Nowadays, some parents put a lot of pressure on their children. What is the reason for doing that? Is this a positive or negative development for the children? In recent years, the issue of many parents placing considerable pressure on their children has become a topic of growing concern among the public. This essay will delve into the underlying causes of this phenomenon and explore the negative consequences it may have for children. This problem results from several factors. One major cause of increased parental pressure is the desire for their children to succeed and secure a bright future. This could be explained by the fact that all parents always want to give the best things to their children by investing as much money as possible to build a solid knowledge foundation for them, like finding the most excellent tutor and forcing them to learn all day. Another important factor contributing to this is that children are the face's parents in the competitive status of current society. Children’s abilities are the weapon their parents use to gain respect and admiration from others. However, this trend has certain negative impacts. Firstly, excessive pressure is one of the main reasons that leads to physical and mental problems such as exhaustion, extreme stress, and depression. As a result, the rates of children committing suicide to escape pressures are higher than ever before. Secondly, it also causes children to lose themselves. In fact, children constantly worry about being scolded and try their best to satisfy their parents. Due to this, they cannot do something they like and pursue their own passion. In conclusion, parents putting pressure on children stems from some contributing factors, including the desire for children’s success, a bright future, and to win competitive status. This phenomenon also leads to undesirable problems for children, such as physical and mental risks, and losing themselves. Nowadays, some parents put a lot of pressure on their children. Question: These days, a great number of children prefer spending time on computer games rather than on sports. Why is it? Is it a positive or negative development? In the modern era, computer games become widespread among kids and teenagers as a type of entertainment. They long to spend a great amount of time to play instead of doing sports. This essay will explain the reasons and effects of this statement. Firstly, one obvious reason for playing computer games is to be relax after an exhausted day at school. Children usually opt to play video games to relieve stress and spend time for themselves. Computer games also give them the feeling of competitive without injuries as well as the satisfaction when they are the winner of the matches. Moreover, video games is a way to communicate with their friends around the world. Thanks to the development of technology, it is possible for children to connect with global friends and play together. Nevertheless, this problem leads to numerous impact, both positively and negatively. It is undeniable that computer games provide beneficial effects for children. For example, spending time to practice games helps them to sharpen the memory and enhance the problem-solving skill. By developing these soft skills, it might affect positively in their academic learning at school. However, if children rely on the video games too much, it will bring a detrimental impact on them. Focusing on the video games and the unrealistic world might cause their mental health, results in being careless to people around them and feel tired all the time. Unfortunately, children cannot be aware of how computer games can damage them, so it is hard for them to overcome it. In conclusion, children choose video games to entertain because of its effeciency and happiness when playing. I believe that teenagers can learn a lot of useful skills from the computer games if they know how to control the time they spend for it. Scientists and technology experts seem to be more valued by modern society than musicians and artists. To what extent do you agree or disagree. Some people hold a belief that logical masters are more essential than creative experts. Personally, while science analysis brings valuable benefits, it is also important to acknowledge the role of creative people in modern life. On the one hand, there are reasonable grounds to believe that analysts and cutting-edge experts can bring positive impacts on people’s lives. Firstly, scientists can identify new viruses, which helps control hidden diseases and reduce the risk of pandemics significantly. Secondly, high-tech experts can predict the future. For example, AI can easily forecast the daily weather, which helps individuals work and study optimally. These advantages can contribute to people’s overall lives. On the other hand, I am of the opinion that musicians and artists are great contributors to society. Research shows a link between music and mental health. For instance, ballad songs help listeners relax and reduce stress, while pop songs motivate them to be more energetic. Additionally, they are also beneficial to the connection of society. Creative activities help people broaden their relationships, which effectively boosts a healthy and friendly environment. In conclusion, while some may argue that science and technology fields are more valuable than creativity fields, I believe a more balanced perspective is needed, acknowledging the advantages of both sides. The given chart compares how much electricity was produced by sources in New Zealand and Germany in 1980 and 2010. Overall, there was an increase in the amount of electricity generated from both New Zealand and Germany. In addition, there was also a huge difference in the type of fuel used between the two countries. In 2010, there were 200 units in New Zealand, with the highest total units of sources being coal (150 units), increasing nearly threefold compared to the figure for 1998. Compared to 1980, the electricity generated from hydro sources increased from 30 units to 46 units, making it the second main source in New Zealand. By contrast, the year 2010 witnessed a significant decline in the amount of electricity generated from natural gas and petroleum, dropping dramatically from 30 and 11 units in 1980 to 2 and 2 units in 2010, respectively, the lowest level recorded. In Germany, there was an upward trend in the total units of sources of electricity generation, increasing to double in 2010, compared to 104 units in 1980. In 1980, coal and natural gas took up the same units, with 28 being the most important sources used for producing electricity, but after 30 years, although the quality of electricity generated using coal remained unchanged, the figure for natural gas considerably decreased to 2 units. Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future, such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
There are some people argued that university students should be given opportunities to choose whatever subjects they prefer to study. However, some others said that students need to be taught only with logical-related ones, such as science and technology to serve the future. In my opinion, I follow the former case. There are various reasons why some people think students should solely focus on academic subjects. To begin with, job opportunities related to science or technology is widely various, such as programmers or doctors, which are well-known for high salaries. This is because these jobs always meet essential needs of society including healthcare or tools and machines to serve people's lives and work. For example, in Japan, the need for travel by trains are dramatically high and the public maybe wish time travel can shorter to save time for others things, which is the motivation for train companies to put all effort into researching to create more modern trains to satisfy people. As can be seen, train companies require their employees to have good knowledge about technology and science to release faster trains. However, I believe that students can go for what subjects they love, not being forced to study logical-required ones. In fact, quite a few students in university have artistic talent, which will need for jobs related to art and entertainment. If those students cannot opt for subjects that is suitable with their talent but only academic subjects, it will be such a waste because they are not capable of getting a job due to not having enough skills and knowledge. It is clear that opportunities to get well-paid in artist jobs are higher currently because of the interest of people in collecting pictures or watching movies to release stress is increasing. Therefore students should give freedom to study what they need. In conclusion, it is reasonable for some to believe university education system should limit student to study some particular subjects, I believe they deserve to decide by themselves. There are some people argued that university students should be given opportunities to choose whatever subjects they prefer to study. PROMPT: Describe a person who often buys at the street market at a cheaper price. You should say: ● Who this person is ● What this person likes to buy ● Where this person likes to buy things And explain why this person likes cheap goods. EM TRẢ LỜI: When I was reading this question, I popped-up an image of my mom. She is actually an avid foodie and she has a big knack for cooking. Therefore, going to the market and looking for various ingredients such as fresh vegetables, red meat or dressings to make mouth-watering dishes is one of her interests. There is a local market which is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from our house and she regularly visits it to buy fresh produce She intends to purchase for inexpensive food for numerous reasons. Firstly, she is quite budget-conscious so she wanna save as much money as possible. It enables her to spend more finance on essential needs for example my tuition fees or the electricity bill. Secondly, she has a strong belief that not all pricey goods have high qualities so she would rather get the mid-range quality one than consume extravagantly. The final reason to talk about is the happiness she finds when visiting the market with affordable price. She told me that it provides her a valuable opportunity to interact with intriguing vendors and to perform her professional skill of haggling things. Topic: Today, TV channels provide more men's sport shows than women's sport shows. Why is that the case? Should TV channels give equal time for women's sport and men's sport? These days, the fact that a higher number of games played by men are broadcast, compared to that of women has been receiving a great deal of public attention. There could be several reasons for this, and it is plausible that more women sport. There are a number of reasons why shows of sportsmen have gained more airtime on TV than those of their female counterparts. It is undeniable that men’s sports have attracted larger audiences, so broadcasters must focus more on them to earn more profits. For example, football at the 30th SEA Games attracted millions of people from around Vietnam and other countries, while the figure for women’s matches was significantly lower. Then, men’s sports often receive more attention from advertising, sponsorship, and opportunities compared to women’s sports. This means that TV channels may prioritize broadcasting events that attract higher advertising revenue. However, I would advocate that, TV producers should give equal streaming time for male and female programs. Firstly, if TV channels give equal time and coverage to both women’s and men’s sports, it might increase the gender equality movement which is one of the most concerned issues in many parts of the world today. In fact, sporters, especially women, are equally welcome to express their talents and passion. Secondly, when women's sports are broadcast on TV channels, it will promote the sportsmanship of women and encourage those with the potential to embark on their sporting careers. As a result, both men and women are actively involved in sports to create a fair sports environment and a healthy society. In conclusion, despite more profits from men’s sports channels for TV producers, and I personally believe that it is essential to equally in the coverage of men’s and women’s sports. The increase in the pursuit of new job opportunities resulting from the migration of many people to different parts of the world these days is being argued more and more. Some people suggest that moving away from the birthplace could be a golden chance to find advancement in careers. In this essay, both the advantages and disadvantages of this above information will be discussed before my individual perspective provides which one outweighs. On the one hand, geographical alteration for professional pursuits creates a wider range of career opportunities that potentially exceed those available in one's local place. This can result in not only professional growth but also increased earning potential by the same token, enabling individuals to improve their standard of living and possibly contribute financially to the well-being of their families. One further benefit can be witnessed here is that participating in diverse cultural fields and traditional perspectives. This might be a necessary support in order to foster personal development by enlarging one's horizons and enriching their understanding of the world, providing significant chances for sharing points of view and communicating among different cultures. On the other hand, the prosperity and satisfaction of career enhancement cannot adequately compensate for the fundamental social and emotional costs involved. From a social angle, the physical separation from one's established environment, including family and friend relationships, disrupts the developing foundation of an individual in creating a comprehensive mature system. This interruption can lead to a string of isolation, loneliness, and emotional damage, ultimately hindering personal well-being. Furthermore, missing important life events and milestones of loved ones can be a very detrimental ground that damages one's emotions and worsens the sense of detachment with the familiar feeling, unfortunately occurring depression and anxiety. These mental problems may, in turn, affect their long-term professional success and fulfillment, thus defeating the original purpose of relocating. In conclusion, leaving family and friends in order to seek work opportunities in a different place can help people progress in their careers and grow as a person. Unfortunately, these positive effects obviously cannot outweigh the drawbacks that such a decision can bring to one's social and emotional life. The increase in the pursuit of new job opportunities resulting from the migration of many people to different parts of the world these days is being argued more and more. The plans below show a public when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
The pictures illustrate how Grange Park has been changed since 1920. Overall, amenities and facilities have been added and developed to accommodate musical performances, children, food and beverage needs, and parking. In 1920, amenities in the park were relatively limited. The park could be accessed via two entrances on Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street. The glasshouse was to the right of an entrance from Eldon Street, opposite which was a pond for water plants. Meanwhile, the fountain was in the central area, to the left of which was the stage for musicians. Seats and rose gardens were scattered throughout the park, except for the position of the glasshouse and the pond, and most of them were near the vicinity of the stage. Presently, the park has been upgraded significantly. The only elements that remain unchanged are the two entrances and the rose garden on Arnold Avenue near the stage, which has been modernised into an amphitheatre for concerts. Additionally, the fountain has been erected into a new rose garden surrounded by seats, and the rose garden next to the pond has been removed, allowing the addition of a café. Finally, the pond has been upgraded to a water feature and replaces the glasshouse, making space for a newly-built children’s playground, along with the construction of an underground car park.
