The chart compared the figure for employees who have a job in a distinct major in one area of Australia across 7 years. Overall, there was a significant number of workers who worked in sales in both 2 years, while that of farming showed the smallest number of employees in the total workforce. All job categories saw an increase in workers after 7 years, with the exception of accounting and nursing. Delving into specifics, the sales sector exhibits the highest number of workers, approximately 160,000 in 2001 and then expanded over 160,000 in 2008. This is followed by the computing major, which employed around under 60,000 individuals in 2001 and, after 7 years, demonstrating a growth trajectory, nearly 80,000 employees. The data for accounting had a faint gap in the number of people who took part in between 2001 (about 62,000 workers) and 2008 (about 59,000 workers), dropping about 3,000 people. While the nursing sector received a minimal climb in the number of employees throughout the period (from over 50,000 people in 2001 to nearly 60,000 people in 2008), that of farming witnessed a relative decline (from approximately 30,000 people in 2001 to 20,000 people in 2008). In conclusion, there was a remarkable difference between the human resources in the sales sector and the farming sector as a result of the economic structure change from manual labor to service industry. The bar chart compares Internet usage rates of people in five age brackets between 2003 and 2006. Overall, all examined age groups showed significant rises in Internet utilization rates, with 25-44-year-olds registering the most pronounced increase, while the 16-24 age cohort always had the highest proportion throughout. Looking first at the younger groups, namely 16-24 and 25-44 ones, the former commenced with the highest number of exactly 80%, which was nearly doubled the figure for adults aged 25 to 44, at around 50%. Thereafter, the 16-24 age group experienced a peak of 100% in 2005, before declining slightly to over 84% in 2006. Following an upward trend, the percentage of Internet users aged between 25 to 44 saw a significant 10% increase each year and finally achieved 80% in 2006. Turning to other older groups, 45-to-54-year-olds, whose initial figure stood at 60%, witnessed their rate increase steadily and finished at the same level as people aged 25 to 44, at 80%. In contrast, the 55-64 cohort fluctuated considerably throughout the surveyed period before stopping at just over 50%, which nearly doubled its starting point. Finally, using the Internet was by far the least popular among those aged over 65, although by 2006, utilization of this demographic had risen slightly to 20%, up from approximately 18% in its first year recorded. Task 1: the diagram below shows the process of milk production The diagram illustrate how dairy milk is produced. Overall, the system involves multiple stages, commencing with cow grazing and ending with packaging for wide commercial distribution. The initial stage begins with cows grazing on pastureland, which provides them with adequate nutrients for milk production. These cows then undergo a process of milking twice a day, using a specilzed machine, after which their milk will be stored in a refrigerated tank to preserve its freshness. The extracted milk is later transported via daily tankers to a dairy factory, preparing for further steps. In the subsequent stage, milk in large containers undergoes two separate processing routes, one of which includes milk being an ingredient to make other dairy foods such as cheese, cream, and butter. The other entails pasteurizing the milk to extend it expiry date and ensure a qualified taste. Once processed, the milk, through a conveyer belt, is finally packaged before being distributed to retail institutions like shops and supermarkets for consumer goods. You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The charts below show the percentage of workers in three sectors across four countries in 1980 and 2010.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words. The two bar charts depict the proportion of employees in three sectors in 1980 and 2010 in Germany, the USA, Japan and China. Overall, there were reductions in the agriculture and service sectors while industry increased in most countries, with the exception of China whose number of industrial workers remained stable in both years. In western countries and Japan, the majority of working people were employed in the industry sector, with 60% in Germany, and about 55% in America and Japan in 1980. These numbers surged in 2010 when all three nations experienced a roughly 20% increase. These states were also the least focused on farming as they all had less than 10% of workers employed in this field in 2010. In the service sector, these states witnessed slight decreases of less than 10%. China had a drastically different development compared to the rest of the nations as its industry field did not fluctuate in the two recorded years, remaining stable at 40%. Another discrepancy was the dominance of China’s farming sector where approximately 70% of people are employed in 1980, though this number fell to 50% 30 years later. Moreover, China also had the most dramatic fall of more than 20% in the percentage of service workers. You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Some people think that childcare centers provide the best services for children of preschool age. Others think that family members such as grandparents will be better caters for their kids. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Some individuals believe that the optimal choice for fostering their children is to rely on childcare centers. In contrast, others think that having older family members care for their children is a superior option. In this essay, I will evaluate the persuasiveness of each viewpoint before presenting my personal opinion. On the one hand, there are several key reasons why some people believe it is necessary to send their children to nurseries. Scientific evidence shows that children require structured care for holistic development, which can be effectively provided in preschools. These centers typically have a team of teachers trained in professional childcare skills, including behavior management and educational techniques. Additionally, early childhood centers offer socialization opportunities that are unique to the schooling environment, helping to develop communication skills, which are one of the most crucial social skills for their well-being in the future. On the other hand, opponents of the previous view argue that taking care of family members is a better way to ensure children's full development. The proximity to strangers, which is common in educational environments, may negatively impact the emotions of early childhood, as they can experience feelings of loneliness and isolation. In a home education setting, such issues could be better mitigated due to familial bonding, which fosters a sense of familiarity for children. Additionally, living together for an extended period allows grandparents to understand their grandchildren’s needs, enabling them to design suitable personalized care plans based on each child's character. In conclusion, I believe that the ultimate decision should be made according to each parent's specific needs. If parents want their children to develop numerous social skills and broaden their horizons, choosing a childcare center is the superior option. In contrast, if children are introverts who often feel anxious in new environments, maintaining a close relationship is inevitably the best option. Differences between countries become less evident each year. Nowadays all over the world, people share the same fashions, advertising, brands, eating habits, TV channels. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh disadvantages? As globalization has brought people from different nations together regardless of geographical boundaries, sharing the same interests has engendered some valid concerns. Although this trend is not without the demerits, the upsides will justify this. Admittedly, the global assimilation of human lifestyles plays an indispensable part in flourishing the economy and connecting people’s preferences in many parts of the world. First, when people purchase items through similar brands or advertisements, many companies might stand a chance to export products overseas, which boosts the economic growth. Without the increasing demand of using the same brands, they might be restricted from selling the products in their own country and fail to expand their business globally. Second, if different nationals share the similarity in their diets or TV channels, the connection to other countries and international solidarity will be enhanced, leading to harmony and peace. In fact, since tourism in recent years has been in a great demand, sharing the same eating lifestyles and updating global news enable people to gain a deeper insight into the place they intend to pay a visit to, which avoids potential conflicts and cultural shocks. Despite the aforementioned benefits above, it is imprudent to overlook the disadvantages of this trend towards cultural identity and citizen’s lives. First, given that each country has their own cultural features in many aspects, either human lifestyles or recreations, sharing the similarity undermines the culture. For example, in many regions where people have their own special cuisine and costumes, the ubiquity of food and clothes from other countries makes local people indifferent to their traditions and cultures. In addition, the exposure to alien cultures affects human lives and leads to misunderstandings and difficult adaptations. Many people struggle to adapt to different lifestyles from different cultures, especially the seniors, which widens the already-growing gap between two generations. In conclusion, while people from different countries sharing the same preferences may have an adverse bearing on culture features and local people’s lives, the benefits of this development in connecting people and boosting economy is far more significant. Differences between countries become less evident each year. Nowadays all over the world, people share the same fashions, advertising, brands, eating habits, TV channels. More people put their personal information online (address, telephone number…) for everyday activities such as socializing on social networks or banking purposes. Do you think it is a positive or negative development? It is true that more and more people have shared their information online associated with social activities or transactions. Personally, I am of the opinion that although this trend relatively accommodates online shopping for users, it has mostly negative impacts on their privacy. On the one hand, posting personal information on online platforms may facilitate superior buying experience for users. This is because the advancements of technology allow commercial corporations to collect visitors’ information via websites that they have access to, thereby providing more personalized suggestions for customers. This can be clearly exemplified when purchasing commodities on e-commercial platforms such as Shopee or Facebook, people may come across a wide range of items that match their desires because of their personal information given before. Thus, the process of shopping can be expedited thereby meeting customers’ shopping demands. On the other hand, sharing personal information on the Internet could make users susceptible to criminal activities. The private information posted online can be exploited for various illicit purposes. This can be seen in the case of Vietnam, where various users have become victims of financial fraud annually due to providing their personal data on websites without realizing that their data can be leaked and gathered by hackers. Cyberthieves have been utilizing their engineering expertise to exploit a variety of vulnerable customer data in a bid to earn a big fortune. This leads to a large number of people losing their wealth and possessions. In conclusion, despite relatively minor convenience pertaining to the shopping experience of customers, I firmly believe that governments should take serious measures to secure residents’ privacy and obscure them from security risks. More people put their personal information online (address, telephone number…) for everyday activities such as socializing on social networks or banking purposes. Task 2: In the past, knowledge was stored in books. Today people store knowledge on the internet. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? Along with the advancement of technology comes an array of media platforms that facilitate users in gaining knowledge in lieu of books. While this trend may indeed pose several drawbacks, these are eclipsed by the substantial benefits it offers in many aspects. Those who oppose the replacement of printed materials might argue that e-books fail to provide readers with an immersive experience. Publication, they say, is something irreplaceable given the tactile experience of flipping through its pages. This sense can foster a nostalgic connection coming with holding a physical book in hand. Also, accessing knowledge through this book can mitigate eyesight problems, such as short-sightedness or astigmatism. Green Life’s research indicates that children are 70% more likely to suffer from short-sightedness and headaches if they acquire information through screens. However, this notion is deeply flawed given the fact that screen technologies have improved significantly by adjusting text size, brightness, and other settings to reduce eye strain. Granted, we cannot discount the positive effects of digital books. First, this form of reading can preserve human knowledge for longer periods of time, as the risk of wear, mould, or tearing is minimal. Preserving information in this manner enables societies to pass down their civilisation and understanding to successors. The ability to search for information or historical evidence that people posted several decades ago perfectly exemplifies this statement. Also, online reading is relatively budget-friendly, reducing colossal costs, such as printing and transportation, which helps more children access education. Although this access is limited in some remote areas or certain types of equipment, its substantial advantages far outweigh these limitations. In conclusion, it is undeniable that the tactile experience and user-friendly features of traditional materials are difficult to replicate with digital ones. However, I fervently believe that the merits of digital technology can overshadow those as technology continues to improve. Word count: 306 words Task 2: In the past, knowledge was stored in books. TASK 2: Group or team activities can teach more important skills for life than those activities which are done alone. Do you agree or disagree? The question of whether group activities or idividual jobs are more efficient in teaching vital skills invites polarized perspectives. From my standpoint, the given assertion holds a degree of truth yet it is heavily reliant on different contexts in which they are evaluated. However, I strongly believe that it is better to participate in a group rather than doing it all alone. The subsequent discussion will meticulously delve into the reasons underpinning my stance. The advantages of doing personal activities are evident, mostly stemming from the development of determination. Since individuals have to do all the work by themselves, it enhances their level of concentration and discipline. Moreover, doing personal activities means they have such extreme competition, which boosts the aforementioned skills. Take doing sports as an example, single player titles require much higher endurance and flexibility, which can be obtained through training as well as tournaments. Despite the evident beneficial impacts of individual activities, I am in complete agreement with the assertion of working in a group, since it helps develop team-working abilities and strengthen one’s sense of responsibility. Working in a group helps establish a number of related skills, one example being communication skills, which can serve as a tool for developing new connections. Furthermore, a person’s sense of responsibility can be enhanced. This is a result of motivation and requirements of teams’ members. For instance, a number of schools in Vietnam have proposed a new teaching plan which involves group projects. As a result, such a high increase in grades and performance have been seen among students. In conclusion, after meticulous consideration of whether group activities or idividual jobs are more efficient in teaching vital skills, it emerges conspicuously that both types of work help to develop unique essential abilities. However, my endorsement of the proposition that group work enhances people’s skills and responsibilities far exceeds the benefits of individual work remains unwavering. Employers should give their staff at least four weeks' holiday a year to make employees better at their work. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There has been various debate over whether employees should be allowed to have a minimum of one month for holiday during a work year or not. Proponents of this idea believe that this can improve job productivity, and I personally somewhat agree with the abovementioned perspective for the following reasons. On the one hand, many people object to long vacations for employees for various reasons. They are concerned that an extended break could weaken the company’s performance. Obviously, when an employee takes a week off, a link in an entire chain is missing, potentially disrupting workflow. For instance, when a banking consultant goes on a business trip for a month, the bank may be understaffed, providing services to customers more slowly and negatively affecting both operational efficiency and satisfaction of customers. Nevertheless, I reckon that it is the organization's responsibility to ensure they can maintain productivity during employee absence. Proper preparation and contingency plans are needed to handle such situations. For example, informing customers about temporary staffing shortages can promote understanding and empathy. Furthermore, companies with multiple branches can seek support from other locations to minimize the impact. On the other hand, providing employees with at least four weeks of vacation per year is extremely important. There are many reasons why people dedicate themselves to their work. Some aim to advance their careers, while others seek abundant income to enjoy life to the fullest. In the first case, employees may sacrifice leisure time, potentially leading to long-term health problems and work-life imbalance. Because of this, a paid vacation will encourage proper rest, help them recharge, and prevent stress-related burnout or other health-related problems. For people whose goal is pleasure, work is seen as a means to a more enjoyable life and therefore they tend to work to secure income for their next trip or to take good care of their family. than. Therefore, a 4-week vacation can give them a sense of purpose at work, improving their productivity. In conclusion, I strongly advocate extending the vacation for at least 4 weeks. It gives employees a chance to relieve stress and motivates them to work harder. Some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
In this competitive society, there has been ongoing debate about whether competition or cooperation at work and in everyday life is more beneficial. While some believe that by competing with each other, individuals could enhance their specialities, others argue that collaboration fosters a more supportive and productive environment. Personally, I firmly advocate a balanced approach, recognizing the value of the methods outlined above. On the one hand, it is admitted that competition can be a powerful driving force. Obviously, this encourages employees and people to strive for excellence which tends to result in higher performance and innovation. For example, in the study environments, if students compete for top grades, they would devote themselves in developing their studies, resulting in deeper understanding of the knowledge and better academic outcomes. Similarly, competition at work for promotions or higher positions and income is a major contributor to motivating employees to work hard in a corporate context. Nevertheless, at home, competition rarely has a positive effect. Family members who constantly compete for admiration and recognition are likely to suffer from poor mental health. Therefore, it is essential to maintain a harmonious relationship between normal daily life and working life. On the other hand, working together can easily create approachable benefits to improve one’s efficiency and practical skills. When individuals work in a team, regardless of school or work environments, they are more likely to experience high levels of motivation, and more crucially, enjoyment. This can be a better way to reduce work competitiveness, stress and also generate more quality relationships between colleagues. For instance, some football players who participate in a competition, the most memorable and lasting memories of their experience often come from small moments of camaraderie shared with teammates. This is why many people consider time spent working as a team toward a common goal to be the highlight of life. In Conclusion, although competition can create innovation, cooperation provides a more important environment for mutual respect and enjoyment of life; Therefore, I admit that depending on the situation, finding a cooperative understanding is mandatory. In this competitive society, there has been ongoing debate about whether competition or cooperation at work and in everyday life is more beneficial. Task 2: Some people think technology development decreases crime, while others believe it actually encourages crime. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. It is believed that technological progress reduces crime, while others argue that it causes a reverse pattern. In this essay, both views will be discussed, before a personal stance is taken on the matter, asserting that technology development encourages crime. On the one hand, people think that technological advancement can lead to low crime rates because more high-tech security measures have been taken to prevent crime. Many technological devices such as CCTV cameras and facial recognition software have been improved to enhance security systems at housing and workplaces, deterring potential criminals. Moreover, technological development can facilitate crime reduction through communication devices. For instance, mobile devices can enable police and citizens to communicate with each other in real-time and respond quickly in emergencies. As a result, criminals need to stop doing illegal behaviors, unless they risk facing legal punishment. On the other hand, it is undeniable that criminals have become more sophisticated in their methods thanks to technological development, resulting in encouraging crime. Although modern technology can help people streamline tasks and access entertainment platforms, it can facilitate identity theft and cyber fraud as users are required to provide their personal information to access most social networking apps. For instance, many hackers can now easily manage users’ Facebook accounts and use them for illegal purposes such as online fraud. Furthermore, criminals might easily track citizens through location tracking devices, therefore it can help them commit crimes conveniently. In conclusion, while technological progress can pave the way for preventing crime in society due to up-to-date technological and communication devices, I believe it can contribute to committing crime through social networking sites and location tracking. In my view, governments should spearhead technological initiatives to deter crime, ensuring the long-term well-being of humans. The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. The question of whether the working week should be reduced and the employees ought to have longer weekends invites polarized perspectives, ranging from those who wholeheartedly endorse it to others who express reservation. From my standpoint, I am in complete agreement with the assertion above. The subsequent discussion will meticulously delve into the reasons underpinning my stance. On the one hand, long working hours during weekdays negatively affects employees’ health and mental state. Firstly, the physical health of workers will undoubtedly be weakened. While blue-collar workers can face vision defects along with a number of issues associated with body functions. Heavy laborers will suffer from spine problems. For instance, a great number of Vietnamese have been recorded having issues related with either their body functions or skeletal system. Secondly, the mental health of these workers are concerning. The lack of social hours due to extensive working duration results in a plethora of mental issues, for example depression and sleep deprivation. Furthermore, too much exposure to these problems leads to detrimental body disfunctions, posing a threat to people’s lives. On the other hand, providing an extended weekend absolutely enhances employees productivity and social connections. Evident increase in employees’ efficiency can be found in companies with prolonged off-days. Having enough time to rest helps reduce the intesensity and pressure on people’s minds, thus enhancing the speed in which they can process information later. This is similar to computers, which requires clearance of storage after a specific amount of time. Secondly, having sufficient time for social activities is instrumental. The duration that most people require for their connections ranges from 2-3 days per week. Workers who are provided with enough social time in big companies such as Google or Apple have proved enhancement in their physical and mental abilities, making them much more efficient in the working time. In conclusion, after meticulous consideration of whether the working week should be reduced and the weekends should be extended. It emerges conspicuously that the associated beneficial impacts on productivity and social connections are undeniably crucial. As a result, my endorsement of the proposition that prolonged weekends must be provided remains unwavering. The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. Task 1: The diagram below shows how one type of coal is used to produce electricity. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The diagram depicts the process of manufacturing electricity by a specific type of coal. Overall, there are several stages in the process of producing electricity, starting with mining coal in natural environments and ending with distributing the electricity to residential areas and industrial factories. In the first step, coal is excavated by miners and then it is put into the crusher. The next stage is that the crushed coal is delivered to the gasifier to heat. After that, having been heated until transformed into gas, the gas is cooled. While cooling the gas, the waste heat is emitted into the atmosphere. After the cooling stage, the gas is cleaned and then transferred to the gas power plant. At this stage, the gas power plant also gives off the waste heat as the cooling stage and electricity is generated at the same time. The process finishes with the electricity being distributed to housing and factories for humans’ activities. Task 1: The diagram below shows how one type of coal is used to produce electricity. Đề: The graph below gives information about the percentage of the population in four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020, with predictions for 2030 and 2040. Bài làm: The given line graph depicts the proportion of the population residing in urban areas across four Asian countries, namely Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia over the interval of 5 decades starting from 1970, with projections for 2030 and 2040. Overall, the total urban residents in four nations will experience rising trends throughout the period. Additionally while the rate of population in Malaysia will become the highest, the reverse will be true for that of Thailand. As for the top nations, in the Philippines, the figure was the highest in 1970, at nearly a third, after which it is forecasted to increase steadily to roughly a half in 2040. Meanwhile, Malaysia, which started at just over 30% urban residents in 1970, is expected to surge to nearly 80% by 2040, marking the highest increase among the countries. When it comes to the remaining countries with lower proportion of total population, in 1970, the figures for Thailand and Indonesia were nearly 15% and just below a fifth respectively. Task 2: Nowadays eating habits of people around the world are changing, causing them many health problems, including obesity. Why do people tend to eat so badly? What can be done to improve their eating habits? Along with the growth of society comes an array of health-related issues, including obesity given people changing diets. This essay will first delve into the underlying reasons of this phenomenon before proposing some viable solutions to improve the situation. Bad eating habits are largely attributed to the inclination towards a sedentary lifestyle and food advertising. Regarding the former, in light of hectic schedules, many people prioritize fast food and convenience meals, which are often high in calories, sugar, and unhealthy fats rather than cooking by themselves. This shift in priorities often leads to serious health diseases such as overweight, diabetes and even cancer. This is compounded by food advertisements, driving people to buy sugary drinks, high-fat snacks and other unhealthy foods. The marketing strategies of chains like KFC, Lotteria, and Texas Chicken serve as a testament to this trend. To change people's poor dietary habits, the following measures should be taken. First, it is imperative for governments to introduce policies or regulations that tightly control or ban junk food advertising. This can be achieved through initiatives such as imposing hefty fines on violating companies and censoring advertisements’ content before releasing it to the market. For example, the UK has banned junk food ads on TV during children's programming and restricted online ads targeting kids, as well as limited promotional offers on unhealthy foods. In tandem with this, the public needs to be fully cognizant of the health risks posed by overeating and the lack of exercise. This knowledge should be involved in educational programmes for children and spread through several campaigns organized by policymakers. Such a two-pronged approach could go a long way towards cultivating a good habit for eating. In conclusion, what seems to be the core of unhealthy eating patterns may stem from inactive lifestyles and commercialization. Through heightened awareness and the enforcement of stringent regulations, society can work towards reversing this troubling trend. Task 2: Some people say in order to prevent illness and disease, governments should focus on reducing environmental pollution and housing problems. To what extent do you agree and disagree? Along with the growth of human society comes a perennial debate about what governments should do to improve public health. A school of thought holds that it is imperative for them to alleviate environmental degradation and residential challenges. I personally disagree with this proposal, despite acknowledging the reasons for it. Advocates for the enhancement of the environment and housing issues might argue that its direct impacts on public health are irrevocable. Mitigating environmental contamination, they say, can lead to cleaner air and water, thereby reducing respiratory diseases and waterborne illnesses. Also, access to fresh air and clean water sources could lead to healthier food products, which directly benefit the digestive system. By the same token, addressing overcrowding and lack of sanitation might advance living conditions and better overall health for residents. This can be seen in the Dharavi Redevelopment Project in Mumbai. By replacing informal settlements with modern housing and improving access to clean water and proper sewage systems, the project sought to enhance living standards and residents' overall well-being. However, the aforementioned notion is deeply flawed given the fact that a singular focus on the environment and housing is insufficient and that a multi-faceted approach should be adopted. First, governments should prioritize incentivizing individuals to pursue the medical field. This can be achieved through some initiatives such as updating health-related educational programs and providing scholarships for outstanding students or graduates with high entrance exam scores. In tandem with this, it is also essential to raise public awareness, as understanding the repercussions of diseases and illnesses can encourage residents to adopt sustainable practices and maintain healthy living environments. The numerous scholarships offered by Singapore's Ministry of Health Holdings to attract talent to the healthcare sector perfectly exemplify this approach. In conclusion, although tackling pollution and housing challenges can offer substantial benefits, I fervently believe that a combination of actions is necessary to improve overall public well-being. Task 2: With growing number of population in cities. Many people are living in small homes that don’t have outdoor spaces. Is this a positive or negative development? Along with the explosion of population comes a debate concerning the lack of open-air spaces in city housing. While this trend may indeed offer some substantial benefits, these are eclipsed by the potential drawbacks posed to city dwellers. Granted, proponents of compact living contend that eliminating gardens and balconies within urban dwellings can optimize land use. Such buildings, they say, will maximise the residential capacity of a given area, accommodating a larger population. It is estimated that areas with concrete houses can accommodate five times more residents than their counterparts. Social interactions, alongside a strong sense of community, and inclination towards sustainable lifestyle are other advantages. Not only does the lack of outdoor spaces encourage people to seek out public parks and community spaces, but it also fosters a preference for minimalism and reduced unnecessary consumption. The argument in favour of adding open-air areas to houses is further fortified by the numerous disadvantages it can bring to humans. First, physical and mental health issues given the absence of natural light and fresh air, as well as opportunities for physical activities such as gardening and recreation, are the foremost concerns. Many scientists and researchers have emphasized a strong correlation between spending time in nature and improved mental health. Residents without access to outdoor spaces may experience increased feelings of isolation, stress, and even depression. A study by the University of Exeter shows that people who spend at least two hours a week in nature are more likely to report good health and psychological well-being. In conclusion, although the trend of smaller homes without outdoor spaces offers some benefits in terms of land use efficiency, its negative consequences for the health and well-being of residents are far more significant. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize the creation of green spaces and outdoor areas in urban planning to ensure a better quality of life for city dwellers. Word count: 313 words.
