Some people believe that everyone has a right to have access to university education and that governments should make it free for all students no matter what financial background they have. To what extent do you agree/disagree? It is believed that many universities should free tuition for all students who have a disadvantaged background to help them continue to study higher education. While I understand why some people support this view, I would still firmly disagree with it. Advocates of making a free registration fee for many undergraduates may have several arguments. The first argument is that supporting financially can encourage students to continue attending university. Nowadays, many students have a difficult economy to pursue tertiary education so they need the government to support them by providing financial support. For example, Germany pays all tuition fees so students can save a portion for living expenses. Additionally, when the authority can fund money for the students to learn higher education so they can attract talented people for the workplace. This is because continuing study in university has given students more knowledge and practical experience for their career paths. As a result, this can make the economy more thriving and decrease the rate of unemployment. Despite the aforementioned valid reasons, I am in total disagreement with this view. Regarding the former, free tuition for advantageous people can push the government to the verge of bankruptcy or levy higher taxes on citizens. This is because the costs for the government to maintain the facilities or employ qualified teachers is really exorbitant. Consequently, this action can not ensure the life of the cityzens, which can reduce the quality of the people living in the country. Furthermore, providing a fee for students can increase the number of students in one class. Also, class size can impact on how each student interacts with their teachers and their peers. This can lead to their affair when asking in their class, as a result they can receive a bad performance in university. In conclusion, it is understandable why some people advocate the idea of no tuition fee for students to help them have the opportunity to study tertiary education. However, I would still oppose this view. Some people believe that everyone has a right to have access to university education and that governments should make it free for all students no matter what financial background they have. It was predicted that with the development of technology, people would have more free time in the 21st century. To what extent do you think this prediction has come true? Some people predicted that humans in the 21st century would have more leisure time due to technological advancements. From my perspective, there are two main reasons why I believe this prediction has become a reality. The first reason I think the development of technology has increased people’s leisure time is the utilization of technological innovations in the workplace. This is because this has helped employees to enhance work productivity and boost efficiency; hence, they have accomplished their work more quickly and effectively. A good example of this is that many companies have installed AI-powered office software that enables their workers to create documentaries more quickly. Consequently, people have had more valuable free time and have maintained a healthy work-life balance. Another reason why I maintain that modern people are enjoying more free time due to technological progress is the presence of household appliances. This has simplified the completion of household chores which is very time-consuming. For instance, housewives used to wash dirty clothes by hand, however, up-to-date washing machines now have taken responsibility for that job. As a result, people have had more scarce free time to take care of themselves and their families. In conclusion, I believe that breakthroughs in technology have allowed people to have more leisure time in the 21st century as it has facilitated their work processes and provided smart home devices. With the rapid technical changes, people will have more and more free time in the next few years and even in the next century. It was predicted that with the development of technology, people would have more free time in the 21st century. To what extent do you think this prediction has come true? Topic: It is believed that governments should prohibit such dangerous sports such as bungee jumping. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with the statement with some following reasons. Extreme sports are gaining popularity among younger generations due to the enourmous amount of adrenaline its brings to its participants, however, rising concerns among populations about whether these sports should be banned because of its high risk have lead to prolonged controversy and are affecting athletes around the world. While many inviduals strongly advocates for the banning of extreme sports to maintain safety, I firmly believe that extreme sports should not be prohibited due to its cultural significance, people's enjoyments and sport diversity. Firstly, each activity have it's own risk, sports such as football, boxing and Formula 1 racing may have far more risk from skiing or skydiving, yet these sports aren't raising concerns for their peril. Sports such as Formula 1 have little room to enforce new rules to maintain safety, on the other hand, stricter laws enforcement on extreme sports can significantly reduced its risk such as better avalanche control methods, or prohibited skydiving during windy conditions. Therefore, banning these sports due to its risk shouldn't be justified. Secondly, these activities plays a crucial role in the culture of many people, these sports are tied to a people for hundreds of years. Thus, outdoor activity are design to reduce stress, and relax with society, in many case it may have special bond to a culture belief, activities, and language and therefore safety shouldn't be the priority over having fun. Last but not least, banning people from this are violating their own freedom, by limiting what people can do because of an opinion of another individuals are given less right and governments are likely interfering in it's citizen activity. This specifically affect populations that use extreme sports as a hobby or career and may have significant impacts on the loss of culture and increasing rates of obesity. In conclusion, despite the risk given to athlete, extreme sport shouldn't be banned due to its cultural impacts among populations, increasing in sports activity and reduce obesity, but also maintaining the freedom of rights of many people in the population. The maps illustrate significant changes a Seaville’s seaside town, over a thirty-year course, from 1980 to 2010. Overall, the village developed substantially from a holiday settlement to a permanent town in 30 years. Similarly, infrastructure and amenities increased, along with the town’s capacity to provide for tourists. In 1980, Seaville was relatively tiny, attracting only a few tourists, who were accommodated in cottages or a small hotel. In contrast, the East Bank situated near a stream of river flowing into the big ocean was unspoilt. To the east of the cottages, there was a marsh and a land covered with woody vegetation to the north. Regarding recreation, besides the beach, the town only offered a tea room. However, the village had a significant overhaul in 2010. The marsh was drained and the line of cottages was demolished in order to make way for housing. To the south of the residential area, the woodland was cut down and supplanted by a golf course. Another major change was the establishment of a village for retired people located next to a newly-formed boat club. To cater for visitors, both a high-rise hotel and holiday cottages were constructed. Additionally, a new infrastructure was set up to access the East Bank. Meanwhile, the town preserved its original hotel standing on the same site for 30 years. The given illustration depicts the stages in the growth of a frog. Overall, this is a natural process which is characterized by 3 mainly parts, beginning with the appearance of numerous eggs and ending with the consistent formation of an adult frog. This process initiates with generating a great number of eggs compared as the embryo to cover the frog’s cells. Subsequently, coming to the second stage, it is about the gradual formation from the tadpole to an immature frog. During this stage, tadpole may experience three times increase in its shape’s size until reaching to the appropriate level of growth. Then the appendages of frog start to grow to have maximum number as 4, simultaneously combining with the development of the independent respiratory trait via its lungs. Eventually, the frog’s tail is cut down and this animal will be called in the distinctive name such as tadpole frog. Concluding with the final stage, it requires a certain timeframe to be fully reformed as an adult frog which can maintain their lives both on the ground and in the marine. The diagrams below show the life cycle of the silkworm and the stages in the production of silk cloth. The given diagram illustrates the stages in the life of the silkworm and how to produce silk cloth. Overall, the life cycle of the silkworm consists of four stages, beginning with laying eggs and ending with becoming moth. Additionally, there are six stages in the process of producing silk cloth, from silk cocoon to silk material. Looking at the life cycle of the silkworm in more detail. Beginning at laying eggs, the moth lays a great number of eggs on a leaf. Ten days later, these eggs hatch into silkworm larvae, which consume mulberry leaves as their resource of food. Then, after four to six weeks, silkworm larvae become covered in silk thread, and a full cocoon is produced between three and eight days later. Finally, a moth appears from a cocoon, and the cycle begins anew. Turn into the producing diagram of silk cloth, we can see that the first stage of this process is selecting cocoons, which are then boiled in water in the second stage. After being boiled, the cocoon is unwound. Several strands of thread, whose length are from 300 to 900 metres, are then twisted together before being dyed. Otherwise, these twisted strands can be woven first and then dyed subsequently. The diagrams below show the life cycle of the silkworm and the stages in the production of silk cloth. The first diagram depicts the lifecycle of a honey bee, while the second diagram illustrates how to produce honey. Overall, there are several stages in the two processes, beginning with the queen bee laying eggs in a honeycomb and ending with distribution and selling honey to customers. Initially, bee eggs are laid in a honeycomb by the queen bee, and three days later a larve starts to emerge from the eggs. After a week, the larva has become fully developed and continues in that form for three more weeks. After this, the bee leaves the hive and gathers nectar from flowers, which is the first step of making honey. At the end of this stage, nectar is taken back to the hive and the honey appears. At this point, the honey production can begin. The first step is that the honeycomb is removed from the hive by the beekeeper, who then puts it into a machine to extract the honey. After the extraction process, the honey is boiled to make it clean. Having been boiled, the honey is poured into jars to preserve it for a long time. Finally, those jars are distributed and sold. Question: The use of social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, is replacing face-to-face contact in everyday life. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of this development? Nowadays, the widespread use of social platforms is replacing face-to-face communication. While this development offers various benefits, its drawbacks might outweigh the advantages. On the one hand, there can be certain merits of using social platforms as a main means of communications rather than face-to-face interactions. One possible advantage is that individuals’ daily life become more convenient than before. The reason is that human contact can be easier through applications and thus, people might save time and money on arranging personal meetings. For instance, Facebook and Zalo, which are some well-known applications in Vietnam, enable overseas students to get in touch with their family. Another beneficial effect could be that users might broaden their specialized knowledge. In fact, online courses allow international learners to study at their own houses, thereby giving them more flexibility. Therefore, this is valuable to their cultural experiences due to connecting with citizens from many different countries. Nevertheless, the fact that online interactions are replacing direct communication can have major downsides which overshadow these positive effects. The most obvious issue could be that these platforms might be harmful to online users. More and more scammers exploit new technology, such as AI or voice imitation tools, so as to easily gain others’ trust. Specifically, tricksters may impersonate a police to ask listeners to pay fines for traffic offence with the intention of cheating them out of money. The second drawback is that spending too much time on screen is harmful to people’s health. Relying on social media contributes to the dominance of a sedentary lifestyle. As a result, lack of physical activity causes individuals to struggle with health problems, like obesity and cardiovascular diseases. In conclusion, while in-person interactions being replaced with the rise of social applications can be positive in some situations, this development can bring about some adverse impacts. Question: The use of social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, is replacing face-to-face contact in everyday life. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of this development? Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these view and give your own opinion. While one school of thought holds that science research, market, and academic aspects should provide as much materials as they can, others are of the opinion that invaluable knowledge should not be exchanged easily. On the one hand, it is understandable why some propose scientific investigation, finance, and academic world related information should be shared freely. The primary reason behind this thinking is that knowledge is a treasure for humans to raise their living standards. Hence, it would be a golden opportunity for individuals to have access to logical and educational support from science and academic resources which play a pivotal role in revolutionizing their critical thinking, or to the economic values that they can get from business field’s information and learn how to live economically and work efficiently. Studocu, for instance, which is one of the free-charged websites of thousands of academic documents and research papers, was established to optimize uploading and downloading valuable files in a self-sufficient way. As a result, this website has had more than 1000000 accounts, showing that it can help people enhance their academic study and research process. On the other hand, I side with those who believe that these crucial and high-valued information should be private. Perhaps the foremost reason would be that it can cement the authority’s right. By charging or asking for permission to get the data, the author can ensure the equal of getting such knowledge which they may make a large amount of effort to possess or generate. To exemplify, Nha Nam – a renowned publisher of Vietnamese-translated scientific books – always be adept at keeping the translated versions of well-known books all over the world. They want the customers and avid readers to respect authors’ as well as translators’ grey matter. If they purchase books, they can acquire the contents that such products provide. This example underscores the indispensable role of publishing and reading books, which requires either a pay-to-read process or private-keeping policies. In conclusion, while there are justifications for advocating freely sharing scientific, business, and academic knowledge, I would contend that these information should not be yielded without permission or charging. This is because scientist’s and authors’ grey matter is extremely essential, and if we do not pay for them, we are not thinking highly of their utmost contribution. The graphs below show the total percentage of films released and the total percentage of ticket sales in 1996 and 2000 in a country. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. The bar charts illustrate the summarized proportions of four genres of movies released and their ticket sales in 1996 and 2000 in a particular country. Overall, most categories witnessed an upward trend, except for romantic movies with a reverse pattern in the given time. Another interesting point is that despite the percentage of drama films released being the highest, comedy is much more popular among movie-goers than the other types of film.
