could offer various benefits. Firstly, technology not only revolutionize the financial transaction due to its convenience but that also plays an important role in saving the time. Google meet is a prime example where students could participate in virtual classroom and they could exchange ideas and work together with peers instead of going to school and individual may experience real-time communication across continents, thus building global community. Secondly, that sophisticated AI also instantly access to a wealth of information, particularly researching information through the social platforms such as Facebook or google contributing to the deepen understanding of human. On the other hand, I would argue that technology might bring some drawbacks. First and foremost, excessive use of technology could take a toll on the visuality and poorer academic performance. To elucidate, Phone that contain UV-ray that could affect the eyes and if students spend too much time on them reducing student’s attention span and study time. Although the technology could facilitate the automation and enhance the productivity contributing to economic prosperity, that could result in higher rate of unemployment. Besides, Technology provokes a feeling of insecurity, for tabloid newspapers are increasingly emerged giving people rampant misinformation, fake news and distorted story. In conclusion, despite these neglectable merits, I would argue that they are overshadowed by its merits owning to the deleterious impact that could bring. The provided maps demonstrate how a small regional museum and green space changed after some developments over a 50-year period, commencing from 1957 to 2007. As can be seen from the maps, the museum site experienced considerable changes during this period. The most noticeable differences between the two maps are the relocation of the local history room and the construction of new facilities. In addition, the number of trees in the garden reduced significantly after 50 years. In 1957, the museum was situated at the center of the green space and consisted of three main store rooms used for temporary exhibitions. the national history exhibition was at the top of the building, and to the right of it was the museum store room itself, which was opposite a local history room Besides, a small pathway running from the main road to the entrance hall was located between the local history room and the museum store room. Moreover, the building was surrounded by several trees. By 2007,it can be seen that the museum had been expanded in order to accommodate more visitors. To the right of the museum shop, a check - in area and a cafe were added (to the right of the museum shop). In addition, the location of the municipal history room was situated behind the reception. Another significant change was the birth of special exhibitions and an education center, which were on the top of the building. Both the old pathway and the trees were removed to make way for the new parking lot. Nowadays, the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships that people make? Has this been a positive or negative development? In this day and age, technology has significantly impacted the way people interact, particularly influencing the types of relationships they form. Personally, I believe that it is a positive development. Some ways of interaction in society have been changed by the improvement of technology. First and foremost, due to the advancement of technology, people have opportunities to make friends with other people from other countries or cultures. In fact, it is easy to access social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to find new friends and chat with them through some groups in no time, resulting in cultural exchanges. In addition, it is easy to access the Internet, so people can maintain contact with their loved ones regardless of their geographical conditions. In my opinion, this situation has a positive impact. To begin with, the convenience of the Internet helps bridge the gap between people in long-distance relationships. The reason is that the internet allows individuals to connect quickly with their friends or families during difficult or happy times. Thus, individuals can get close to others. Moreover, people can improve some important skills by having many new friends on media sites. For instance, because using social media is more relaxed than face-to-face, utilizing it as a false circumstance to develop some necessary skills like communication, self-confidence, etc is a good method. To sum up, technology plays an important role in changing connected ways, including making new friends and getting on well with others and I believe that it is beneficial by providing new opportunities for connection, communication, and personal growth. Old people have a more traditional idea about how to live, think, behave. Young people think it cannot help them to prepare to enter a modern life. To what extent do you agree or disagree.
Some believe that elderly’s conventional notion does not bring value to young people to assisst them in life nowadays. I totally agree with this statement for the following argument. The marriage belief of old people prevent youngers from leading an affective life when they are not ready for it. To begin with, young people, especially around 20 to 25 years old, often forced to get married as soon as possible by their parents because old ones think that having a family can make sure their offsprings’ happiness in life, which brings about disadvantages more than advantages. This is because young people around this age have not had a stable career yet, so they cannot afford taking care of their family, particularly when having babies. Moreover, they need spend a great deal of time to learn different skills in both working and nourishing babies before getting married. As a result, young people will be put under pressure if they are not capable of handing issues in their lives theses ages because of lacking skills and experience; therefore it is not suitable for them to live in modern life with these thoughts. Equal gender is also a problem in the thoughts of elderly, which is condemned in recent years. It commonly happens in Asian countries famale young people were taught that they should stay home and do housework rather get a job to earn money. This leads to the fact that young famale are preveted from contributing their potential to the country economy and making a living own their own. Furthermore, this way of thinking affects young people’s mind to the way that women are not value in society, causing miserible to women. Consequently, those people with this belief are hardly to get on well in modern society with new thoughts of equal gender. In conclusion, I think it is not sensible for young people live in today society with old thoughts of elderle because of the negative effects mentioned. Some believe that elderly’s conventional notion does not bring value to young people to assisst them in life nowadays. I totally agree with this statement for the following argument. The chart below gives information about how families in one country spent their weekly income in 1968 and in 2018
The given bar chart depicts how families in a country allocated their weekly income to different purposes in 1968 and 2018. Overall , it is evident that people spent their weekly income mostly on food in 1968 while in 2018 , people has spent more on other purposes . Notably , spending on household goods was similar in both years . Food account for the largest portion of weekly income at 35% , while other purposes like clothing and footware , personal goods didn’t exceed 20% of income at that time . However , in 2018 , weekly income was spent for food halved to around 17% compared to the initial year . The similar pattern was also seen in the two aformentioned purposes which took up for 5% and 4% respectively in 2018 . Conversely , income for leisure accounted for about 23% in 2018 , which was at least twice as much as in 1968. Income allocated for housing increased nearly half from 10% to nearly 20% in 2018 , while that of transport observed a more moderate increase to nearly 15% compared to its 8% initially . Meanwhile , spending on power and fuel had a negligible drop from 6% to less than 4% afterwards . The given bar chart depicts how families in a country allocated their weekly income to different purposes in 1968 and 2018. Topic: Some people think that schools should reward students with the best academic results, while others believe it is more important to reward students who show improvements. Discuss both views and give your opinion. It is essential that schools reward students due to their determined attempts. However, who should be given rewards has been a hotly-debated topic. Some people believe that those who are high-achiever should be honored ;nevertheless, others get the opinion that schools reward students improving their academic performance. In my opinion, I agree with the view that the top students should be provided the prize at in school. On the one hand, It is expected that schools should reward learners who reflect significant improvements in their study. In other words, every student has gained appropriate recognition from their school regardless of who they are, which brings them motivation to pursue learning with great determination. For example, a Vietnamese student who increases their math score from 4 points to 8 points between two exams needs recognizing by his classmates and teachers because of all the effort that he has made. As a result, he might tightly focus on studying math so his math’s marks gradually improve. On the other hand, I believe that it is more crucial that the most outstanding students deserve to be rewarded due to their considerable effort. Unless schools honor them appropriately, they may lose their incentive to study intensively. Consequently, their academic results may be more and more terrible. Moreover, that schools reward the elite students can create an environment which is competitive among students. It is possible that those students try to improve their performance so as to be highly rewarded. As a consequence, there may be an adaptation to join a chaotic market which is dominated by the profits in their future career. In conclusion, rewarding students who show signs of improvement is essential because, to some extent, every student has the right recognition. However, from my perspective, schools should honor top students on account of the competitive environment they provide. Topic: Some people believe that to protect local culture, tourism should be banned in some areas, while others think that change is inevitable and banning tourism will have no benefits. Discuss both sides and give your opinion. It is advisable to ban tourism in certain locations to prevent local culture loss due to some negative influences caused by tourism activities. However, I totally believe that change is unavoidable and there is no use in prohibiting travel. On the one hand, banning tourism in some areas is suggested to avoid commercialization and dilution, which can lead to local culture loss. Since cultural elements are transformed into marketed commodities, their spiritual values and original meanings are overshadowed by the profit of the tourism business. For example, traditional handicrafts, which require investment in time, effort, and the skills of craftsmen, are now mass-produced and sold as souvenirs, decorative items to cater to consumer demands. As a consequence, the commodification of culture may occur, leading to tourists disregarding the uniqueness of traditional expressions and local residents paying more attention to do business than promote cultural diversity. On the other hand, I definitely agree not to ban tourism due to two significant benefits it may have. First of all, funds generated from tourism should be reinvested in protecting culture. It is necessary to revitalize traditional customs that fell into oblivion, though this process requires a huge amount of money to pay for technical equipment and labor. However, this problem might be solved thanks to the monetary contribution of tourists to the local economy. In addition, tourism provides a variety of employment opportunities for local residents. With the development of tourism, more and more accommodation activities are offered to meet the demand of the increasing number of travelers. For example, citizens can take part in various available job positions, such as managers, financial operators, and housekeeping, if they want to work in accommodation establishments. In conclusion, to ensure the protection of local culture in some regions, the ban on tourism is an approach supported by many people, whereas I strongly believe that tourism should be promoted in order to increase areas’ revenue, which is then invested in cultural protection, and create jobs for local people. New technologies have changed the way children spent their free time . Do the advantages of this developmet outweigh the disadvantages .
With access to a wide range of new technological devices , children have changed their way in using their spare time . While there are some several potential issues to this trend , I wholeheartedly believe that such issues are overshadowed by the benefits which technologies offer children. Granted , one might argue that easy access to modern technologies could pose a risk to children’s physical and mental health , as many children relentlessly spent hours sticking their eyes to screens . Studies have shown that those who spend time playing computer games , using the internet in a nonsensical way rather engaging in sports and outdoor activites are likely to suffer from obesity , sleep disorders and other physical development issues . In addition , overexposure to such modern gadgets may also impact negatively children’s mental health in the form of cognitive impairment with surroundings , poor social skills , moreover , leading early contact with social evils . Such things may result in their academic regression and forming bad behaviour . However , those risks can significantly be mitigated through strict and disciplined intervention and supervision of their nurturers. Despite the aformentioned drawbacks , the benefits of the trend towards children’s changing altitudes in using their spare time could be extremely helpful . Notably , for example , it can be an opportunity for them to promote their learning and skills development through a vast variety of educational applications and games in a simple and energetic way after their hectic schedule at school . Moreover , it is also a means of seeking and provoking their personal curiosity m which could also be a self educatiion medthodology , fostering and consolidating a sense of individualism as well as independence . Conclusively , while certain technologies are associated with a number of potential drawbacks for children , with appropriate instructions and supervision from their parents , such problems can be solved thoroughly . Instead , those technologies are likely becoming the essential part of not only children but also everyone in their daily lives. With access to a wide range of new technological devices , children have changed their way in using their spare time . Some people say that the best way to teach children to cooperate is through team sports at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
The importance of education and child development have heightened public interest in the topic of how to nurture children effectively.Although some argue that team sports is the best way for children to improve their ability to collaborate, personally, I partly concur with this statement, in this academic essay, I will delve into the divergent viewpoints on this topic through examining some potential impacts on children’s development in the long run. Granted, one might argue that participating in team sports is the most effective approach for children to develop their teamwork abilities. This is predicated on the assumption that group sports can not only enhance children physical health but also help them in fostering important social skills. According to this theory, through sports, children can learn the way to work together, mutual support and understand each other, which allow them to achieve their joint target. These skills are crucial for their further study and carrer when they need to cooperate in a professional circumstance. In addtion, when engaging in team sports, children may encounter some challenges, so it is better for them to control emotions, stay calm and find ways to solve problems peacefully, which could helps children develop self-control and flexibility skills in handling difficult situations. However, this measure only work if children have a knack in playing sports, but for those who do not have a liking for physical activities, forcing them to participate in may result in feelings of discontent and resistance, impeding the personal growth and autonomy of children. This requires a more suitable approach, such as extracurricular activities and group projects, encouraging children promote communication and problem-solving skills. Therefore, parents and educators should consider intergrating diverse methods to ensure the holistic growth and development of children. In conclusion, team sports may teach children to collaborate at certain level, but it should not the only way and other measures can combined to foster children into cooperative individuals. The importance of education and child development have heightened public interest in the topic of how to nurture children effectively.Although some argue that team sports is the best way for children... ĐÊ: Some people believe that they should be able to keep all the money they earn, and should not have to pay tax to the state. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Some people argue that they ought not to allocate tax money to the government because they prefer to keep all their Income. In my opinion, I totally disagree with this standpoint. Primarily, tax payments play a crucial role in enhancing the welfare of societies. Clearly, the government can improve educational training and healthcare facilities with tax income is collected from citizens. The states also use this money to construct new facilities or repair aging infrastructure. For instance, Vietnamese people often contribute approximately 10% of their earnings to the government’s funds. This helps the government enough money to build bridges and repair old roads, making the transportation flows smoother, leading to enhancing the welfare of citizens. Another reason is that paying taxes contributes considerably to economic growth. If individuals spend a small amount of their income, then, the government will have the budget to invest in various sectors such as technology development, exporting expenses, agriculture and so on. As a consequence, countries’ economies may grow significantly due to good investment. China is a case in point, in the 2000s, this country exported many computer components and overtook Japan to become the world's second-largest economic power behind the United States. This growth was largely due to taxation, therefore, demonstrating that people should not avoid paying taxes. The more tax revenue is collected, the more a country can develop. In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the view that people should keep all their money and not pay taxes. This is because taxes are crucial for the welfare of citizens and the advancement of countries. Economic progress is often used to measure a country’s success. However, some people believe that other factors are more important. What other factors should also be considered when measuring a country’s success? Do you think one factor is more important than others? The success of a nation is predominantly assessed by economic development. Some people argue that other factors also play crucial roles in the measurement. From my perspective, apart from the economy, there are several aspects should be considered and I think education is the most important of all. The first sector that could be used to assess a country’s success besides the economy is the overall well-being of its citizens. This can be seen obviously from a comprehensive healthcare system. A good example of this is that in some European countries, their residents’s life expectancy is higher than in other countries due to cutting-edge medical facilities. Secondly, standards of education is also essential. A good education system is vital for development of any country, with schools, colleges, and universities take responsibilities to educate future generations of workers. Thirdly, the indicator should be considered is security. This is because crimes do have a negative impact on citizen’s life. For instance, Vietnamese people had to face a great amount of burglary in the past, so their mental health was affected badly. Therefore, people might be happier when living in a nation with low crime rates. However, in my opinion, I believe the most crucial factor that could be used to evaluate the national economy is education. A high-quality educational system can train superior people who might flourish those aspects mentioned above. For example, creating modern healthcare facilities requires that scientists who know widely about complicated technology and nursing for proper medical treatments. Similarly, a robust economy should be led by excellent economists who undertake rigorous training in institutions. As a result, the more effective the educational system is, the more successful the country is. In conclusion, besides the thriving economy sector, citizens’ well-being, quality of educational system and low crime rates should be mentioned when defining a country’s success and I believe the most vital aspect to assess a country’s long-term prosperity is education. Economic progress is often used to measure a country’s success. However, some people believe that other factors are more important. Topic: The diagram shows the process of making soft cheese. The given diagram illustrates how soft cheese is made. Overall, it is clear that there are five main stages in the making of soft cheese, beginning with mixing water and milk altogether, and ending with soft cheese products. Firstly, the process starts with the mixture of water and milk, which is then put in cooling equipment and continues to be blended and frozen at 5 Celsius during the refrigerating process. After 2 hours, salt is added to the liquid mixture to make a start the third stage, the fermentation process that lasts for 6 hours at 35 Celsius. Following, more heat is used to serve the evaporation stage, at 100 Celsius, which allows this liquid to let off its steam. After 8 hours, 6-hour cooling equipment is applied again to make the mixture become thicker, which is set at 5 Celsius, before the usage of a special filter to sort out soft cheese and waste water. Topic: With the increasing demand for energy sources of oil and gas, people should look for sources of oil and gas in remote and untouched places. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of damaging such areas? There has been much controversy about whether exploiting energy resources such as oil and gas in unexplored locations that are far away due to the growing needs brings more benefits or drawbacks. From my perspective, this idea of exploiting fuels in such places may culminate in more harm than merits. On the one hand, seeking fuels in remote and untouched areas may provide a plethora of benefits. Firstly, this action may act as an effective solution addressing the problem of energy shortages all over the world. Practically, energy resources such as oil and gas are vanishing rapidly since they are overly exploited by humans, causing insufficiency of power to cater to the fundamental needs in desperate parts of the world. This problem can be addressed thanks to the additional energy supplies when exploring remote places. Furthermore, more resources found in such places may contribute to the reduction of the high price tag of energy. It is a simple economic issue that the growing demand and the decreasing supply may cause the increase in price. Therefore, the rise in fuel supply may help balance the value of oil and gas in the market, which is extremely beneficial for countries that are importing fuels from other regions. However, I firmly believe that exploiting energy resources in unexplored areas should be deemed as detrimental. One clear disadvantage is that it may have profound impacts on the environment in those areas. This is due to the fact that the exploitation process may discharge a hefty amount of waste and emissions, which leads to climate change and environmental pollution. Also, this practice required a wide area to set up infrastructures to exploit, causing detrimental effects on the habitat of animals residing there. Additionally, getting energy sources from rural areas may cost a huge budget to reach those places. It required a lot of investment to build intricate machinery and means of transportation to transit to remote regions besides the labor and operation fees, which is definitely not ideal in this era of economic downturn. It is suggested that governments should allocate their budget for other paramount issues such as healthcare, accommodation or education. Lastly, this practice contains a variety of risks during exploring trips to unexplored areas for seeking fuels. Those places often have harsh conditions, which may lead to the deterioration in the health of people participating in the process or even their life. For example, humans have only explored 5% of the ocean since the technology hasn’t developed enough to create safety equipment to protect them from the potential danger in such depths of the ocean. In conclusion, it is apparent that exploring remote and untouched areas offers more disadvantages than disadvantages due to the environmental impacts, the exorbitant cost and the potential risk to people’s health and life.
