The chart compares data for employees with jobs in a different profession in one Australian region over 7 years. Overall, it is obvious that the sales, computing, and nursing category experienced an upward trend, whilst the accounting and farming sector represented a downward trend throughout the period. Moreover, Sales was the most popular occupation in both years. In terms of Sales, it increased from almost 160,000 people in 2001 to above 160,000 individuals in 2008, remaining at the top position. Similarly, the Computing sector rocketed from nearly 60,000 to about 80,000 people, showing a remarkable difference in the seven-year period. Notably, the number of nurses was almost the same as that of computer staff in 2001. Then, this number was slightly grew to nearly 70,000 people In stark contrast, the accounting sector initially employed approximately 62,000 people and decreased to only 60,000 accountants in 2008. Ultimately, the number of farmers started at nearly 30,000 before having a considerable decline of 10,000. Task 2: Some people think that we should invent a new language for international communication. Will the benefits of this outweigh the problems associated with it? Along with the progression of globalization comes a perennial debate about the need to create a new language. A school of thought holds that inventing a new language is essential for facilitating global communication. While this notion may indeed have some substantial advantages, they are eclipsed by the difficulties posed in several aspects. At first glance, having a common language can promote international cooperation and efficiency in business contracts. Were a new language to be universally adopted, it could potentially reduce communication breakdown, which is synonymous with economic development and other sectors. By the same token, linguistic hegemony might mitigate wars as well as conflicts. Specifically, thoroughly understanding conversations without language barriers can make negotiations easier, avoiding misunderstandings that often lead to conflicts. However, we cannot discount the intractable challenges that an emerging language may face. The primary concern is that the implementation and adoption of a new language on a global scale seems impossible. The waste of time and effort or the lack of practical uses are among the arguments against this initiative. The situation in China perfectly exemplifies this issue. They reject learning a second language given the fact that the strong cultural attachment to Mandarin makes the idea of prioritizing others feel unnecessary to many. Added to this is the potential loss of cultural and linguistic diversity. Since language is a key to preserving culture and traditional values, minimizing its use can lead to cultural identity’s loss. In conclusion, despite the aforementioned merits of developing an exotic language, I fervently believe they pale in comparison with the obstacles. Therefore, maintaining English as a global language is a feasible solution. Word count: 272 words Task 2: Some people think that we should invent a new language for international communication. Task 2: Too much emphasis is given for education of the young. More government money should be spent to free time activity of young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Along with the progression of society comes a huge attention on the development of the young generation. A school of thought holds that it is of great essence for policymakers to invest more in leisure activities rather than education like in the past. I personally approve of this statement in light of the comprehensive growth and potential talent exploration. Firstly, the balance between IQ and EQ is the primary rationale why some subscribe to the view that free time activity should gain more traction. As education gradually takes precedence over a long period of time, it leads to some psychological problems in the young like depression and peer pressure, and in the worst case, suicide. Thus, leisure time should receive more expenditures to improve this phenomenon. In other words, if a child can access both academic programmes and precious short time breaks, he/ she can release stress and maintain motivation, which is synonymous with emotional and intelligent development. Secondly, focusing on relaxed actions for young people can also be helpful in finding talents. To be specific, while education can provide genius individuals for some heavy industries like science or astronomy or even politics, some free time activities like playing the instruments, playing football, or just reading a book can help indicate experts in music, and literature. Moreover, having some time to relax may assist individuals in solving problems better, and triggering more creative ideas. Thomas Edison is a testament. He invented hundreds of theories relating to physics thanks to his leisure time under an apple tree. All things considered, despite the unshaken importance of education to children, I fervently believe that free time activities must not be ignored and governments should allocate more to this aspect. Task 2: Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Along with the progression of society as well as education comes a perennial debate within what should and should not be done by students after graduating. Some assert that it is of great essence for them to enrol in higher education to land better job opportunities while others state that embarking on tertiary education is redundant to joining the labour market given impractical knowledge in its curriculum. Both viewpoints are justifiable, but I personally gravitate towards the former in light of higher salary and promotion chances. On the one hand, it is understandable why some people subscribe to the view that owning a formal degree has pale effects on career prospects. The primary rationale is that the academic programmes fail to provide hands-on knowledge for their pupils to meet the demands of employers. For instance, advanced mathematics is superfluous for individuals pursuing agriculture or sociology. However, this notion is deeply flawed given the fact that students can gain more benefits from a lecture than just the theory. To be specific, by learning mathematics or science-based subjects, the improvement of logical thinking and problem-solving is definite. On the other hand, I would contend that it is unwise to downplay the unshaken importance of higher education attendance. In certain fields like computer science or biotechnology, having a degree will enable you to earn a higher salary right from the outset. To illustrate, those industries require a deep understanding and relevant skills, which are hard to get from own experience while some academic curriculums can equip students with an internship or a work placement to graduate. Moreover, obtaining an academic qualification is also synonymous with the ability to rise through the ranks, giving them a head start overs. The evidence of this would be seen in colossal companies in which graduates are often considered to be department managers. All things considered, despite the aforementioned compelling justifications that opponents cite towards attending university in the labour-related debate, I fervently believe that a formal degree plays an integral role in students’ pathways due to the benefits offered to them. Đề: Nowadays, managers and team leaders in different organisations are much younger compared to the past. What are the reasons for it? Is it a positive or negative development? In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of young directors and team leaders than it was in the past. While there are two major reasons for this phenomenon, such as the widespread availability of insights shared by successful professionals and the numerous self-development resources available on platforms like YouTube, I consider that this trend will provide major benefits, namely increased company productivity and enhanced adaptability in challenging situations. There are two main causes of this trend. The first one is that work experiences from successful individuals can help a youngster know how to behave in working places. To illustrate, Huynh Duy Khuong, a renowned communication trainer in Vietnam, frequently shares advice with junior staff through platforms like Spotify. His insights, including stories of common pitfalls such as short-sighted decision-making, help young professionals learn and improve their workplace behaviour. Additionally, young residents can develop themselves through watching helpful videos on Youtube. Taking Web 5 Days as an example, this channel offers numerous videos on cultivating a successful mindset and developing essential life skills, such as maintaining a positive attitude and building productive habits. As a result, young people are better equipped to advance in their careers and secure promotions. Despite this, this phenomenon could bring about two significant advantages. Firstly, the fresh perspectives of younger leaders can boost company productivity. For example, Tech startups like Cafe X, led by Henry Hu aged 25, have revolutionised the food service industry through robotics and advanced AI. This innovation, therefore, has earned high praise from customers for its efficiency and convenience. Secondly, the outstanding adaptability of young leaders helps them navigate adverse situations effectively. As an illustration, Ben Francis, a founder of Gymshark, identified a rising demand for home workout gear during the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully adjusted his business strategy to meet this demand, allowing the company to thrive during a challenging period. To summarise, the trend of younger managers and team leaders is driven by accessible work experiences and self-development resources, which results in two benefits, including increased productivity and improved ability to handle challenges. The best way to solve the gender inequality problem is to pay women as much as men. To what extent do you agree or disagree? On the one hand, providing equal pay for equal roles between the sexes is necessary to promote gender wage equality. In many workplaces today, women's achievements are still undervalued and unappreciated compared to men in the same roles. Additionally, their opportunities to obtain management positions are unequal, regardless of their efforts and expertise. This can potentially lead to feelings of depression and the belief that they will always be second to someone else, no matter how hard they try. Therefore, bridging wage inequality can boost women's confidence and morale, resulting in increased productivity and overall happiness. For instance, in countries like Scotland, the government has implemented strict wage laws to promote pay equality and create an inclusive work environment. Another alternative is organizing campaigns to educate and boost public awareness to encourage females to pursue fields traditionally dominated by males , such as STEM ( Science , Technology , Engineering and Mathematics ). This can not only create chances for women to demonstrate their abilities in various fields to break down gender stereotypes , but also expand different career options for women In conclusion , while paying women as much as men can help alleviate the gender inequality problem , I believe there are better solutions. A comprehensive approach that includes encouraging women to involve in fields traditionally dominated by men can lead to more sustainable and long-lasting solution The best way to solve the gender inequality problem is to pay women as much as men. The diagrams provide a detailed comparison of per-capita amounts of protein and calories consumed by individuals across regions. Overall, While North America leads in the intakes of both protein and calories, India has the lowest figures in the intakes of both types. Concerning the average intake of protein, North America top the chart with 80 grams consumed being recorded, distantly followed by Latin America with roughly 45 grams. East Africa have an intake of precisely 30 grams, as opposed to roughly 28 grams for India, which does the least. More notably, residents of North America and Latin America have heavy reliance on animal-based sources when three-quarters and two-thirds of protein intakes in North America and Latin America are derived from animal origins. Whereas, East Africans and Indian have more balanced consumption between animal protein and alternative sources. Regarding caloric intake on average, North America also takes the lead 35000 calories consumed, which is substantially higher than that of Latin America, at approximately 2700 calories. In stark contrast, while East Africa has the consumption of 2300 calories, 2000 ones are reportedly consumed in India, which also witnesses the lowest data in this category. 1. The charts below show the proportion of holiday makers using three different types of accommodations in three different years. The given pie graphs illustrates the proportion of three different holiday accommodations in 1988,1998 and 2008. Overall, most visitors chose lower-priced accommodations as staying with family or camping in the first two years, while the last year depicted an upward trend of the percentage of holiday services as hotels and rented apartment. To begin with, traditional types, staying with relatives and camping, accounted for more than a half of the total. However, most holiday makers preferred staying with their family, making it became the most popular choice with about 53% in 1988 and 1998. After the first two years, the figure for these two options decreased gradually. While the proportion of camping drop from 26% in 1988 to 12% in 2008, staying with family decreased by 8%. Looking at other options, it could be seen that the holiday accommodation services, rented apartment and hotels were less popular. Both types were lower than one-fourth of the total in three years. Nonetheless, the figure for hotels was doubled the figure for rented houses in 1988 and 1998 before having a same percentage in the next ten years. Beginning at 15%, the proportion of hotels increased to 22% and stay unchanged while the significant growth could be seen for rented apartments’s figure. Staying at only 7% in 1988, the figure tripled to 22% in 2008. 2.New technologies have changed the way children spend their free time. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages Today, most people argue that high-tech devices have influenced the way children spend their free time. From my perspective, the negative aspects are more impactful than the positive. We cannot rule out certain benefits of new technologies on the way children manage their leisure time. What people refer to the most is the variety of activities that modern devices provide. With the latest development, children are no longer limited by traditional games which might be too old and classical since they could access to a range of appliances and entertain with online games through the Internet. The more technological appliances, the more exciting that children feel as there are more new way for them to entertain. In addition, it is nigh to impossible to deny that technology brings more knowledge to children through provided leisure activities. Unlike before when studying and entertaining used to seperate, modern technology allows children to learn knowledge through games and activities in their free time without realising. With exciting plots and virtual images, children are unconsciously adapted lessons while spending free time in the Internet, making those time be more meaningful. However, the associated drawbacks make this trend worth worrrying. A key argument for this view is related to the impact on health. As being obsessed with virtual activities, a downward trend for physical games or sports could be seen when those hobbies could not be as interesting as new ones and require more physical demands. The resulting possibility of having health issues could act as a consequence when students have to face academic pressure on the one hand with weaker health. Nonetheless, what really forms my pessimism is the capacity of obsessing with virtual world and technology. While using modern devices still require energy and brain’s working, some individuals might neglect this and increase time using for those activities just to entertain and have fun. The diseperated time between entertain and rest could make free time be counterproductive, resulting in poorer academic perfomance and other activities in school. In conclusion, despite a numerous appliances to entertainment purposes and providing more knowledge, the drawbacks of new technologies to children’s leisure time decisions are more imperative. It not only poses a possible negative impact on health, but also brings the trend of obsessing with online appliances and virtual world. 1. The charts below show the proportion of holiday makers using three different types of accommodations in three different years. The given pie graphs illustrates the proportion of three different... Thầy, cô giúp em nhận xét bài này với ạ! Em cảm ơn mọi người nhiều ạ! Some people claim that public museums and art galleries will no longer be necessary because people can see historical objects and works of art by using a computer. Do you agree or disagree? There is a contentious argument advocating that museums and art displays for the public are predicted to disappear due to the proliferation of the internet that allows individuals to search for historical objects and art masterpieces online. From my perspective, I totally disagree with this viewpoint because of several reasons explained in the essay. It is true that the advent of the internet facilitates searching for whatever information that people consider historically and culturally significant. Some claim that the information available online is sufficient for historical items and art breakthroughs if they intend to explore something such as their origin and excavation. Hence, the existence of public museums and art galleries should be restricted. However, I contend that the chronicled documents are absolutely different from the experience of being in the presence of the artworks or historical objects that stick to sacred values and special events of the museums and exhibitions. The experience is unique and should be preserved. Furthermore, the design of the public museums and art galleries are correlated with a country’s architectural styles. Public museums and art exhibitions are ideal places to express architectural features that may be predominant in the historic period. Hence, people can contemplate the grandeur of these places while they are grasping more valuable knowledge about the historical objects and art works. Millions of people visit The Louvre museum in Paris because it not only exhibits a huge invaluable collection of national masterpieces, but it is a prime example of the aesthetic appeal of ancient French architectural structures. In conclusion, although the advancement of technology allows us to obtain various information about art and history online, I firmly believe that the public institutions cannot become obsolete because of people’s real sense when they learn about historical items or admiring a piece of art and the outstanding architectural features represented. The given diagram depicts the life cycle of a salmon ,from birth to maturity. Overall , It is clear that there are six main stages as the salmon develops from egg to mature adult. We can also see that salmon spend time in three distinct locations during the cycle, moving from river to estuary to ocean and then back upstream. Salmon begins its lives in rivers where the adult fish lay and incubate their eggs. After emerging from egg, the young salmon spends the next stage of its life being reared in freshwater areas. Then, at some point in its development, the fish swims downstream to river estuaries where rearing continues. Following the estuary rearing period, the maturing salmon migrates to the ocean, where it eventually become fully grown adult. Finally, the adult fish travels back upstream to spawning areas of rivers; here it reproduces and lays its eggs, and the life cycle begins anew. As for replacements, all factories alongside the road linking to the roundabout will be demolished to make places for residential accommodations, while the factory at the end of that road will be converted into a new school. Similarly, the industrial plants around the roundabout will be replaced by two new roads, one leading to three housing areas in the southeast and the other will run past the river through the bridge to the accommodations in the north, whereas the factory in the southwest of the roundabout will be substituted by shops. When it comes to new appearances, a playground is planned to be built between two housing areas near the river, providing a recreational space for students. Additionally, a small roundabout will be constructed at the T-junction where the southern road meets the main roundabout, which will facilitate easier access to a new medical centre situated between the two roundabouts. Task 2: Many countries have the same shops and products. Some consider it a positive development, whereas others consider it negative.Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. It is believed that having the same shops and products in many countries is a positive development, whereas others consider it negative. In this essay, both views will be discussed, before a personal stance is taken on the matter, adjusting that this increase in similar shops and products in many countries is a positive development. On the one hand, having the same shops and products in many countries is considered a negative trend. This development can put these countries under pressure to cope with cultural erosion. Many local shops and products are replaced by international chains; hence, countries’ unique cultures and traditions might be negatively affected. Furthermore, this trend can also lead to a competitive market, forcing the local small shops and companies to release attractive goods to avoid the worst consequence namely bankruptcy. For instance, international products are more ubiquitous, therefore many citizens tend to purchase them due to being manufactured by a prestigious company instead of local products with equivalent quality. Despite those disadvantages mentioned above, I believe this is a positive development. A practical argument in support of increasing the same shops and products has to do with the fact that countries’ economic prosperity can be fostered. Suppose many countries have the same shops and products in the sense that there is a cross-border partnership between them. Consequently, these countries might conduct global trade more effectively. Moreover, this phenomenon can also result in reducing low employment rates in countries due to lacking of employees to work at their shops and produce various products. We need not look further than the case of Nike, since its employers expanded their markets to Vietnam, they have hired many Vietnamese people to work at their shops in many large shopping malls such as Aeon Mall and VanHanh Mall. In conclusion, while having the same shops and products in countries can lead to cultural erosion, if not to say thriving competitive market, I believe this is a positive trend due to boosting economic growth and reducing low employment rates. In my view, if this trend is maintained, it can ensure the long-term well-being of humans and society. Task 2: Many countries have the same shops and products. Task 2: Nowadays people use bicycles less as a form of transport. Why is this the case? What can we do to encourage people to use bicycles more? In contemporary society, it is believed that fewer people use bicycles as a form of transport. From my perspective, this trend can be attributed to several factors and numerous measures should be implemented to encourage cycling. The current trend is that people use bicycles less for two main reasons. Firstly, using bicycles can sometimes cause awkward situations. This is because when commuters arrive at work by bike, they may be covered in sweat and get unpleasant smells, while their workplaces rarely provide shower facilities. As a result, they may feel embarrassed when working with colleagues. Secondly, commuting by bicycle is occasionally inconvenient. Due to urban sprawl, people nowadays tend to live far away from their schools or workplaces, therefore unless they get up early, they risk arriving late. Moreover, we can solely ride bikes by ourselves; hence, driving a car is more effective for those who have family. Several solutions can be implemented to promote cycling. One approach is for companies to provide cleaning facilities that allow their employees to clean after cycling. Secondly, healthcare organizations should focus on educational programs that can raise public awareness about the various benefits of cycling, such as reducing health problems. Last but not least, constructing more affordable apartments or houses near schools and companies will lead to an increase in the number of residents, making cycling a viable option. In conclusion, people use bicycles less as a form of transportation due to not only causing embarrassing situations but also inconvenience. However, to encourage more people to use bicycles in traveling, providing cleaning facilities, performing educational programs, and offering buildings and houses near workplaces, may be effective proposals. With these implementations, I believe we can significantly increase bicycle usage. task 2: At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages? Nowadays, the number of young adults in many countries is larger than that of older people. This writing would argue that the drawbacks of this trend are more significant than the benefits. One benefit of having a large number of young adults is that it can promote economic development. When there is a larger working-age population, these individuals can potentially increase productivity and efficiency. Their contribution to the workforce can lead to the creation of more goods and services, thereby boosting economic output. Another positive aspect of having a large number of young adults is that it enhances the quality of labor. Young adults often pursue higher education and vocational training, leading to a more skilled and educated workforce. This can attract businesses looking for qualified employees However, the advantages above pale in comparison with the disadvantages. Firstly, it can apply pressure to many metropolises. Some young individuals migrate to urban areas to seek better job opportunities, so this can put pressure on the environment. For example, a metropolis like Hanoi has become one of the most polluted cities in the world. Another negative is that it can increase the crime rate. As the population grows, the number of job seekers exceeds the number of available positions. This can make young adults struggle with financial instability and increased frustration. In some cases, individuals seek illegal jobs to have alternative means to support themselves or cope with economic pressures. In conclusion, the demerits of this trend certainly surpass its merits. Not only does having a large number of young adults apply pressure to many metropolises, but it may increase in unemployment rate. task 2: At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh... Xem thêm

Many people argue that producers and supermarkets curtail the amount of packaging of goods, while others suppose customer role should reduce spending on packaging. From my perspective, this problem necessitates a collective effort from both the supply and demand sides. On the one hand, it is reasonable to replace the responsibility on manufacturers and supermarkets to minimize packaging. This is mainly because they use redundant packaging materials in mass production. They tend to use virgin materials for such a process to reduce manufacturing overheads, which results in innumerable landfills that are non-biodegradable. These situations depend on producers and supermarkets adopting environmental exercises in order to rectify this problem. On the other hand, customers also play a crucial role in reducing packaging by cutting down shopping frequency. The behavioral customers are important measures of businesses that are unwilling to adopt eco-friendly packaging, which adversely affects the visually appealing products through sale figures. Therefore, if customers convert to buying green packaging, retailers, and manufacturers will be pressured into packaging policies. For example, many coffee shops use friendly products with the environment instead of using non-biodegradable packaging, this is the correct decision to attract customers and protect the environment In conclusion, both producers and customers should need to share the responsibility of fighting with plastic issues caused by packaged products. Some people think that manufacturers and shopping malls should sell fewer packaged products while others argue that people have the responsibility to buy products with less packaging. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. In recent years, the ever-growing issue of excessive packaging has sparked debate regarding responsibility. Some contend that manufacturers and retail outlets have the responsibility to provide items with minimal packaging, whereas others believe that the onus is on customers to make informed choices. This essay will discuss both viewpoints and argue that both parties should take responsibility for reducing packaging waste. On the one hand, major retailers and producers are responsible for producing products' packaging, therefore, they are supposed to take the initiative in cutting it down. In terms of manufacturers, they could simplify their packaging. Specifically, they can utilize innovative packaging designs that use less materials and implement more sustainable practices by using environmentally friendly materials. Supermarkets can opt for products with minimal packaging or packaging made from sustainable materials. For instance, there has been a significant change in the packaging at the deli counter in some supermarkets. Styrofoam boxes have been replaced by sugarcane boxes, which protect not only the environment but also consumers' health. The product is made from 100% bagasse, can stand high temperatures, and disintegrate easily within a few weeks. In this way, businesses can set the standard and take the lead in reducing packaging waste. On the other hand, consumers also have a crucial role to play in reducing packaging waste. By this I mean, by choosing products with minimal packaging and boycotting excessively packaged items, customers can influence companies to adopt more sustainable practices to boost the sales volume. However, consumers should be aware of “greenwashing” , where companies make misleading claims about the environmental benefits of their products. Moreover, individuals should opt for biodegradable or reusable bags, which would remarkably reduce the amount of plastic waste. As a result, customers could drive positive changes in packaging practices." In conclusion, the effectiveness of reducing packaging waste hinges on a cooperative effort between manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. A shared sense of responsibility and collaborative action are paramount in overcoming critical environmental issues posed by excessive packaging. Some people think that manufacturers and shopping malls should sell fewer packaged products while others argue that people have the responsibility to buy products with less packaging.
