The bar graph shows the amount of Internet users in Greece, Denmark, Canada and the world average from 1998 to 2013. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the number of Internet users in Canada and Denmark were higher than in other countries throughout 15 years. In contrast, Greece had fewer users, which was close to the world average, but both gradually increased just as the other countries did. Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that the number of Internet users in Denmark increased roughly quadrupled within 15 years. In 1998, it had the second highest number of Internet users, but it had surpassed Canada by 2003. While growth after 2003 for Canada was slow, the nation's overall number of users ultimately expanded by more than threefold from 1998 to 2013. Besides, the Internet users in Greece had increased by 20000 people each 5 years. Although the world average climbed as well, moving from about 3000 users to 35000 users, the gap between it and the three countries included in the chart had widened at the end of the period in question. The chart illustrates the growing process of salmon, which is a species of large fish. Overall, this is a cycle process, including 3 stages, showing the whole life of salmons. Each stage is a period of its life. First of all, salmon eggs are born under some small stones and reeds, which are located in upper river with slow moving water, for approximately 5 to 6 months. After that, they become fry, with a length of 3 to 8 centimeters. Then they move to lower river with fast flowing water and live there. After around 4 years, they become smolt, which have a length of 12 to 15 centimeters. At this time, the smolt move to open sea and live there in the next 5 years before becoming adult salmon with a length of 70 to 76 centimeters. Eventually, they come back to upper river and give birth to salmon eggs, and the cycle will continue with the new generation. Large companies use sports events to promote their products. Some people think this has a negative impact on sports. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Large corporations sponsoring major sporting events are a ubiquitous sight. Some people argue that commercialization negatively affects sports. From my perspective, I am opposed to this statement. The first reason why I think using sports events for advertising does not affect sports badly is that this can provide financial significant resources that enable sports events to thrive. Hosting events can incur a huge amount of expense, so they may not have the possibility of paying for it without funds from large corporations. The sponsors can cover the planning costs, enhance training facilities, and provide catering services. Additionally, sports events are more accessible to people due to sponsorships. Big corporations desire their products to reach as many audiences as possible, so the ticket price of the events will not be overpriced or they could be free. As a result, more spectators from even low-income classes can come to the events and see their advertisements. Another reason is that many sportsmen can gain a better standard of living because of sponsorship. This is mainly due to the fans of sports who tend to purchase the products that are used or advertised by their favorite sportsmen. Consequently, the more products are sold, the more wages the sponsors pay for athletes. For instance, Ronaldo's income comes from not only participating in football matches but also promoting products for brands. To sum up, I totally disagree that promoting products through sports events has an undesirable impact on sports because this provides funds for sports events and financially supports athletes. Large companies use sports events to promote their products. Some people think this has a negative impact on sports. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The maps illustrate some changes to the school location over a period of 20 years. Overall, the school site has experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable differences between the two maps are the relocation of the sports field and the construction of new facilities. As can be seen from the maps, the school site in the west has remained unchanged from 2004 to 2024. However, the school location in the north has changed significantly. The school building 1 is combined to the school building 2. It is also noticeable that a new school building 3 is built because of the increase in the number of students (from 600 students to 1000 students). Moreover, the path is shortened to connect three school buildings Turning to other features, we can see that the west of the school site has still existed. The sports field is moved to the east to make space for school building 3 where the car park 2 is located beside. The maps illustrate some changes to the school location over a period of 20 years. In many countries today, if people want to find work, they have to move away from their families and friends. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages Today, in many countries, if you want to pursue job opportunities that can be equivalent to leaving familiar environments behind. From my perspective, the benefits of this trend surpass its drawbacks. On the one hand, one school of thought argues that the inclination to move away from families and friends to find work may indeed have several disadvantages. The first one is the potential for increased feelings of loneliness and isolation during the initial period of adjustment in a novel environment, especially for individuals accustomed to the support and companionship of their families and friends. They may also struggle to cope with the pressures of a new life and the transition to independence. Furthermore, the lack of social networks can elevate stress and anxiety levels, as separating from close relationships and support systems can make it difficult to seek help during challenging times, contributing to detrimental effects on mental well-being and work performance. On the other hand, the positive impacts are much greater. The primary reason behind this thinking is that it paves the way for personal growth, self-reliance, and honing essential life skills crucial for working success, as individuals overcome daily adversities without immediate assistance from family members and friends. This experience also cultivates resilience and adaptability, which positively correlate with healthier personal and professional spheres. Moreover, individuals can broaden their horizons by immersing themselves in diverse cultures, which not only enhances their insight into the world but also expands their social circle with people from different backgrounds. This holds immense promise for a more open-minded perspective and ultimately leads to a more satisfying working life. In conclusion, I believe that the advantages of distancing oneself from support networks for work outweigh the disadvantages. Although this trend can evoke feelings of isolation and loneliness, it presents valuable opportunities for people to broaden their horizons and nurture their personal and professional development. In many countries today, if people want to find work, they have to move away from their families and friends. Đề bài: Nowadays some consumers are less influenced by advertising than in the past. What are the reasons? Is it a positive or negative development? Answer: In the contemporary world, there has been much controversy about whether the influences of advertising on audiences are less apparent than in the past brings more benefits or drawbacks. From my perspective, this trend can be seen as beneficial due to various reasons. One the one hand, it is understandable why some people think that this situation brings about some downsides. To begin with, there are some factors contributing to this. Chief among these is that people are becoming more accustomed to different types of advertisements. This is because, advertising has gained traction in recent years, from billboards along the streets or in front of large supermarkets to varying types of commercials on TV as well as on social media. If people caught novel things on these flatforms at the first sight, they might find it attractive and want to purchase these products, but after watching ads so many times they might find it boring and uninteresting. Furthermore, the standard of living of people in many countries have improved substantially so that people have adequate necessities for entertaining, cooking, eating. As a result, they don't have any appeal for these items. In my opinion, people becoming less affected by advertisements can be deemed positive due to its role to gain financial advantage. This is because in the past, when considering which products to purchase, consumers usually based on their attractiveness presenting on TV, so they could make impulsive buying decision. However, people in today world are more careful about the products they are searching for, not be easily convinced by vivid visualization presenting on commercials, they can find reviews of items that previous buyers left on many online flatforms. Therefore, they can make more appropriate choices of purchasing goods. As a result, people have the opportunity to spend their money more wisely and not squander on unnecessary items. With the influences of commercials on people being reduced, the mistakes of buying unsuitable products or services could be avoided. by In conclusion, the tendency toward consumers being less swayed by advertisement is due to its repetition over time and the improvement on people's living standard. From my perspective, this trend is particularly valuable for consumers in terms of financial spending and saving. Đề bài: Nowadays some consumers are less influenced by advertising than in the past. Some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. Discuss both these views and give your opinion. Opinions are divided on whether competition or cooperation in different environments, such as in the workplace, at school, and in daily contexts is beneficial. This essay argues that both viewpoints are valid but supports the former. Granted, advocates of collaboration often highly value a sense of unity that it provides. Indubitably, an increase in collaboration typically fosters stronger relationships, leading to societal cohesion. Vietnamese people have had strong bonds for decades due to their .regular practice of reciprocity Without this practice, a sense of solidarity would not been sustained among Vietnamese communities as it is today. Conversely, competitive behaviors in professional, educational, and in daily context is incontrovertibly promising. Regarding the working environment and academic setting, competing against each other can acts as a catalyst for developing motivations and aspirations. These mental factors can lead to increased productivity and learning outcomes. This is usually the case with everyday context. For example, Vietnam’s launch of competitive initiatives related to environmental protection have inspired numerous citizens to strive for excellence and has gained notable successes. Another overriding virtue is that challenges can help push personal boundaries or even reach new heights of achievements. This is the advantage that is virtually absent from the practice of mutual altrutism. In conclusion, while the notion of collaborative efforts in profession, education and daily life seems reasonable due to its potential creation of cohesive communities, I am of the opinion that facilitating competitive conditions can emerge as a wiser approach to maintain sustainable growth. Some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. Relying on the advancement of technology, the original approach to the information such as printed book or newspaper will be feasibly replaced by the online method in the future. Furthermore, this drastic change may be triggered by the benefits of the online technique, respectively the flexibility and human health. Therefore, this essay will elaborate further on both points and state my perspective. Initially, the flexibility is one of the major reasons promoting this alteration. This is because the requirement to read online news via the digital devices is to connect with the 4g or 5g. Consequently, individual can access to these websites versatilely in anytime and places. For instance, it is extremely common in some Western countries to catch up someone sitting on the train and reading the latest news on their phone simultaneously. Thus, it seems as one of the main factors leading to this change. Likewise, the another potential cause for this transformation is to preserve human health. The conversion into online reach possibly reduces the amount of tree which has been cut in the quest of manufacturing paper and other harmful chemicals. As the result, the trees can not only prolong their lives but also filter the excessive proportion of dust in the atmosphere, resulting in restraining numerous diseases associated with the respiratory tract. Indeed, I definitely support this stance. In conclusion, less people may choose original way instead of online site because of the flexibility and individual health's protection in the following years. Additionally, I fully agree with this statement. some people think that people who choose a job early and keep doing it are more likely to get a satisfying career life than those who frequently change jobs. To what extent do you agree or diíagree The debate surrounding whether pursuing an early and single career path compared to changing jobs frequently can yield many satisfying aspects of working life continues to be a topic of contention. From my perspective, I believe that job hoppers may enjoy multiple advantages in their careers. On the one hand, one school of thought holds that the trend of workers remaining loyal to one position may indeed present several advantages. The primary reason behind this thinking is that they can go to great lengths to develop specialized knowledge and expertise within their chosen field, which may hold immense promise for achieving a generous salary package, good promotion prospects, and a greater sense of job satisfaction. Additionally, remaining in a single job for an extended period can provide stability, and consistency, and restore employers' faith, which is equated with receiving promotions and achieving fulfillment in one's career. On the other hand, those who jump jobs from time to time can cultivate multiple benefits. Perhaps the foremost rationale would be that this is an opportunity for them to explore personal strengths, roles, and favorable work environments, especially for newly graduated students who can gain diverse experiences and skill sets, making them more valuable and marketable to recruiters. Moreover, changing jobs frequently can help individuals enhance adaptability and versatility, which are essential skills and of paramount importance in today's rapidly changing job market and the trend of employee layoffs, forcing them to accommodate different workplaces. In conclusion, how one person gains satisfaction from their career may be different from another. I believe that job hoppers have the potential to lead to a fulfilling work life, especially for young people who do not have enough working experience, as they can broaden their horizons and gain a holistic insight into different domains. Therefore, ultimately finding an appropriate job and salary increment can act as a catalyst for a healthier balance in personal and professional spheres some people think that people who choose a job early and keep doing it are more likely to get a satisfying career life than those who frequently change jobs. Topic: The charts give information about employment in the UK in 1998 and 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The given pie charts illustrate how UK employment changed between 1998 and 2012. Overall, it can be seen that over a fourteen-year period, the number of people joining the UK job market increased considerably. Moreover, while the proportion of male employees in this country witnessed a gradual decrease, the figure for female workers observed an upward trend. During the surveyed time frame, there was a moderate fall in the total value of UK men workers by 5%, caused mainly by the drop in full-time employees, from 53% in 1998 to 47% in 2012, though it still accounted for around half of the UK labor force. However, the opposite was true for males working part-time, as the percentage of this group leveled up by only 1%. In comparison, although there was a slight reduction in the ratio of women getting a part-time job by 2%, the size of the full-time group of this sex leaped between 19% and 26% over fourteen years, leading to a growth in the total value of females engaging in the UK labor force. Noticeably, four groups in the UK underwent an improvement in total worker numbers, from nearly 24,000,000 to more than 29,000,000 in the year 2012.
