Some people suggest that the government should spend money putting more works of art like paintings and statues into towns and cities to make them attractive places To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is asserted that the government should invest the national budget in locating an increasing number of artworks like paintings and statues inside metropolises to make them appealing destinations. This essay will elaborate on several reasons why I completely agree with this notion. The foremost reason supporting my argument is that putting more works of art into towns and cities to attract visitors might be beneficial to the local people. More precisely, valuable works of art, such as pictures and statues could be appealing to various tourists who desire to have more insights into historical and architectural values of regions. As a result, tourism can provide local people with many employment opportunities like tourist guides, history presenters, etc, thus making a handsome profit, ultimately improving their quality of life. An additional reason in favor of my view is that this policy can be positive to national development. In fact, a great number of foreigners who are insterested in historical and architectural values are believed to visit the cities and towns, thereby increasing the overall revenue of national tourism. This is exemplified by the fact that Statue of Liberty, located in the center of New York city, has risen the USA’s revenue to over 100 million USD per year by attracting a range of visitors, thus contributing to national development. In conclusion, I advocate that allocating national expenditure in putting artworks inside cities and towns should be encouraged, given that this policy might supply occupations for local people and make a substantial contribution to the nation as well. Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? Several professors consider that students should be taught a second language at elementary school instead of secondary school. Although this inclination is believed to have certain negative aspects, I believe they are overshadowed by the positive counterparts. On the one hand, one of the major drawbacks of teaching language at primary school is that it would overtake children's leisure time. More precisely, extracurricular activities are believed to play a key role in developing children's social development at a young age. Therefore, learning an additional language would reduce their free time spent on social activities like sports, teamworking, thus isolating them from society. On the other hand, I argue that this drawback is outweighed by the benefits. Initially, early linguistic education might be beneficial to improvement of children's intelligence. More precisely, language is considered to be pivotal to stimulate both of human hemispheres, thereby equally enhancing logical thinking and creativity at an early stage. Furthermore, studying a language at elementary school might be beneficial to children's personalities. For instance, primary school students can become more sociable when studying English, given that language can make it easier for them to engage in conversation with foreigners, thereby having an advantageous impact on their personalities. In conclusion, although some experts advocate that students should learn a foreign language when entering secondary school for the sake of their free time on other extracurriculum activities, I support that learning a second language at primary school bring more benefits, as it is advantageous to children's brains and behaviors. Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? Sev... Standing at over 70 billion minutes in the initial year, the number of minutes spent on local - fixed line experienced a rapid increase, reaching a peak of exactly 90 billion minutes in 1999 prior to gradually declining to about 71 billion minutes in the final year. Regarding national and international - fixed line, the figure initially stood at approximately 37 billion minutes, followed by a stable rise to record its highest point of above 60 billion minutes after 7 years. Mobile phones followed a similar trend, but at a lower rate, standing at under 10 billion minutes in the first 4 years before rapidly growing, reaching its highest point of roughly 44 billion minutes by the end of the timeframe. Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children). To what extent do you agree or disagree? Several individuals assert that voluntary services, such as charity, improving neighborhood and teaching sports to younger children should be required in high school's curriculum. This essay will elaborate on several reasons why I completely agree with this notion. The foremost reason supporting my argument is that volunteering activities can be beneficial to developing students' soft skills and personalities. Initially, being volunteers might require cooperation in groups to complete the tasks. As a result, students can make it easier to engage in conversations with other members, thus enhancing their communication skills, teamwork skills, etc. Furthermore, some unpaid public services might be a great method for students to become more sympathetic. For instance, when working for a charity in orphanages, students are believed to understand the difficulty of parentless children, thereby kindling their sympathy, ultimately having a positive impact on their personalities. An additional reason in favor of my view is that performing voluntary service might be advantageous to students' healths. First and foremost, this trend can have a positive effect on physical health. Specifically, when teaching sports to younger children, they could spend a greater amount of time on taking part in physical activities, which can be an effective way to stay in shape. Moreover, several public services like improving the neighborhood can bring a multitude of opportunities for students to enjoy the fresh air and lift their mood after classes during school. For example, planting trees in surrounding areas would enable them to be friendly to nature, thereby improving their mental health. In conclusion, I advocate that unpaid community service should be a mandatory part of learning programs at high school for the sake of improving social skills and behaviors. Additionally, volunteering could enhance students' health both physically and mentally. As a part of their education, students should spend a period of time living in another country to learn its language and culture. To what extent do you agree or disagree? In this day and age, with the emergency of culture exchange, language is a bridge to tighten countries together. Some individuals suppose that the best approach to master a language is to live in this country for a certain time. From my point of view, I cannot entirely concur with this perspective in some instances. Undeniably, living in the country where you are learning language is a golden opportunity to enhance your life experience and linguistic ability. Compared to reading magazines or watching videos, by which learners can have chances to experience the culture and have daily conversation with indigenous people. These help students not only sharpen their influence, but also pick up a new vocabulary in various contexts. For instance, one of the most notorious Vietnamese youtuber - Chao, she used to admit that her English skills were boosted drastically as she lived with her New Zealand roommates during her studying abroad process. On the other hand, I still argue that spending time living in another nation to learn its language and culture has several drawbacks for everyone, especially people who are insufficient in living conditions. Going abroad requires learners to allocate a large amount of budget for flying tickets, accommodation costs, tuition fee,.. It is extravagant compared to the average standard of living in Vietnam, especially for students who live in isolated areas. Subsequently, language barriers and cultural shocks are unavoidable in the first time studying overseas. As a result, the process of absorbing a foreign language takes students a certain amount of time to familiarize themselves, and practice every day, irrespective of their language ability. After only a few months of trial and error, individuals who are persistent enough can overcome language difficulties and confidently pursue more knowledge of cultures and traditions. In conclusion, notwithstanding the disadvantages of learning language by moving to this country, I consider that this field play a pivotal role in our contemporary life As a part of their education, students should spend a period of time living in another country to learn its language and culture. Topic: More and more people today are drinking sugar-based drinks. What are the reasons for this? What are the solutions to make people drink less? Solve: It is true that many individuals and society have been drinking sugar-based drinks in recent years. This can be attributed to several factors, which call for possible solutions to be adopted. There are several explanations as to why a number of people have consumed sugar-based drinks in recent years. This is because some soft drink companies attempt to heavily promote their products in many ways, which can increase consumption of sugar-based drinks. Some companies adopt clever marketing strategies for their products. Consequently, consumers are increasingly exposed to their products and are more likely to buy them. By way of illustration, Pepsi collaborated with Black pink to release a new drink collection on the market, thereby attracting a lot of the group's fans to buy their products. Various measures, nevertheless, can be implemented to address these issues. The first possible solution is that parents should work with the school to minimize the use of sugar-based drinks in daily life. For instance, schools should have lessons and propaganda sessions about the evils of soft drinks on humans' health to warn their students, which can cause several issues such as obesity, diabetes, and dental problems. Thus, it can help youngsters understand the adverse effects of sugar-based drinks and have their drinks in moderation. Furthermore, this can help them minimize drinking too much soft drink and use another drink good for their health. In conclusion, while many reasons can be given to explain why many youngsters are drinking sugar-based drinks in recent years, steps can be taken to improve the situation. A person’s worth nowadays seems to be judged according to social status and material possessions. Old-fashioned values, such as honour, kindness and trust, no longer seem important. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? In contemporary society, social position and wealth are believed to play a pivotal role in evaluating an individual's value, while other human qualities including honor, kindness, and trust are considered to be insignificant and out of date. This essay will elaborate on several reasons why I completely disagree with this notion. The foremost reason supporting my argument is that social status and material possessions could not be the standard to assess a person's worth. In fact, it is undeniable that high position in the society and richness can make it easier to make an impression at first sight. However, the glamor would not have a long-term impact on the way an individuals' value is assessed in the future. For instance, although high-incomed people seem to be admirable in the beginning, it may be realized that their wealth is inherited rather than earned. Therefore, richness and high position might bear no relation in the evaluation of people's value. An additional reason in favor of my view is that other morals play an indispensable part in judging people. This means they can never be old-fashionable values. Although glamor might have an edge over other personalities in the short run, values like honor, kindness and trust can have a long-lasting effect. To illustrate, people who are kind, honorable and reliable can always be respected by their friends, family members regardless of their social status and their income, thus playing a key role in the judgement of individuals' worth. In conclusion, I argue that high position in society and material values may not considerably affect the way people's worth is judged because of their short-term effect. Furthermore, other valuable personaltities such as honor, reliability, and kindness always play a crucial role in assessing a person's value. Internet technology means people do not need to travel to foreign countries to understand how others live. What extent do you agree or disagree? opinions are divided upon whether the advancement of the internet makes it possible for people to learn about cultures and customs of foreign countries without actually traveling in real life. I believe that it cannot replace the experiences when we travel. Granted, one might argue that people can learn about every country in all corners of the world only via any electronic gadgets, because they can contain a lot of detailed and useful information about different lifestyles of many nations at their fingertip. For example, there are varying videos and blogs uploaded on youtube or facebook nowadays allowing people to share their experiences of life in other countries. However, what if those are sponsored? In fact, the internet may solely give people a limited amount of knowledge and contents on the internet can be easily used for commercial purposes. Therefore, It is quite hard for people to actually ensure that those contents are all true or not, unless they can genuinely confirm visually. To add further credence to my assertion, I note that traveling can bring a much more intriguing experience to people than watching those videos that are uploaded on the internet. By viewing all the scenery and experiencing directly how one native speaker actually lives and works, people can gain a deeper insight into their cultures and traditions, their hidden aspects that no one has known before. In addition, this knowledge that people gained on their journeys might last a lifetime, because they are the people who participated in and experienced those events. In conclusion, I totally disagree that the internet cannot equal to visual experiences. Instead it should be a valuable reference source for people before deciding to travel a foreign country.
