Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The table outlines the information about the situation of marriage and age between 1960 and 2000 in Australia. Overall, the number of religious and civil marriages and the average age of bride and bridegroom increased over the given period. Notably, the number of religious marriages was higher than that of civil marriages almost every year during the period. In terms of two types of marriage, there was an upward trend in the number of religious marriages. Meanwhile, the number of civil marriages followed the same trend. In the beginning, the figure was only 8,000, then escalated to 40,000 in 2000. Regarding the average age of bride and bridegroom, from 1960 to 1980, males and females tend to get married in their 20s. However, the average age of bridegroom in 1990 grew to 30. The given table illustrates the proportion of government expenditure on educational purposes, alongside the attendance rate of young people aged between 18 and 24 in five fellow countries in the year 2012. Overall, Slovenia, where education and training programs are their top priorities, allocated the largest share, whereas Poland considered this sector the least important. However, it is reported that Poland had by far the largest participation rate of the young, dominating other countries. Looking first at Slovenia and Poland, the former spent one-quarter of its national funding on educating and training, resulting in 40% of individuals from the 18-24 age brackets taking part. In contrast, Poland allocated only 5% of its budget to learning and development opportunities, which was less than one-eighth of Slovenia's allocation. However, Poland successfully attracted 44% of individuals aged 18 to 24 to participate, making it the leading country in terms of engagement rate. Turning to the other nations, Hungary, whose expenditure percentage on training purposes stood at 13%, saw 34% of its young generations joining these activities. Finally, while the Czech Republic and Romania shared a similar spending rate on educational use, at 9%, and 10%, respectively, their attendance rates were reversed, which were 27%, and 23%, in that order. Task 1: The charts below show the percentage of water used for different purposes in six areas of the world. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The pie charts delineate the water consumption proportions across six global regions. Overall, water usage primarily centers around agriculture across most continents, with exceptions in North America and Europe where industrial consumption is highest. In terms of South America, approximately three-quarters of water usage is dedicated to agricultural activities. However, in North America, this percentage is slightly below 40% while in Europe, it stands at 32%. Notably, North American industries consume nearly half of the total water supply, which is 5% higher than Europe’s industrial water usage. For household purposes, just under a fifth of water is utilized, with both regions using around 14%. This sector is roughly twice as much as water used for industrial activities, which accounts for 10% of the total water consumption. Regarding water allocation, Central Asia stands out with agriculture consuming a whopping 88%. Both regions in Asia allocate an equilvalent ratio for water in the domestic field, whilst Africa slightly surpasses this statistic. Interestingly, domestic water consumption remains low in these areas, hovering at just 10%, except for Southeast Asia, where it reaches 12%. The given diagram gives details about the redevelopment of the ground floor between 2001 and 2009. Overall, the internal layout of the ground floor was significantly restructured to accommodate a broader range of services and to better serve the needs of different types of visitors, particularly children. The changes involved the reorganization of existing sections and the addition of new facilities. One of the most significant changes was the transformation of the space that previously housed only self-help and history books in 2001. Specifically, these two sites had been divided into 6 smaller sections 8 years later, providing readers with 6 different kinds of books, namely law, economics, kitchen, self-help, fiction and history. Additionally, the east side of the ground floor was repurposed in 2009 to house a collection of films and DVDs, replacing the previous newspapers and periodicals section. Also, computer facilities were installed beneath this new media area. The addition of a children’s area in 2009 was another notable feature, marking a surge in the number of young age brackets visiting the library. This shift in readers led to the relocation of the fiction section in 2001 to accommodate books for children. Along with this new development, 8 small square tables had also been merged into 4 long rectangular ones in the centre of the ground floor. In contrast, the South corner, including the librarian’s desk, stairs, and the entrance, remained unchanged. More and more students are choosing to study at colleges and universities in a foreign country. Do the benefits of studying abroad outweigh the drawbacks? Answer: In the modern world, the increasing number of high school graduates opting for studying in a foreign country for higher education. From my perspective, studying abroad would bring more advantages than studying at mother country. This essay will elaborate further in this trend and suggest some possible reasons for that. On the one hand, young individuals whose choices are to pursue higher education in their own nation have their own merits. Granted, many universities where history and cultural knowledge are incorporated in school curriculum, thus this can nurture a sense of belonging and remind them of their origins by connecting to their roots. Vietnam can exemplify this situation. The majority of Vietnamese universities are educating their students about patriotism by documents that they encounter and examine every day. But, if the students didn’t choose to stay in their nation, they would not able to approach these resources, leading to impaired cultural understanding and history knowledge. However, it appears to me that, abroad education outweighs staying within motherland significantly. First, it can nurture cultural insights about variety of countries around the globe. Students, for example, can interact, communicate, share their ideas, their countries’ history, knowledge with others who also come from diverse backgrounds, thus leading to increased understanding about different fields that they are interested in. By the same token, students can also gain benefits from a more developed economy. This is because, students have a tendency to seek more job opportunities, increased employability, especially whom come from impoverished countries. This is particularly noticeable with nation such as the USA, UK, Australia where they have special policies that include specific sakes for abroad students, including granting permanent living for them who already accomplished 5 years study course. Therefore, thanks to these benefits, it offers great benefits advantages for students with the desire to have brighter future and want higher source of income than it is in their motherland. In conclusion, despite some possible demerits that studying abroad can bring to students, including lacking understanding about cultural value and history. However, I still maintain that with greater merits that choosing to stay in another country brings about such as increasing job employability, higher income; the advantages are still more significant. đề là: It is observed that in many countries not enough students are choosing to study science as a subject. What are the causes? And what will be the effects on society? Bài Làm: It is believed that lots of students are not willing to study science as a subject at school in many countries. This happens because science is a demanding subject and its teaching methods become boring and outdated, and the loss of workers in technical-required fields can affect the society as a result of not studying science. One reason why pupils do not want to learn science is that science requires a lot of demanding skills and time. This is due to the large amount of knowledge needed to learn, which will need different skills like logical thinking, mathematics and researching to be able to absorb all the information. Another reason is that the teaching methods in science are becoming less interesting and outdated since this subject has lots of boring theoretical knowledge, which makes students spend hours learning in class, while practical knowledge is not being taught with real life experiments. This has ultimately made students feel overwhelmed as well as losing interest in this practical subject. For example, In Vietnam, due to the lack of labs and high-quality experimental equipment, many students cannot have a chance to study science subjects from real-life experiments, which can help raise the interests of students. Not learning science can result in the decline in the numbers of high-skilled workers in scientific fields. This happens because most jobs relating to science require a degree in that field or particular skills. With the lack of knowledge in science, people cannot work as engineers or workers in science-related jobs. This can slow down economic growth and create huge demands in the jobs market. For example, if people want to become an engineer, they have to learn different types of science subjects in order to understand the process and lots of companies need an engineer degree to employ workers. In conclusion, the reasons why many students have no interest in learning science as a subject are the skills that this subject requires and the old-fashioned teaching methods that teachers are using. Not studying science can lead to a loss of workers relating to scientific jobs. đề là: It is observed that in many countries not enough students are choosing to study science as a subject. Task 1: the diagram below shows the process of milk production The diagram illustrate how dairy milk is produced. Overall, the system involves multiple stages, commencing with cow grazing and ending with packaging for wide commercial distribution. The initial stage begins with cows grazing on pastureland, which provides them with adequate nutrients for milk production. These cows then undergo a process of milking twice a day, using a specilzed machine, after which their milk will be stored in a refrigerated tank to preserve its freshness. The extracted milk is later transported via daily tankers to a dairy factory, preparing for further steps. In the subsequent stage, milk in large containers undergoes two separate processing routes, one of which includes milk being an ingredient to make other dairy foods such as cheese, cream, and butter. The other entails pasteurizing the milk to extend it expiry date and ensure a qualified taste. Once processed, the milk, through a conveyer belt, is finally packaged before being distributed to retail institutions like shops and supermarkets for consumer goods. The charts below show the percentage of workers in three sectors across four countries in 1980 and 2010.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words. The two bar charts depict the proportion of employees in three sectors in 1980 and 2010 in Germany, the USA, Japan and China. Overall, there were reductions in the agriculture and service sectors while industry increased in most countries, with the exception of China whose number of industrial workers remained stable in both years. In western countries and Japan, the majority of working people were employed in the industry sector, with 60% in Germany, and about 55% in America and Japan in 1980. These numbers surged in 2010 when all three nations experienced a roughly 20% increase. These states were also the least focused on farming as they all had less than 10% of workers employed in this field in 2010. In the service sector, these states witnessed slight decreases of less than 10%. China had a drastically different development compared to the rest of the nations as its industry field did not fluctuate in the two recorded years, remaining stable at 40%. Another discrepancy was the dominance of China’s farming sector where approximately 70% of people are employed in 1980, though this number fell to 50% 30 years later. Moreover, China also had the most dramatic fall of more than 20% in the percentage of service workers. You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Some people think that childcare centers provide the best services for children of preschool age. Others think that family members such as grandparents will be better caters for their kids. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Some individuals believe that the optimal choice for fostering their children is to rely on childcare centers. In contrast, others think that having older family members care for their children is a superior option. In this essay, I will evaluate the persuasiveness of each viewpoint before presenting my personal opinion. On the one hand, there are several key reasons why some people believe it is necessary to send their children to nurseries. Scientific evidence shows that children require structured care for holistic development, which can be effectively provided in preschools. These centers typically have a team of teachers trained in professional childcare skills, including behavior management and educational techniques. Additionally, early childhood centers offer socialization opportunities that are unique to the schooling environment, helping to develop communication skills, which are one of the most crucial social skills for their well-being in the future. On the other hand, opponents of the previous view argue that taking care of family members is a better way to ensure children's full development. The proximity to strangers, which is common in educational environments, may negatively impact the emotions of early childhood, as they can experience feelings of loneliness and isolation. In a home education setting, such issues could be better mitigated due to familial bonding, which fosters a sense of familiarity for children. Additionally, living together for an extended period allows grandparents to understand their grandchildren’s needs, enabling them to design suitable personalized care plans based on each child's character. In conclusion, I believe that the ultimate decision should be made according to each parent's specific needs. If parents want their children to develop numerous social skills and broaden their horizons, choosing a childcare center is the superior option. In contrast, if children are introverts who often feel anxious in new environments, maintaining a close relationship is inevitably the best option. Some people think that childcare centers provide the best services for children of preschool age. Others think that family members such as grandparents will be better caters for their kids. Differences between countries become less evident each year. Nowadays all over the world, people share the same fashions, advertising, brands, eating habits, TV channels. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh disadvantages? As globalization has brought people from different nations together regardless of geographical boundaries, sharing the same interests has engendered some valid concerns. Although this trend is not without the demerits, the upsides will justify this. Admittedly, the global assimilation of human lifestyles plays an indispensable part in flourishing the economy and connecting people’s preferences in many parts of the world. First, when people purchase items through similar brands or advertisements, many companies might stand a chance to export products overseas, which boosts the economic growth. Without the increasing demand of using the same brands, they might be restricted from selling the products in their own country and fail to expand their business globally. Second, if different nationals share the similarity in their diets or TV channels, the connection to other countries and international solidarity will be enhanced, leading to harmony and peace. In fact, since tourism in recent years has been in a great demand, sharing the same eating lifestyles and updating global news enable people to gain a deeper insight into the place they intend to pay a visit to, which avoids potential conflicts and cultural shocks. Despite the aforementioned benefits above, it is imprudent to overlook the disadvantages of this trend towards cultural identity and citizen’s lives. First, given that each country has their own cultural features in many aspects, either human lifestyles or recreations, sharing the similarity undermines the culture. For example, in many regions where people have their own special cuisine and costumes, the ubiquity of food and clothes from other countries makes local people indifferent to their traditions and cultures. In addition, the exposure to alien cultures affects human lives and leads to misunderstandings and difficult adaptations. Many people struggle to adapt to different lifestyles from different cultures, especially the seniors, which widens the already-growing gap between two generations. In conclusion, while people from different countries sharing the same preferences may have an adverse bearing on culture features and local people’s lives, the benefits of this development in connecting people and boosting economy is far more significant. Differences between countries become less evident each year. Nowadays all over the world, people share the same fashions, advertising, brands, eating habits, TV channels. More people put their personal information online (address, telephone number…) for everyday activities such as socializing on social networks or banking purposes. Do you think it is a positive or negative development? It is true that more and more people have shared their information online associated with social activities or transactions. Personally, I am of the opinion that although this trend relatively accommodates online shopping for users, it has mostly negative impacts on their privacy. On the one hand, posting personal information on online platforms may facilitate superior buying experience for users. This is because the advancements of technology allow commercial corporations to collect visitors’ information via websites that they have access to, thereby providing more personalized suggestions for customers. This can be clearly exemplified when purchasing commodities on e-commercial platforms such as Shopee or Facebook, people may come across a wide range of items that match their desires because of their personal information given before. Thus, the process of shopping can be expedited thereby meeting customers’ shopping demands. On the other hand, sharing personal information on the Internet could make users susceptible to criminal activities. The private information posted online can be exploited for various illicit purposes. This can be seen in the case of Vietnam, where various users have become victims of financial fraud annually due to providing their personal data on websites without realizing that their data can be leaked and gathered by hackers. Cyberthieves have been utilizing their engineering expertise to exploit a variety of vulnerable customer data in a bid to earn a big fortune. This leads to a large number of people losing their wealth and possessions. In conclusion, despite relatively minor convenience pertaining to the shopping experience of customers, I firmly believe that governments should take serious measures to secure residents’ privacy and obscure them from security risks. More people put their personal information online (address, telephone number…) for everyday activities such as socializing on social networks or banking purposes. Along with the advancement of technology comes an array of media platforms that facilitate users in gaining knowledge in lieu of books. While this trend may indeed pose several drawbacks, these are eclipsed by the substantial benefits it offers in many aspects. Those who oppose the replacement of printed materials might argue that e-books fail to provide readers with an immersive experience. Publication, they say, is something irreplaceable given the tactile experience of flipping through its pages. This sense can foster a nostalgic connection coming with holding a physical book in hand. Also, accessing knowledge through this book can mitigate eyesight problems, such as short-sightedness or astigmatism. Green Life’s research indicates that children are 70% more likely to suffer from short-sightedness and headaches if they acquire information through screens. However, this notion is deeply flawed given the fact that screen technologies have improved significantly by adjusting text size, brightness, and other settings to reduce eye strain. Granted, we cannot discount the positive effects of digital books. First, this form of reading can preserve human knowledge for longer periods of time, as the risk of wear, mould, or tearing is minimal. Preserving information in this manner enables societies to pass down their civilisation and understanding to successors. The ability to search for information or historical evidence that people posted several decades ago perfectly exemplifies this statement. Also, online reading is relatively budget-friendly, reducing colossal costs, such as printing and transportation, which helps more children access education. Although this access is limited in some remote areas or certain types of equipment, its substantial advantages far outweigh these limitations. In conclusion, it is undeniable that the tactile experience and user-friendly features of traditional materials are difficult to replicate with digital ones. However, I fervently believe that the merits of digital technology can overshadow those as technology continues to improve. Word count: 306 words Task 2: In the past, knowledge was stored in books. Em có bài IELTS writing task 2 cần chấm và sửa lỗi ạ, em mong các thầy cô giúp em. Em cảm ơn ạ!
TASK 2: Group or team activities can teach more important skills for life than those activities which are done alone. Do you agree or disagree? The question of whether group activities or idividual jobs are more efficient in teaching vital skills invites polarized perspectives. From my standpoint, the given assertion holds a degree of truth yet it is heavily reliant on different contexts in which they are evaluated. However, I strongly believe that it is better to participate in a group rather than doing it all alone. The subsequent discussion will meticulously delve into the reasons underpinning my stance. The advantages of doing personal activities are evident, mostly stemming from the development of determination. Since individuals have to do all the work by themselves, it enhances their level of concentration and discipline. Moreover, doing personal activities means they have such extreme competition, which boosts the aforementioned skills. Take doing sports as an example, single player titles require much higher endurance and flexibility, which can be obtained through training as well as tournaments. Despite the evident beneficial impacts of individual activities, I am in complete agreement with the assertion of working in a group, since it helps develop team-working abilities and strengthen one’s sense of responsibility. Working in a group helps establish a number of related skills, one example being communication skills, which can serve as a tool for developing new connections. Furthermore, a person’s sense of responsibility can be enhanced. This is a result of motivation and requirements of teams’ members. For instance, a number of schools in Vietnam have proposed a new teaching plan which involves group projects. As a result, such a high increase in grades and performance have been seen among students. In conclusion, after meticulous consideration of whether group activities or idividual jobs are more efficient in teaching vital skills, it emerges conspicuously that both types of work help to develop unique essential abilities. However, my endorsement of the proposition that group work enhances people’s skills and responsibilities far exceeds the benefits of individual work remains unwavering.
