In this essay, both views will be discussed, before a personal stance is taken on the matter, adjusting that this increase in similar shops and products in many countries is a positive development.
On the one hand, having the same shops and products in many countries is considered a negative trend. This development can put these countries under pressure to cope with cultural erosion. Many local shops and products are replaced by international chains; hence, countries’ unique cultures and traditions might be negatively affected. Furthermore, this trend can also lead to a competitive market, forcing the local small shops and companies to release attractive goods to avoid the worst consequence namely bankruptcy. For instance, international products are more ubiquitous, therefore many citizens tend to purchase them due to being manufactured by a prestigious company instead of local products with equivalent quality.
Despite those disadvantages mentioned above, I believe this is a positive development. A practical argument in support of increasing the same shops and products has to do with the fact that countries’ economic prosperity can be fostered. Suppose many countries have the same shops and products in the sense that there is a cross-border partnership between them. Consequently, these countries might conduct global trade more effectively. Moreover, this phenomenon can also result in reducing low employment rates in countries due to lacking of employees to work at their shops and produce various products. We need not look further than the case of Nike, since its employers expanded their markets to Vietnam, they have hired many Vietnamese people to work at their shops in many large shopping malls such as Aeon Mall and VanHanh Mall.
In conclusion, while having the same shops and products in countries can lead to cultural erosion, if not to say thriving competitive market, I believe this is a positive trend due to boosting economic growth and reducing low employment rates. In my view, if this trend is maintained, it can ensure the long-term well-being of humans and society.

Due to urban sprawl, people nowadays tend to live far away from their schools or workplaces, therefore unless they get up early, they risk arriving late. Moreover, we can solely ride bikes by ourselves; hence, driving a car is more effective for those who have family.
Several solutions can be implemented to promote cycling. One approach is for companies to provide cleaning facilities that allow their employees to clean after cycling. Secondly, healthcare organizations should focus on educational programs that can raise public awareness about the various benefits of cycling, such as reducing health problems. Last but not least, constructing more affordable apartments or houses near schools and companies will lead to an increase in the number of residents, making cycling a viable option.
In conclusion, people use bicycles less as a form of transportation due to not only causing embarrassing situations but also inconvenience. However, to encourage more people to use bicycles in traveling, providing cleaning facilities, performing educational programs, and offering buildings and houses near workplaces, may be effective proposals. With these implementations, I believe we can significantly increase bicycle usage.

Regarding Japan and the USA, there was a significant increase in the number of applicants with approximately 7000 and 13000 in 2004, then rose to 10000 and more than 25000 in 2008, respectively. Meanwhile, Russia experienced volatility in the number of applicants over the period. Starting with about 2500, then the figure fluctuated over the next 3 years before reaching a high peak of above 3000 in the last year.
In terms of China, whose the highest number of applicants with more than 25000 in the beginning, it was the same as that of the USA in 2008. However, China saw a substantial decline, plummeting to above 15000 in 2008.

This partly explains why many decide to work overtime or have two jobs at the same time to maximise their income.

To sum up, money is, of course, a driving force behind hard work; however, passion and the desire to help others are also intrinsic factors why many individuals work hard. I hold the standpoint that people are likely to achieve a greater sense of inspiration when they consider other factors besides simply salary.
