Some people say cultural traditions are destroyed when they are used as money-making attractions aimed at tourists. Others say this is the only way to save such traditions. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
In contemporary society, the popularity of tourism has led to a growing concern about cultural preservation. Opinions are divergent regarding the matter of whether cultural traditions will be ruined or supported if it is used to earn revenue. The aim of this essay is to investigate both viewpoints before giving my personal perspective on this issue. It is understandable why a number of individuals suggest that the development of tourism may jeopardise cultural traditions. A rationale behind this belief is that the activities of travellers are likely to pose a threat to the sites visited. Despite the endeavour to protect these cultural heritage sites, local authorities cannot take control over a great quantity of visitors. Furthermore, this trend can lead to the loss of cultural identity since cultural commercialisation usually ignores the pivotal values of culture. As a result, if culture is used as a tool to generate income, it will be attached little importance to a unique tradition, causing damage to the nature of culture. On the other hand, I would argue that tourism is one of the most optimal ways to protect a culture. First, tourism can help spread the culture on a global scale since countries have witnessed an astonishingly increasing number of tourists from abroad. Hence, it can encourage younger generations to dedicate themselves to activities, thereby preventing cultural traditions from fading into obscurity. For instance, in Vietnam, many skillful artists make an attempt to teach and pass down their skills to not only local residents but also foreign travellers, contributing significantly to the maintenance of cultural identity. Besides, revenue from the tourism sector can be allocated to repairing and upgrading facilities of cultural tourism sites, thus enhancing visitors’ experience. To clarify, unless Hoi An ancient town is used for tourism, it cannot earn enough money to reconstruct old buildings which keep invaluable things. In conclusion, although tourism may put the integrity of culture at risk, my firm conviction is that it can help preserve these traditional values from disappearing and improve awareness of upholding a culture In contemporary society, the popularity of tourism has led to a growing concern about cultural preservation. In many countries, the quality of life in large cities is becoming worse. What do you think are the causes of this problem? What measures could be taken to solve it? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. It is asserted that in many parts of the world, people are suffering from the lower standard of living in the metropolises. This essay attempts to bring the driven reasons to the light before enunciating several viable solutions. The overpopulation can be viewed as the prime reason for these problems, leading to environmental pollution. In fact, a huge amount of population can result in the overconsumption of fossil fuels, such as gas, coal and oil, which can have a deleterious effect on the surrounding habitats. To elaborate, a recent research shows that the air pollution rate is witnessed the record soar in 2024 compared to the previous years. Moreover, the unemployment rate arising from these issues starts to increase as the job markets can be exceedingly competitive by dint of the superabundance of the workforces. If fhere are myriad people, who cannot be able to seek for a paid occupation, they may engagae in social evils, particularly drug and prostitutions, making the entire society at the peril status. Therefore, the most feasible approach is to launch a worldwide family planning movement. This will help to restrict the population at a particular level, thereby alleviating the overall contamination by virtue of less consumption of powers and minerals. Another essential method is that the authorities ought, not only to allocate the national budget for the awareness campaigns which educate the inhabitants about the role of the environment, but also to expand the labour markets with the aim of higher employment proportion. For that reason, people can reach the environmental sustainability as well as curtail the delinquency tribulations. In brief, people living in urbanized areas worsen their living conditions due to the overcrowding bringing about more detrimental ecosystem and the increasing number of criminals. To perfectly address these concerns, the governmental organs have to practice birth control, organize the awareness campaigns and widen the professional opportunities for all individuals. In many countries, the quality of life in large cities is becoming worse. What do you think are the causes of this problem? What measures could be taken to solve it? Topic: It is said that the amount of violence on TV programmes has negative effects on our social development and therefore should be reduced. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? The assertion that televised violence negatively impacts social development is a point of significant contention. I firmly believe this influence is detrimental, necessitating a reduction in such content. The ensuing discussion will evaluate the psychological effects on viewers and the broader societal consequences. The psychological imprint of televised violence on individuals, particularly young viewers, is profound. Research by the American Psychological Association indicates that regular exposure to media violence heightens aggression by modelling inappropriate behaviours as acceptable in conflict resolution. For instance, children who frequently watch violent shows are more likely to exhibit aggressive tendencies and reduced empathy. These effects are not fleeting but have the potential to embed long-term behavioural patterns, disrupting emotional development and social interactions. Such findings underscore the need for stringent content regulation to safeguard mental health and promote positive social behaviours. On a societal level, the pervasiveness of violence on television cultivates a culture of fear and aggression. Sociological studies illustrate a correlation between high rates of media violence consumption and societal violence, suggesting that televised brutality not only reflects but potentially exacerbates societal issues. For example, media portrayals of violence can desensitize the population, making incidents of real-world violence seem less alarming and more acceptable. This normalization can hinder community cohesion and mutual respect, pivotal components of societal advancement. Therefore, reducing these broadcasts can contribute to a more harmonious and empathetic society, fostering environments that encourage peaceful coexistence rather than conflict. In conclusion, the adverse effects of televised violence on individual psychology and societal harmony substantiate the call for its reduction. By limiting exposure to such content, we can enhance both personal and community well-being. It is essential for media producers to prioritize societal health over sensationalism, aligning broadcasting practices with the principles of public good. Topic: It is said that the amount of violence on TV programmes has negative effects on our social development and therefore should be reduced. In the past, knowledge was stored in books. Today, we store knowledge on the internet. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
In modern society, there is a tendency for information to be stored online instead of being written or printed in books like they used to be. From my perspective, I think this the positive aspects of this outweighs the negative ones. It is certain that storing knowledge on the internet is more convenient for people to get access to. This can be seen from the way people can easily search for exactly right on information that they need through search engines, such as Google or Wikipedia, with a couple of clicks. However, this is not the case for books when people must spend a quite large amount of time to find necessary information. It is undeniable that there are various forms of information presentation on the internet. This development brings some benefits for people who find reading books is hard to absorb knowledge. Besides texts, there are combination of audio and illustration, which makes videos lively and attracts learner's attention better. Additionally, this way of learning is particularly suitable for children who tend to lose focus on reading books. In conclusion, I believe that online storing information is more beneficial than traditional way of storing, which is recorded in books. In modern society, there is a tendency for information to be stored online instead of being written or printed in books like they used to be. Đề bài Nowadays people use bicycles less as a form of transport. Why is that? What can we do to encourage people to use bicycles more? Bài làm It is true that the use of some vehicles such as bicycles is decreasing. This essay will discuss the reasons behind this phenomenon and then offer some feasible solutions to it. There are a number of factors responsible for the fact that people use bicycles less as a mode of transportation. Chief among these is that people with busy lifestyles prefer using convenient vehicles such as cars and motorbikes instead of inconvenient ones like bikes. In fact, they don’t have enough time to go to their workplaces because of the slow speed when using bicycles. Moreover, the demand for going to a lot of places, such as home, work places, schools, etc. , which requires indefatigable energy is also the main reason people deter from using bicycles. Another explanation is that the government does not concern itself with the improvement of streets used for bicycles, which leads to the lack of adequate infrastructure. An illustration for this is that some developing countries such as Laos, Viet Nam, etc., have lots of narrow roads, limited bike lanes, and inadequate cycling facilities, which can easily cause accidents with other vehicles like cars and motorbikes when people participate in traffic. As a result, this causes safety concerns among citizens that using bikes is not really secure. Various measures, nevertheless, can be adopted to tackle the situation. The first possible approach is that the government can encourage residents to use bikes by implementing policies that improve infrastructure and deduct taxes on buying bicycles. Consequently, people may consider cycling for transportation purposes. The second solution is that the government should launch education and awareness campaigns in order to introduce the advantages of using bicycles instead of using other transportations. For instance, cycling may minimize the risk of suffering from diabetes or obesity, it also provides residents with the opportunity with a healthier lifestyle. In conclusion, the fact that people tend to use convenient and fast means of transportation like cars, planes and motorbikes is increasing substantially and can stem from many causes. However, steps can be taken to ameliorate the situation. Đề bài Nowadays people use bicycles less as a form of transport. Why is that? What can we do to encourage people to use bicycles more? Nhờ thầy cô xem qua bài này giúp em ạ. Nowadays, sports is a big business with high earnings for professional sports people and companies involved both financially and in other ways. Is this a positive or negative development for sports?
In this day and age, it would be considered that the commercialization of sports has transformed it into a lucrative industry, benefiting both athletes and businesses involved. While this trend presents some merits such as motivating athletes and raising income for companies, it could also lead to fierce competition and unethical commercial practices. This development has both positive and negative impacts in equal measure which will be discussed in this essay. On the one hand, there are some advantages associated with this trend. Firstly, sports stars could perform at peak condition and focus more on pursuing their careers thanks to the huge budgets from sponsors. The financial incentives could help sportsmen to have a decent income to support themselves and have access to state-of-the-art facilities and healthcare services accommodating their rigorous training. Additionally, many enterprises can reap benefits from sports celebrity endorsements reinforcing their brand awareness and loyalty. In particular, by making a 10-million-dollar contract with Ronaldo, one of the most renowned footballers in the world, to be the brand’s ambassador, a sportswear giant named Nike has significantly increased its sales, surging its takings ten times higher than before. On the other hand, the emergence of sports financialization could be considered to be negative for several reasons. Firstly, high wages could lead to some athletes being tempted to cheat or engage in immoral behaviors. Placing excessive emphasis on financial gain could undermine sports players’s work ethic resulting in sports fraud and lack of sportsmanship. For example, some athletes have resorted to performance-enhancing drugs such as doping and anabolic steroids in order to boost their moods and enhance their physicality which could help them improve their chances of winning or secure profitable deals. In addition, this trend is exacerbated by the manipulation of betting companies helping increase their influx of income. Gambling companies could get involved in match-fixing and replace the final results of tournaments. If this course of action continues to thrive, a multitude of spectators could feel severely disappointed and even lose large amounts of money for making the wrong bet. In conclusion, the increase in the income of sports stars and involvement of entrepreneurs has some beneficial effects by fulfilling players’s financial and training needs as well as raising the company's profile, whereas it also brings concerns regarding an unwholesome competing environment and the proliferation of immoral betting companies. In this day and age, it would be considered that the commercialization of sports has transformed it into a lucrative industry, benefiting both athletes and businesses involved. These days, with the spread of innovative technology, children have changed the way they spend time on technology. While there are several potential disadvantages to this trend, but i believe that they are outweighed by the benefits that technology offers for younger people. On the one hand, there are many disadvantages that pose a risk to the mental and physical health of children who spend too much time on screen or use modern technology. Studies have shown that children spend much time playing video games and watching TV affects their daily routine, which makes them suffer from obesity and sleep disorders. Moreover, technology can affect mental health in the form of impaired cognitive development, behavioral issues, and poor social skills. This will reduce opportunities for young people to connect with the outside environment. On the other hand, technology plays a vital role in bringing about many advantages for these generations. Firstly, social platforms contain a vast amount of reputable information and knowledge about different subjects that people can be interested in, such as science, history, math,... Secondly, video games are always abundant resources that help people who can solve critical thinking and communication. Especially, modern apps such as Facebook and message and chat platforms have made it easier for children to stay connected with their friends and families. In conclusion, technologies nowadays have altered the routine of using mobile phones on children's free time and have negative impacts on them, but I also strongly believe that modern technologies will important element to develop skills and relationships of children. In the contemporary era, it has been witnessed a growing number of individuals communicate and with others and check for news daily. From my perspective, I support the idea that the remarkable benefits of this trend surpass its major drawbacks In the one hand, modern residents have the capacity to correspond with their relatives or acquire to the latest events as result of the enhancements in social network which have minimized the time-consuming issues of traditional methods. Dạ em chào các cô , mong thầy cô giúp em chấm chữa bài ạ In some countries, schools are teaching foreign languages for primary school children. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
In some countries , children are taught other languages apart from their mother tongue in an early age. Despite some obvious disadvantages of this trend , I would argue that these are outweighed by the advantages. On the one hand, there are two major drawbacks when foreign languages are taught at school. Firstly , adding another language apart from the mother tongue to the curriculum may be challenging and demanding for many children to meet. Children have to learn academic subjects like mathematics and science subjects that demand a lot of time and energy to understand and absorb complex formulas and complex theories and then apply them to complete their homework. Having another subject to learn and strive to excel in may cause the feelings of burnout and overwhelming , potentially leading to mental health issues such as depression and sleep disorders at a young age . Secondly , teaching foreign languages can lack competent language educators. To ensure the quality of education , teachers need to be trained and qualified with passion to deliver knowledge to children effectively. However , some schools in rural areas still find it difficult to address this problem. On the other hand, I believe that the benefits are more significant than such disadvantages. One reason for this view is that learning foreign languages early helps students gain future career opportunities. In our increasingly globalized world , language proficiency is a highly sought-after skill in the job market. Employers in fields such as international business , diplomacy and tourism often prioritize candidates with proficiency and fluency in conversational skill in order to support them to connect to customers from diverse backgrounds. Therefore , learning other languages except for the first language equips children with a solid foundation to be more competitive in today's job market , making them fulfilling in the career ladder and gain more lucrative earnings. Another reason is that learning another language stimulates brain development. To be specific , multilingualism requires learners to manage and exchange information between distinctive languages , making it an effective exercise brain in order for them to enhance multitasking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. For example, The countless research papers have proven students who have studied a foreign language perform much better than their monolingual peers on many standardized tests, including all sections of the SAT. Therefore, bilingualism boosts brain development, giving learners an advantage in core subjects like mathematics and science subjects. In conclusion , it seems to me that the advantages of this trend are more significant than the disadvantages. In some countries , children are taught other languages apart from their mother tongue in an early age. Despite some obvious disadvantages of this trend , I would argue that these are outweighed by th... Read more

Xin chấm ielts writing task 2 ạ
Globalization is creating a world of one culture and destroying national identity. To what extent do you agree with this statement? National identity is being destroyed and becoming a single culture by globalization. While I can see that many national cultures vanish because of globalization, I assume that this also helps many cultures to become better known. Globalization causes the destruction and disappearance of each country's own culture. This is because each country always has its own distinct language that contributes to the beauty and the richness of its national culture. If the world becomes globalized, all nations will speak the same languages. This leads to many people rarely speaking their own languages, which can vanish. Moreover, many cultural treasures and knowledge that our ancestors passed down to us through their own language will gradually fade. Therefore, globalization causes the loss of unique cultural practices, traditions, and knowledge that are often tied to specific languages. However, the process of globalization has the potential to enhance and enrich the cultural values of each country that are unique to each country. When globalization happens, this creates many opportunities for individuals to have more chances to experience and discover many other places. They not only admire the natural beauty, but also they have a chance to experience the special culture and characteristics of this country. As a result, globalization can help introduce many cultures to more people, ensuring that each country's unique culture and values will endure. In conclusion, because of globalization, many languages are vulnerable to disappearing and have lost their unique culture and traditions. However, this allows many people to have more chances to approach and discover unique cultures, which helps many cultures to not vanish. Globalization is creating a world of one culture and destroying national identity. To what extent do you agree with this statement? National identity is being destroyed and becoming a single cultur... Read more

WRITING TASK 1
Mong thầy cô chấm chữa và nhận xét giúp em bài writing task 1 này ạ. em cảm ơn nhiều ạ The given charts compare the total minutes spent daily on different forms of entertainment and household chores by men and women in the UK in the year 2008, measured by minutes. Overall, it is clear that males dedicated more daily time to leisure activities, while females generally spent more time on housework in 2008. Notably, both genders tended to watch TV, radio, video as well as do the cooking and washing the most. Looking first at the table, men took about 140 minutes per day to watch TV, radio, and video compared to 118 minutes spent by UK women. A much smaller amount of everyday time was dedicated to books, 18 minutes for males and 19 minutes for females respectively. Sports exercises were the least popular recreational activities, with the total time being 15 minutes for men and 11 minutes for women. Moving onto the bar chart, women in the UK devoted a considerable amount of time to cooking and washing, with nearly 80 minutes daily, far exceeding the figure for men, with about 35 minutes per day. Whilst females spent a relatively equal number of 35 minutes on shopping and clothing washing/ironing, the figures for men were noticeably different, at 10 and 22 minutes per day respectively. Repair was the household task that took up the least amount of daily time, only 20 minutes for men and 10 minutes for women.
