Topic: Nowadays, we can watch entertainment performances from the screen (laptop, etc), and no need to watch it live. To what extent do you agree? It is often alleged that people can watch entertainment performances online instead of attending the live shows thanks to the development of technology. Although I acknowledge the logic behind this view, I still strongly disagree with it for several reasons. Advocates for online performances may have some valid arguments. They may well argue that watching art performances through technological devices can be more flexible for audiences, especially those who can barely manage to come to the show’s venue. During the Covid-19 pandemic, for instance, many concerts of KPOP idols were broadcasted online to satisfy their fans’ need for entertainment. Another reason is that people can save a significant amount of money from opting for watching shows online. To be specific, fees for online shows are significantly lower than the live ones, thereby they are able to enjoy the entertainment online without having to pay handsomely. Nevertheless, I still strongly oppose this view and believe that attending live performances can be more beneficial to both audiences and artists. Firstly, by seeing the close-up performances, audiences are likely to enjoy and immerse in the atmosphere of the shows which is a vital factor of the entertainment’s appeal. In fact, the crowd effect at live shows may foster people’s delirium and satisfaction which helps them to relieve stress and mental exhaustion from their daily basis. As for astists, the applause from live audiences plays an important role in encouraging them to be more enthusiastic on stage. As a result, the performers can grow to love their professions more as their devotion receives deserved recognitions from the viewers. In conclusion, despite the advantages that enjoy the showcases online can bring, admiring them in real life offer audiences irreplaceable experiences and performers can also be motivated to dedicate to their work. đề: The plan below show a school in 1985 and the school now. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Bài làm: The two maps illustrate the layout of a school in 1985 and the present day. Overall, the school has undergone significant changes to accommodate the growing number of students (from 1,500 to 2,300 students), with the most changes being in the side of road and playing fields to make room for additional learning and sports facilities. Further changes have also been made to the school's access and parking facilities. Looking first at the southern part of the campus, in 1985, it was containly occupied by the playing fields. They are now half the size they used to be, with a new pool and a fitness centre built in the west and new classrooms constructed in the north east corner. Just north of the new sport facilities now stand a new larger classroom building, replacing the one that once lay next to the old library. The library has been repurposed into a new learning resources and a dedicated computer room. Upon entering the school, in 1985, there were rounds around a rectangular car park and going south to the playing fields. The car park has been redesigned into a semicircle, with corresponding changes to the road around it. The smaller car park located just south of this driveway, along with the road that led to playing fields has been removed. Another major change has taken place in the east of the campus, where the classroom block now has 3 storeys instead of 2, and a new green area has been introduced in place of the road. đề: The plan below show a school in 1985 and the school now. Đề: In today’s competitive world, many families find it necessary for both parents to go out to work. While some say the children in these families benefit from the additional income, others feel they lack support because of their parents’ absence. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words Bài làm Recently, family finance has emerged as a polarizing topic. Many households feel it is crucial that both husband and wife have to share the financial burden. A school of thought holds that higher income from the parents will bring many advantages to their children. However, some others are opposed to this idea, claiming that the children of working parents suffer from neglected parenting. From my perspective, both views are of great significance in equal measure, and I will further elaborate in this essay. A large number of people believe that children will enjoy a better life quality if both their father and mother go to work. It is undeniable that these families will have higher incomes and can afford lots of costly things such as high-end clothes, video games, and mobile phones. Furthermore, their parents can also provide their children with high-quality medical and healthcare services as well as comprehensive education. Thanks to their parent’s wealth, children can greatly benefit from many opportunities to experience, discover more, and enjoy a prosperous life. As a matter of fact, the children of working parents tend to come to many developed countries to study abroad. What is more, parents can also afford a lot of lavish holidays overseas for their children together with numerous high-standard services. In terms of food demand, well-off families will certainly provide their children with different kinds of choices and nutritious viands. Daily balanced and healthy meals with the finest nutrition will result in good physical development of a child. Having said that, the proponents of this view argue that careless parenting leads to bad outcomes. I also agree that children can easily fall into temptation without parents’ care, affection, and encouragement. For further explanation, children may face a great deal of difficulties in studying if no one assists them with their homework or teaches them some difficult subjects at school. On the other hand, there is no denying the unshaken importance of parents’ role in children’s social growth and maturity. The thing is that children will be more vulnerable to misguided habits such as foul, abusive language, alcohol misuse, and smoking owing to parent’s carelessness and lack of advice. Notably, this situation will have a bad impact on children’s social awareness as well as their physical and mental development. For example, children are likely to learn many bad behaviors from toxic friends, which negatively affects their personality. Furthermore, immersing themselves in smoking and drinking alcohol will cause mental disorders and health problems. In addition, parents who are too engrossed with their work tend to have no time to share and communicate with their offspring. Consequently, it limits the communication and life skills of the descendants when they have no one to confide in. Hence, once children grow up, they have to deal with lots of difficulties in terms of soft skills and social manners. For further explanation, young children will find it hard to express their thoughts and opinions as well as tackle the problems in their daily lives. In conclusion, despite the undeniable upsides of the monetary aspect that working parents bring, I believe that parental fondness and assistance still have an integral role to play in offspring’s comprehensive upbringing. Children need a close bond and parental education rather than a materialistic life. Đề: In today’s competitive world, many families find it necessary for both parents to go out to work. Task 2: As machines have become more sophisticated, more and more jobs and tasks involving physical hard work can be done automatically. Do the positive effects of this trend outweigh the negative effects? There is a belief that the more sophisticated machines have improved, the more occupations and works can be completed in the automation. This essay will analyze this statement before performing my own perspective that its demerits of this trend may outweigh its benefits. To begin with, there are some obvious justifications to support the positive aspects of mechanized labor. Initially, when employing cutting-edge machinery while operating, faults resulting from humans may decrease. In fact, these intelligent tools can perform in the right sequence without having doubts or mistakes since they may be designed and programmed based on previously practical errors. Thereby, a host company might not have to spend time reviewing every step during advancement. Besides, most companies are able to cut the cost of workers, which relieves financial strain on employees. A good illustration is that one versatile machine can supersede two or three employees’ capacity simultaneously. This can be conducive to boosting productivity and saving money for other vital purposes. Despite the aforementioned explanations, I would contend that the drawbacks of this tendency can overshadow its opposite, owing to a few clarifications. Firstly, there will be a surge in the unemployment rate when a business is operated with automation. This could result in social stagnation and lower the living standard among residents. In other words, the industrial field might lack creativity by virtue of mechanical dependency. Secondly, these types of businesses need to charge a large sum of money for maintenance expenses. As machines are likely to break down owing to a few external factors, such as physical touch and weather, a host company is willing to invest and improve their quality monthly. This deed therefore leads to the postponement of task completion, delaying almost all of the production chain. To conclude, it is clear that the negative impacts of automation are more significant than their positive sides. Although this form of operation can reduce artificial errors while working and release the financial budget of an enterprise, it may spark the proliferation of joblessness and be a waste of money. Task 2: As machines have become more sophisticated, more and more jobs and tasks involving physical hard work can be done automatically. The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? The most crucial purpose of science should be to enhance individuals' lives. Personally, i totally disagree with this statement because there are also other vital objectives besides developing people's life. It is undeniable that developing quality of human's life is one of the objectives of science. In fact, conducting scientific research in terms of various fields could enable scientists to come up with the best ideas to apply in practical aspects, hence, improving people's life. For instance, scientists' research on the algriculture like investigating crops or new plantation methods would make it easier for farmers to increase the quality of their products, which could lead to the increase in their incomes and then enhance their life quality. However, there would be other targets which are as vital as people's lives. Firstly, scientists need to work in order to protect the environment. If they do research merely to satisy people's demands, they will be prone to damaging the nature. For example, new invention of pesticides which is able to be more convenient in farmers' life during their work, however, has a detrimental effect on the plants along with the surrounding atmosphere,. As a result, scientific research would contribute to environmental pollution. In addiction, conserving animals is also vitally important goal of science. Given that scientifists often make use of animals in their experiments to serve human beings' lives, which would make them suffer from side effects of drugs. Therefore, scientific research should be more humane to other species besides human. In conclusion, it is necessary for scientists to foster human's lives. However, protection of natural habitats and animals is also of importance as well. The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. Topic: Some people think that governments should ensure the healthy lifestyle of people, but others argue that it should be decided by individuals. Discuss both views and give your opinion Opinions are divided into whether the governments should bear the responsibility for regulating people’s behaviour to adopt healthy lifestyle or whether citizens should decide on how they should live their lives. While I acknowledge the logic behind the former view, I am strongly in favour of the latter. Those who believe that the governments play an important role in making citizens live wholesome lives may have some valid arguments. They may well argue that the states have the ultimate power to enact laws and regulations to protects people from consequences of unhealthy lifestyles. It is the case in many countries where minors ae prohibited from purchasing cigarettes and alcohol lest the young generation suffer from health effects of these subtances. In addition, the ministrations have adequate resources to foster healthy lifestyle among the citizens. For instance, they can allocate the national budgets to invest in public health facilities and campaigns which are likely to encourage individuals to adopt healthy manners. Nevertheless, I still firmly believe that people should be entitled to make their own life decisions for several reasons. Chief among these is that individuals should have the total freedom to make choices regarding their preferences, as it is a matter of personal autonomy. In fact, it would be unfair to demand people to comply with a certain lifestyle which is opposite to the one they long for. The second reason is that by determining their own lifestyles, people can enjoy their lives to the fullest. To be specific, they can free from the heightened levels of axiety and frustration which may caused by strict control of authoritative bodies in terms of many aspects of life. In conclusion, it is understandable that governmental involvement may help people to lead a healthy way of living. However, I think that citizens should be responsible for their own lives and decisions as it is important to preserve their human rights and quality of life. Đề bài: In many countries, people are now living longer than ever before. Some people say an ageing population creates problems for governments. Other people think there are benefits if society has more elderly people. To what extent do the advantages of having an ageing population outweigh the disadvantages? In various nations, individuals currently have a higher life expectancy in comparison with those living in the past. Although some consider that an ageing population may have some benefits, I believe its disadvantages for governments are more significant. It is undeniable that increasing the number of older people would be beneficial. Firstly, it can have a positive influence on career prospects. This means it can provide individuals with numerous employment opportunities, among which are doctors, nurses, caregivers, etc. Additionally, old people might possess a variety of knowledge and experience in various fields including education, volunteering, mentorship which can make a great contribution to society. For instance, younger generation can participate in various seminars so that they can listen to old professors sharing their wisdom, which can make it easier for them to be well-prepared for becoming adults in the future. However, I think that the disadvantages of ageing population can overshadow its advantages. First and foremost, it might be detrimental to the social development of nations since the governments may have to spend their national budget on building a greater number of facilities for old people such as: nursing houses, hospitals. As a result, governments will not be able to invest enough money in other aspects like military, education, entertainment, etc, which might have a negative impact on developing society. Besides, governments' financial situation would also be adversely affected, given that their investment in facilities to serve the elderly people might take a toll on their expenditure. For example, it might take billion dollars to construct hospitals when there are more people who have high life expectancy, hence, the governments might end up their spendings and their financial situation would get worse. In conclusion, while there could be several benefits of ageing population, I deem that its drawbacks which governments have to tackle surpass its advantages. Đề bài: Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views and give your opinion? Some individuals consider that pursuing a higher education after finishing high school is the best way for students to achieve a successful career path, while some others deem that entering the workforce immediately is a better choice. This essay will discuss both viewpoints before concluding I am in favor of the former. On the one hand, entering the workforce after graduation can be appealing for several reasons. The first one is that students might become independent by earning their own income, allowing them to establish a stable life. Additionally, starting work might enable students to broaden their practical experience which are beneficial to their occupation. That means students are able to aqquire practical skills such as: teamwork, communication, organization which might make it easy for them to climb the career ladder in the workplace On the other hand, I believe that continuing to study at university offers more benefits. Firstly, it can be advantageous for young people to achieve formal qualifications at university because academic qualifications are required in many professions. For example, it is impossible to become a doctor, teacher or lawyer without having a relevant degree. As a result, university graduates have access to more and better job opportunities, and they tend to earn higher salaries than those with fewer qualifications. Second, job market is becoming increasingly competitive. There are hundreds of applicants for one position in a company, hence, young people who do not have qualifications from a university or college may have more difficulties to compete. In conclusion, although some people think that students should get a job after high school graduation, I suppose that going to university is a better choice to be successful in their career. Some people regard video games as harmless fun, or even as a useful educational tool. Others, however, believe that video games are having an adverse effect on the people who play them. In your opinion, do the drawbacks of video games outweigh the benefits?
Các thầy cô chấm giúp em với ạ 🥹 It has been a bone of contention for years whether video games are recreational and educational or if they are imposing a detrimental impact on players. From my perspective, the former viewpoint, which maintains the positive sides of video gaming, is plausible for various justifications. Initially, it stands to reason that video games are beneficial to players. As they are designed for entertainment, video games act as effective stress relievers. After an industrious day working or studying, many people may opt to play on-screen games so as to unwind and relax. Moreover, video gaming offers and teaches gamers an array of intellectual and social skills that can be applied in practicality. They learn how to plan, analyse, strategise, organize, socialise or even work in teams in multiplayer and interactive games. With regard to the contrasting viewpoint, I admit that some may argue that video games, especially negatively designed ones such as violent games, are likely to change players’ personalities adversely. This is mainly because people who play this genre may often be seen to display aggressive behaviour and violent tendencies. However, I still firmly believe that there are numerous types of games available apart from such not-encouraged genres, for instance, solving puzzles, math or sports games. Additionally, the fact that some prefer to download violent games may possibly be pertinent to their social background, social groups and relationships with other people, which may appeal to them to choose such games. If players see fit to hone their logical thinking or intellectual mind, they will probably be more tempted by games involving tackling problems. In conclusion, as far as I am concerned, video games are advantageous as they relieve our stress as well as educate players in some respects. It is gamers who are responsible for choosing the appropriate types of games to experience, which may well facilitate video games to take their positive effects. Topic: The shortage of housing in big cities can cause severe consequences and only governmental actions can solve the problem. Do you agree or disagree? Housing shortage in metropolitan areas is a common issue we are facing currently. It is sometimes argued that only governments are able to tackle this problem. While I acknowledge the important role of the government intervention, I still hold the belief that it is not the only solution to the phenomenon as private sectors can also help to alleviate it. It is true that the governments have the authority to enact control the housing crisis by various measures. To begin with, they can reverse the trend of migrating from rural areas to the cities in search for better living standards, education, or healthcare systems, which has driven housing demand in the metropolitan areas. To be specific, they are capable of allocating national budget to improve the facilities and infrastructures in suburbs to cater people living in these areas, which may discorage them from moving to big cities. In addition, the government have an ultimate control over the real estate market which has significantly affected the housing scarcity. Seoul, the capital city of Korea, is a prime example of this, as the administration strictly restricts people from investing in the housing market. Nevertheless, I would argue that the inadequacy of housing can be solved by other private sectors. Firstly, companies can invest to establish their branches or factories in rural areas to provide local residents with more employment opportunitunities, thereby they can work at their hometown instead of moving to big cities and struggling to find a place to settle. Secondly, some economic institutions can facilitate those with low-income who find a house unaffordable. In fact, banks can help their customers get a friendly loan to buy a house, property companies could provide an easy scheme to pay for the houses. In conclusion, it is undeniable that the authorities’ part in dealing with the housing shortage is indisputable. However, I take the view that they are not the sole solution to the housing crisis since for-profit businesses would also be essential to tackle the issue. Topic: Freshwater is a limited resource in certain regions of the world. Today, the escalating demand has transformed it into a global problem. What are the causes of increasing demand? What measures can governments and individuals take to respond to the problem? It is true that freshwater shortage has posed a formidable challenge to certain countries in the world. Undoubtedly due to the heightened demand for freshwater, the scarcity of this valuable resource has become an alarming global issue. This essay will identify the underlying reasons behind this phenomenon and then offer some feasible solutions to tackle the situation. Regarding the reasons for the increasing requirement for fresh water, population explosion is perhaps the most contributing factor. It is only natural that the inflated global population means higher demand for freshwater, which is essential for individuals’ personal use, agricultural and industrial activities. Another reason is that rapid industrialization has also compounded the graveness of this issue. For instance, millions of cars are being produced every year to meet the growing need, and a startling amount of water is required during the process. Various measures, nevertheless, can be adopted by governments, organizations, and individuals to mitigate this issue. The first feasible approach is that educational institutions and authoritative bodies should increase individuals’ knowledge about water depletion issue. For instance, they should launch more campaigns to raise people’s awareness of the severe consequences of wasting water and the importance of conserving this valuable natural source, thereby encouraging them to refrain from performing activities that result in insufficient freshwater resources. Additionally, the government should enact infrastructures for the purification of seawater into salt-free water, which may help to meet the growing requirement for freshwater. In conclusion, the unstoppable growth in population and industrialization may be responsible for water scarcity. However, steps can be taken by the government and competent authorities to alleviate this situation. Topic: Freshwater is a limited resource in certain regions of the world. Đề: The most important consideration when choosing any career or job is having a high income. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It has been suggested that people should consider money as a priority when seeking jobs or pursuing their profession. Despite this, I disagree that high salary is a key factor above all other concerns. To begin with, I strongly believe that people need stimulation in their working lives in order to trigger their interest and a sense of reward. It is undeniable that having a favourite and passionate job will lead to a happier working life. Very few of us can go through the entire career staying in a position in an industry that we feel purely bored of. For further explanation, motivation and passion act as potent shields against workplace stress and burden, fostering a positive and enthusiastic approach to work. Secondly, pursuing our dream career not only stimulate our dedication and greater efforts, but it also helps us achieve exceptional outcomes and good salary. Take Cristiano Ronaldo for example, despite his rough childhood, he has showcased a special aptitude for football since he was a child. Thanks to his remarkable talent and relentless effort he has dedicated to football, he has become a global renowned football star. What is more, he also reached the pinnacle of his career at a very young age, pursuing his burning passion with huge income. Having said that, a large number of people have to put high-salary as their first priority when choosing a job owing to financial burden in their family, They tend to work like robots without enthusiasm and motivation. Furthermore, the stressful workload combined with family burden are likely to upset them unless they are devoted and enthusiastic about their profession. Undoubtedly, this situation will have a bad impact on their well-being, cause long-term mental disorders such as anxiety and depression. For instance, millions of people have to meet psychologists annually due to overwork. Seriously, lots of individuals also attempt to suicide as they are hopeless at their work and personal life despite having a well-paid job. Hence, prioritising money when selecting a profession is not a wise decision. To conclude, good salary is crucial to human’s lives, however, it should not be the number one concern above all. In spite of financial benefits, it is not worth spending all the life time enduring the tiredness and unhappiness at the workplace purely for money.
