Writing task 1
Task 1: The diagrams give information about changes in a student accommodation. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The two maps depict the main changes that have taken place in a student accommodation between two stages of its development: 2010 and the present day. In general, it appears that the accommodation has been shifted towards a more convenient and spacious area, with far more bedrooms. In terms of interior facilities, there used to be three bedrooms in the accommodation in 2010. However, the living room and a small garden have been removed to build another two bedrooms, resulting in more living space for students. Regarding the surrounding environment, almost all sides of the accommodation used to be covered by the gardens in 2010. In contrast, the southern garden has been eliminated to establish a car parking area for residents, leading to a reduction in green spaces and trees. Another notable change is that a new en-suite room has been introduced, located next to the student bedroom in the bottom right corner of the map. The debate over whether healthcare should be made free for all individuals or be a personal financial responsibility is a contentious issue with strong arguments on both sides. Both perspectives are valid and carry significant weight. In this essay, I will discuss both viewpoints and share my opinion On the one hand, one of the primary justifications for the free healthcare sector and educational industry is its role in ensuring everyone has access to necessary medical services, regardless of their financial status. Therefore, making health care free promotes equity and justice, which prevents the scenario where only the wealthy can afford quality care, which can exacerbate social inequalities. This can lead to a healthier population overall. Additionally, this group can make a significant contribution to the economy of their nation, which means that they have more disposable income for different purposes, including business. Hence, this practice can stimulate economic growth, and the quality of life. On the other hand, others contend that paying for healthcare or education is an individual financial responsibility and the government does not need to concern about this services. On the grounds that funding a universally free health care system requires substantial financial resources, often resulting in higher taxes. To be more specific, in some egalitarian societies such as Germany and Denmark, people living in these nations have access to similar resources and opportunities regardless of their financial backgrounds. However, they must pay handsome taxes. Some argue that such a system is not sustainable in the long term, especially in countries with aging populations. In conclusion, both statements are also valid but I think financial responsibility is a more beneficial approach because of avoiding unnecessary medical expenses. This can lead to a more efficient allocation of resources. WRITING TASK 2
Task 2: Nowadays, more and more older people who need employment compete with the younger people for the same job. What problem does this cause? What is the solution? Many argue that many older people need employment to compete with their younger counterparts. This trend leads to several problems and various solutions should be adopted to improve the situation. Two main problems arise from this phenomenon. Firstly, it can reduce efficiency and productivity for the company. When people get older, they may face various health issues that can lower overall well-being and require timely treatment; hence, older people cannot work consistently and may make mistakes during the work process. Consequently, the company may face severe consequences such as a decrease in sales and overall performance. Secondly, the younger generation may experience stress when competing with older people. The elderly often possess valuable experiences that can contribute to a company’s success, making it more challenging for younger workers to meet the demands of the competitive job market. However, several solutions could be implemented to tackle this issue. One approach is for the government to introduce policies that reduce the retirement age for older generations. This would create job opportunities for the young, allowing them to secure high-paying jobs. Additionally, it can give older individuals more scarce time to take care of their health. Secondly, companies should hire more young employees. Younger generations are now equipped with creativity, diligence, and higher qualifications that the elderly may not possess, which means they can bring many benefits to their company. In conclusion, the competition between older and younger people in the workplace can result in reducing the company’s efficiency and productivity, and mental illness among the young. Fortunately, lowering the retirement age and hiring younger workers are steps that need to be taken by the government and the company to tackle this problem. With these appropriate policies, the workplace will become more balanced in the long term. Mong thầy cô, mọi người chấm chữa bài này giúp em với ạ . Many children these days have an unhealthy lifestyle. Both schools and parents are responsible for solving this problem To what extent do you agree with this statement?
In the contemporary era, it has witnessed a significant number of children have trouble with their medical condition while individuals contend that schools and parents take the responsibility for easing this issue. In my perspective, this concept is evidently true and the latter parts of this essay will discuss further and present effective methods On the one hand, children’s unhealthy condition is heavily reliance on their families.Specifically, modern parents frequently spend a considerable amount of time to work and earn money for that reason they have tendacy to pay fewer attention to the young’s diet, allowing them to consume pre-cooked and fast food. As a result , young residents tend to face with negative illness, thereby reducing their ability to be active and concentrate both at school and home. For instance, due to the unbalanced diet of her family my friend get a bad grade in math, which relates to her capacity to focus on the lesson. One promient option for solving this problem is that parents should encourage their kids to engage in outdoor activities as well as controling their diet strictly On the other side, schools are also responsible for this upward trend.Particularly, asking students to finish and submit their homework on the Internet platform has made room for them to dip into the Internet website.Consequently , shortsightedness, social media addiction and depression will be dealt with by young individuals.Nevertheless, schools can significantly boost their students’ medical condition by providing them with enough knowledge about how to keep fit as well as forcing them to give up rolling in video games or social media. For example , my litter brother, who suffered from obesity , current has a robust lifestyle thank to eating a balanced diet and regular excercises, given by his parent and teacher .As this case reveals, children’s strength rely totally on their families and schools To sum up, schools and families unevitably gain a remarkable impact on the young’s medical condition. On top of that, some effective solutions can be provided by them to improve young residents’ health In the contemporary era, it has witnessed a significant number of children have trouble with their medical condition while individuals contend that schools and parents take the responsibility for easi... In today's competitive market job, employers are placing a greater emphasis on hiring individuals with strong social skills, in addition to qualifications. This trend has given rise to the idea that the former is equally important as the latter when it comes to achieving success in the job. I strongly believe that social skills are the most important. On the one hand, social skills are crucial for effective communication in the workplace. The ability to convey ideas, thoughts, and information clearly is essential to clients and colleagues. Strong social skills can help employers articulate information, actively listen to other thoughts, and adapt skills and knowledge through communication skills. This fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, minimizing misunderstanding, and promoting effective teamwork. For instance, in the workplace, a good leader who has a high qualification will lead a team effectively, they easily resolve problems in flexible ways Additionally, social skills will contribute to effective leadership and management within professional settings. While other skills will showcase technical expertise, the ability to inspire and lead others is equally important for success. Strong social skills allow individuals to motivate and guide their team members and delegate tasks effectively, they will help members who can finish work productively through communication. On the other hand, a leader has just excellent qualifications without soft skills to foster and give employers trust, which impacts on environment workplace, and employers can not reach their full potential. In conclusion, I totally agree that social skills are paramount for employers who want to success in the workplace In today's competitive market job, employers are placing a greater emphasis on hiring individuals with strong social skills, in addition to qualifications. Mong thầy cô, mọi người chấm chữa bài này giúp em với ạ Some argue that music mainly serve as a way for individuals to reduce their stress and anxiety . To what extent do you agree or disagree ?
Some residents contend that music is a principal option for people to unwind and reduce anxiety .In my perspective, I firmly support the idea that listening to music not only helps individuals to relax but also encourages them to express their private experiences On the one hand, music is widely known to have key function for entertainment . Specifically , a significant number of workers frequently enjoy listening to music after hard-working hours since the soft melody , often provided by classical songs, plays a crucial role in emptying employees’ mind as well as contributing to a qualifying sleep for them . According to BBC News, the figures for citizens , who opt listening to their familiar tunes before going to bed , sustainably reach high levels in the contemporary era . As this case reveals, the concept of serving music as method for relaxing purposed gains a remarkable proponents Nonetheless, in spite of the principal function for providing individuals with entertaining matters , it is observable for social media users to see the composers’ stories and presents their feelings.Particularly, composers evidently once in a while take inspiration from their own experiences and then mix them to their albums. As a result , viewers perhaps recognise the equivalents between their personal characteristic through the melodic sound, generated by songwriter. Consequently , this trend has fostered individuals’ will to share their lifestyle , raising the sense of community and sympathy among the general public To sum up , it is true that listening to some tunes is widespread for its use to relax and decrease anxiety . Đề: The table describes the changes of people who went for international travel in 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005 (in millions) The given table details the variations of oversea travelers in 5 different areas over the period of 15 years starting from 1990. Overall, the number of visitors who came to Europe was always the highest, the opposite was true for that of the Middle East. Additionally, there were growths in the figures for 5 areas, except for a decrease in the figure for America by the final year of the period. As for the first year, in 1990, the amount of international holiday-makers in Europe was the highest, accounting for 280.2 million people, followed by America and Asia and the Pacific with 80.5 million people and 60.2 million people respectively. In contrast, 18.2 million people of the total number of holidaymakers belonged to Africa, but it still surpassed that of the Middle East, making up 9.8 million people. When it comes to the quantity of travelers in 2005, the figure for that in Europe soared to just over 400 million people, which still topped the table, compared to the significant increase in the number of travelers coming to Asia and the Pacific to nearly 140 million people. Similarly, while the total foreign holiday-makers visiting Africa and the Middle East experienced gradual rising trends to 28.7 million people and nearly 16 million people in turn, the figure for that in America slightly decreased from well-over 118 million people in 2000 to 113.2 million people in the final year. WRITING TASK 2
Em nhờ thầy cô chấm chữa giúp em bài này ạ, em cảm ơn nhiều ạ Too much emphasis is placed on going to university for academic education. People should be encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified tradespeople such as electricians or plumbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 300 words. BÀI LÀM There are those who contend that excessive significance is laid on university education while vocational training is overlooked, leading to a shortage of experienced tradespeople. Personally, I wholeheartedly concur with the proposition that young individuals should feel motivated to choose vocational training. On the one hand, I approve of the notion that society tends to overemphasize the tertiary academic journey. Societal expectations often necessitate the acquisition of a university degree as a reliable indicator of success. Many youngsters, therefore, feel compelled to pursue higher academic education even though it does not align with their passions or career aspirations. If this trend lingers on, it can instill a sense of disorientation and dissatisfaction in the youth. The pressure on university pursuit, moreover, can lead to an unbalanced job market, characterized by a surplus in graduates from certain academic fields while a shortage in skilled tradespersons. The further repercussions would be higher youth unemployment rates and hindered economic growth of industries based on manual expertise such as the construction and manufacturing domains. On the other hand, I also subject to the standpoint that promoting vocational training is of great benefit. Realistically, there is a growing demand for qualified tradespersons, including electricians and plumbers. Vocational education can equip young individuals with essential skills, qualifications and working experiences, enabling them to enter this sought-after market field. This will, in turn, facilitate infrastructure development and maintenance, bolstering the economic progress of sectors relying heavily on manual labor. Another merit is that these trade occupations can offer generous remuneration packages, fostering employers’ financial security and job fulfillment as well as cultivating a balanced and resilient economy. In conclusion, I remain in complete agreement with the viewpoint that the young generation should not be pressured into pursuing tertiary education as the only path to success, and vocational training should hold equal value as this approach can encourage skill development and create a well-rounded and thriving employment market while satiating the need for qualified tradespeople. Hence, governments and industries should collaborate to promote vocational training through incentives, apprenticeships, and partnerships, providing necessary support for students choosing this path. The diagram illustrates the Life Cycle process of frogs in a pond. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. The picture depicts the stages in the lifespan of frogs in a pond. Overall, there are several stages in the life cycle of a frog from eggs to adult frogs. Initially, the eggs grow into embryos from which tiny tadpoles emerge and cling to plants in the water or this pond. At this stage, these tadpoles are black and have a short body and a long tail. As they grow, external gills for breathing are produced, and then the lengthening tail keeps on growing. The next stage is that their hindlegs start to appear, and their black skin changes into dark green. Meanwhile, they rely on the nutrients stored in the tail, contributing to their development. In the next stage, the front legs appear and their tail becomes shorter. After the two stages, they become baby frogs. Finally, those young frogs continue growing and become adult frogs with bright green skin. The diagram illustrates the Life Cycle process of frogs in a pond. Task 2: Government should make people responsible for looking after their own local environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Environmental problems have become major concerns today because of their severe consequences. Some argue that the government should enforce policies that make individuals responsible for maintaining their own local environment. From my perspective, I agree with this statement. There are several reasons why I believe people should be responsible for looking after their local environment. Firstly, local environments can directly affect the health of local communities. This is because people live in degraded environments, with lots of rubbish on the streets, polluted water, and fewer trees, it can make them uncomfortable and stressful. Furthermore, polluted environments can result in various diseases due to the proliferation of bacteria. For instance, it has been proven that people who live in unclean environments are more likely to suffer from physical health problems than those who live in cleaner environments. Another reason is that this can foster a strong sense of local cohesion. When neighbors work on environmental projects, such as street clean-ups or local recycling programs, which lead to strong social bonds and foster a sense of shared purpose. For example, many local environmental campaigns have been launched over the years, leading to not only improved local environments but also strong community bonds. In conclusion, while the government can play a vital role in protecting the environment, I agree that people should be held responsible for their local environment due to their own health and social cohesion. People should take care of their local environment to live in a greener life and in a more harmonious community. Task 2: Government should make people responsible for looking after their own local environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Overall, there are both natural and man-made processes starting with the crown of the pineapples and ending with three different sizes of the pineapples. The smallest ones become juice, the second smaller ones are canned and the largest ones are exported globally. At first, the pineapples are planted and grown in tropical climates (around 23 to 30 celsius) with different sizes varied from 28 to 30 cm and the weight of 2kg, and all the pineapples are sealed with ethanline to keep its freshness. After that, the pineapples collected are cleaned and sorted into three groups varied in sizes. The smallest pineapples have their crowns cut and all their skins removed. Then, they are put in an extractor, which can make the pineapples into juice. The medium-sized pineapples also have their crowns cut. Đề: Some think most crime is the result of circumstances e.g. poverty and other social problems. Others believe that most crime is caused by people who are bad by nature. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. It is said that crime is driven by conditions such as poverty and other social issues, while individuals who are inherently immoral are believed to be the main cause of illegal activities. In this essay, I will analyse both sides of the topic, and I believe that greed is the primary factor contributing to the prevalence of crime. On the one hand, some argue that long-term exposure to poverty can lead to criminal behaviour. Individuals living in poverty often face a lack of basic necessities and financial insecurity due to unemployment, which may drive them to commit crimes as a means of survival or escape. To illustrate, slums in major cities such as Chicago and New York often experience high rates of illegal activities, including theft and drug trafficking, due to limited job prospects and poor living conditions, such as water shortages and dilapidated housing. Therefore, residents in these areas frequently live in fear and anxiety. On the other hand, others believe that the desire for pleasure and enjoyment through violent and sadistic behaviours of some particular types of people can result in illegal activities. Given that some specific types of residents have distorted perceptions for personal pleasures, they will tend to conduct activities that go against morality. As an illustration, Ted Bundy, a notorious serial killer, targeted young women, rendered them unconscious, and then took them to secluded areas where he committed heinous acts, including rape and murder, as a result of a twisted desire for control and sexual gratification. According to this view, monitoring and addressing such behaviours early in young children is crucial to preventing future criminal activities. To summarise, both sides have their valid viewpoints, such as criminal behaviour of an individual is caused by the long-term living in poor conditions and the twisted desire for personal pleasure and enjoyment. However, I feel that greed that is increased after escaping from poverty can take control of people and lead them to commit a crime. Taking Carlos Lehder who was who grew up in underprivileged Columbian family and became a notorious drug lord as an illustration, in order to protect his large-scale lucrative drug operation, he hired assassins to eliminate anyone who threatened his business that varied from government officials to those who disobeyed his orders, causing widespread violence and suffering for countless Columbians. At the first stage, the sugar canes are planted and wait to grow for a duration of 12 to 18 months. After that, there can be two ways to harvest those canes, one using trucks or machines and one having manual workers doing the job. When all the sugar canes are collected, there is a crushing machine which extracts the juice out of the canes. Following that, the juice is purified using a limestone filter. The next step is bringing the juice to an evaporator, which can heat the juice and make it into syrup. Then, there is a centrifuge stage separating the sugar crystals from the syrup. After collecting all the sugar, they are put in a metal container to dry and cool down, which will become sugar later. The diagram illustrates how sugar is produced from sugar canes. An increasing number of people are choosing to have cosmetic surgery in order to improve their appearance. Why do people have operations to change the way they look?
In this day and age, more and more individuals are choosing to prioritize a medical operation to change their externality rather than their health. In this essay, I would depict the reasons behind this social tendency and provide my perspective. There are some primary reasons that explain why people have operations to change the way they look. One of the driving forces behind this trend is the rising popularity of social media and the Internet. As the use of networking sites becomes a norm for many individuals, people now easily have access to the social beauty standard. The pictures of beauty celebrities, the valuation of online comments about people’s appearance have a significant impact on their self-esteem and their desire to change how they look. Another reason comes from the development of cosmetic surgery technology and methods, which have become widely disseminated with a highly successful rate. For instance, there are a lot of beauty bloggers who share their story about the advancement in their look and their life after the operations. The process of cosmetic surgery which is introduced can be a form of advertising and the admiration from the public due to their look can also become a motivation for others. Despite a considerable rise in the number of cosmetic surgeries over the past few years, I believe that it is an adverse development with various consequences. One of them is the detrimental effects on one’s health if a surgery is not properly conducted. Specifically, these operations often involve several potential risks of complications such as infections or scarring , which may exacerbate people’s health conditions or even threaten their life. On the other hand, enhancing someone’s appearance can boost their self-esteem and feel more confident and happy within themselves. By undergoing cosmetic surgery, people are regaining their self-confidence and leading happier lives as a result, which I believe is a very positive development. In conclusion, although there have been cases where plastic surgery has been detrimental, overall I believe that whether it is used to help improve one’s appearance and self confidence, it is helping to improve the lives of millions of people around the world. In this day and age, more and more individuals are choosing to prioritize a medical operation to change their externality rather than their health. Overall, it can be seen that attendance percentages at all education levels witnessed increases with vocational schools suffering the most. Notably, this problem was mainly attributed to the tendency of both parents working. Regarding the attendance proportions, elementary schools recorded the largest share of attendance with 91% in 2007 and the figure increased by 7% at the end. In 2007, the respective figures for lower and higher secondary schools were 85% and 75%, and they both rose to 95% in 2012. Vocational education consistently experienced the lowest attendance rates, at 71% in 2017 and 88% in 2012 respectively. The line graph illustrates the percentage of British citizens who own 1 car, 2 cars, 3 cars and no car between 1975 and 2005. Overall, it is clear that while those who do not own any cars and own 3 cars were on an upward trend, those in two-car households had the opposite pattern, and the figure for people owning 1 car remained relatively stable. Notably, those who owned 1 car ranked first throughout the period. For those with 1 car, their share started at around 45% in 1975 and dropped sharply to 38% after 10 years, then,it suddenly recovered to its original level in 2005, remaining at the top (compared to the others.). However, regarding 2 cars ownership, it started at a relatively high number, above 40%; however, it decreased significantly to about 24% in 1985 and continued to decline to about 21% in the final year. The given diagram illustrates the stages involved in the process of recycling paper. Overall, this process comprises pulp and culminates in the production of recycled paper. In the initial step of the recycling process, used paper is placed on a conveyor belt that transports air into a mixture of water and chemical agents. Here, the paper is broken down into individual fibers, resulting in a slurry-like pulp. Next, the slurry undergoes a filtration process to impurities. This is followed by a thorough cleaning stage, where water, soap, and air are used to wash the pulp and eliminate ink residues. Additionally, water and chemicals are then added to further enhance the removal process. In the fourth stage, the cleaned pulp is poured onto another conveyor belt, which carries it through a drying process involving heated rollers to remove the water. Finally, the dred paper is wound into rolle of recycled paper, ready for use in distribution. The given diagram illustrates the stages involved in the process of recycling paper. Overall, this process comprises pulp and culminates in the production of recycled paper. In the initial step of t... Read more
