ĐỀ BÀI: Some people get into debt by buying things they don't need and can't afford. What are the reasons for this behaviour? What action can be taken to prevent people from having this problem? ANSWER: It is a fact that many people are becoming consumptive and materialistic because of their expensive things that they do not really need and cannot afford, therefore, getting into debt is quite popular among such people. There are various reasons that have caused this situation and in this essay, I will discuss them and give some measures that can prevent people from having this behavior. The first reason why many people are facing debt is due to consumptive lifestyles. With the development of social media such as Facebook, Instagram...more people want to show off their lives with luxurious things they have in society and the purpose of this is attracting many followers or fans. Many individuals are acceptable to get into debt to buy luxurious, costly items to show off themselves. That is quite a popular condition nowadays. Moreover, with the significant growth in the number of prestige and quality malls that attract people to spend much money on exorbitant things like clothes, jewelry which may not be necessary and even many people cannot buy it because of the costly prices but they regardless buy it with the desire to possess. As a result, many individuals are facing up with huge debt. There are some methods to prevent this problem. Firstly, people need to have a solid awareness of spending on things that are unnecessary or beyond their purchase. It must be ensured that the credit limit that is given to credit card holders is aligned with the individual’s income to spend money effectively. Instead of developing many luxurious malls, the government should focus on opening public parks or playgrounds to entertain. In conclusion, the development of social media and luxurious malls are the factors that make many people get into debt. The government should give more alternative solutions that prevent this problem. ĐỀ BÀI: Some people get into debt by buying things they don't need and can't afford. Some organisations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Other value quality of work above appearance. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions. (BAI LAM) In this contemporary epoch, there is an increasing viewpoint that workers should put on suitable clothes, while some people considered other work characteristics are more vital. I will discuss both view in this essay and give my own perspective. To begin with, some organizations advocate for dressing smartly because they believe that it would enhance their brand images which easy to access more and more stakeholders. For instance, Grab - a famous application in Vietnam providing vehicle-sharing system for users, which required their drivers put on green jackets with a particular logo so that their customers can identify them immediately. Furthermore, employees should wear well-defined dress code since it can create a sense of uniformity and discipline within the workplace such as Vietnamese teachers are expected to wear Ao Dai (a traditional female cloth) when they go to school. On the other hand, above appearance, many skills or knowledge relating to work features are still vital parts to assess the values of employees. Moreover, the freedom of attire choices can assist personnels become more creative and versatile because it may create a relaxed and comfortable work place. However, this may have some drawbacks, particularly in terms of the organization's public image and professionalism. In conclusion, while the quality of work is undoubtedly crucial, the way employees present themselves should not be disregarded. A smart and professional appearance can convey a sense of responsibility, competence, and commitment to clients and colleagues. Therefore, I believe that organizations should strike a balance between allowing employees some flexibility in their attire as also maintaining certain dress code standards that are suitable for the company's image and values. Some people think that the increasing of computers and mobile phones for communication had a negative effect on young people's reading and writing skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Some people believe that the widespread use of digital devices such as smartphones and computers for communication have adverse impacts on people's literacy skills. Although electronic communication has some advantages, I firmly agree with this statement because this trend brings more harm than good. Granted, one might argue that there are some notable merits of using digital devices for communication. First of all, the availability of mobile phones or computers with the Internet connection can help people stay in touch with others from the comfort of their home. In fact, these devices are linked with messages and textings, which are modern forms of writing. Therefore, individuals can enhance their literacy by regularly with their messaging, texting, and emailing. Furthermore, thanks to technological advances, people can access a vast variety of reading materials, particularly on social media or reading websites by using their private phones or computers. As a result, they can access electronic books, news and magazines in order to broaden their knowledge and improve their reading skills as well. Nevertheless, I believe that the increasing use of these devices for communication leads to detrimental effects on an individual's literacy ability. First and foremost, young people tend to read short and informal texts since the growing popularity of social media. In fact, there is a lot of unofficial or inaccurate information through the Internet, which creates a challenge for young individuals to intelligently select the value data to read. As a result, they may come across and read false information, thereby affecting their reading ability. In addition, using technological devices deters people from realizing their mistakes. This is because, when writing words or paragraphs on computers or mobile phones, there is a tool to check and correct the spelling and grammatical mistakes automatically. Consequently, if electronic devices are not accessible, individuals are ill-equipped to write manually and grammatically. In conclusion, although there are some benefits of using mobile phones and computers for communication, such a development has resulted in the growth of communication misunderstandings and hindered the development of formal writing proficiency in young individuals. Some people think that the increasing of computers and mobile phones for communication had a negative effect on young people's reading and writing skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The table compares changes in the popularity of religious and civil marriages, and the mean marriage age between men and women in Australia between 1960 and 2000. Overall, there were increases in the number of marriages in both types, with that of religion being more common for most of the period, while this was true for civil marriages in the last years. Additionally, both genders got married at a later age over the given time frame. Regarding the two marriage categories, in 1960, there were 25,000 marriages based on religion, tripling the figure for the civil ones, at only 8,000. Over the next 20 years, this disparity remained relatively unchanged, with the former surging and peaking at 50,000, compared to 16,000 of the latter. However, after two decades, the number of religious marriages was surpassed by that of civil, with respective figures being 34,000 and 40,000 in 2000. Concerning the average age at the time of marriage, initially, women typically got married at 24 years old, 3 years old sooner than their male counterparts (21 years old). Subsequently, an incline of 1 to 3 years per decade was seen towards the final year of the period, with women and men doing so at 30 and 32 years old, respectively. The most important function of music is that it helps people reduce stress. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The music's influence on human psychology, especially in reducing pressure has become a controversial topic. Some people believe that taming stress is the most important purpose of music, while others oppose it. From my perspective, I entirely agree with this statement for several reasons. On the one hand, I would argue that music is one of the most essential methods of relieving stress, and it can be used not only for relaxing but also for other purposes. For example, many individuals listen to music and dance on more dynamic platforms such as EDM or rock music. Other people resort to music to boost their souls through some difficult emotional times, such as after the death of a close relative or a divorce. These cases can happen since in human biology, if people listen to music, they can kick their brains and create serotonin, a hormone that can make humans happier, For example, in hypnotherapist practice, before the doctor suggests to a patient, they use music to help people relax and make the therapy more effective and influential. Consequently, it is evident that music could assist a person to control their emotion. On the other hand, music could stimulate our intelligence and fix the brain's damage. Music become one of the methods used in making the attention of some kinds of people, such as students or workers, who need to completely focus on their assignments. For example, people in school age often listen to music when learning or doing homework, so that it can keep their minds more awake and make them pay attention to the learning exercises. To sum up, I completely believe that humans can reduce stress and become more excited by listening to music. The most important function of music is that it helps people reduce stress. Buying things on the Internet such as books, air tickets and groceries is becoming more and more popular. Do the advantages of shopping in this way outweigh the disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience. (BAI LAM) In this contemporary epoch, there is a phenomenon that people tend to purchase things throughout platforms on the internet. This essay will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this trend, and I believe that the merits overshadow the demerits. There are some reasons to advocate for this type of shopping such as time saving or cost-effectiveness. These days, people often live in hectic and modern lifestyles so traditional stores may not be appropriate for them. Additionally, due to the development of technology, most individuals posses a smartphone or laptop which act as a catalyst for scrolling on the internet to buy commodities. It is convenient when users can stay at home and order deliveries which are shipped in-person without reaching the traditional shops. Furthermore, they are able to compare the costs between different shops to easy to make the most suitable decision. For example, Shopee is an online shopping platform which gains popularity in Vietnam since it provides the variety of goods and coupons for deliveries and packages. On the other hand, when purchasing things on the internet is more and more common, some owners of traditional stores may be on the edge of bankruptcy because their guests can find similar products at the lower cost. In addition, sometimes, online buyers would not have chances to check the items before receiving, so they may buy the fake or dissimilar products. For some essential goods including cosmetics or medicines, if people buy the counterfeit ones, it could pose a threat to their skin or even their health. In conclusion, although there are several demerits of online shopping including an increasing unemployment rate or counterfeit products, I consider the merits still outweigh because of its time saving, cost-effectiveness, and modern individuals' adaption . Buying things on the Internet such as books, air tickets and groceries is becoming more and more popular. Do the advantages of shopping in this way outweigh the disadvantages? The maps illustrate the layout of a school site in 2004 and its proposed changes over the next 20 years. Overall, the area is projected to undergo several changes, the most prominent of which is the addition of a school building and a car park at the expense of the green space, catering for an increase in the number of students. In 2004, the school had 600 students. In the west of the school site, there was a roadway leading northwards to a car park and a main entrance. The main entrance was connected by a path to a sports field, while on either side of the path were two school buildings. Meanwhile, a large part of the south and east of the site was occupied by forest. In 2024, some changes are predicted to be made regarding education and transportation facilities, allowing 400 more students to be added. Specifically, the sports field will be relocated to the east of the school site, making space for a third school building to be built, along with the construction of a second car park next to it at the cost of the forest. Moreover, all three school buildings will be accessible via the path. However, the existing car park, the main entrance, and the forest in the south are anticipated to remain unchanged. Despite this, both Greece and Turkey saw the highest share of self-employed labourers among the five countries, with the latter dominating over the two years, whereas that of the Russian Republic remained the lowest. Regarding Greece and Turkey, around 55% of Turkish workers were self-employed in 1998, about 15% higher than Greece’s share. In 2000, although the two countries saw decreases in the rate of the self-employed, that of Turkey was still higher than that of Greece, with just below 40% and roughly 35%, respectively. In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? It is believed that the ubiquitous online newspapers will diminish the use of printed newspapers and books in the future as their accessibility is free for each individual. From my point of view, I completely agree with such a statement since digital sources of information have already gained social endorsement in this recent era. On the one hand, the development of online newspapers has begeted a downward trend in the use of printed newspapers and books. Due to recent technological advancements, digital sources of information have unfolded the possibility of uploading videos and voice records, enabling individuals to have thorough insights into posted news. For example, soccer fans can rewatch their favorite matches with portable devices like laptops, which a paper cannot do. Although pops-up ads might appear on the screen afterward, it is a reasonable price to access these online websites. On the other hand, the rising cost of paper-based news lies at the core of why people would replace it with the digital one. In order to release a new issue for traditional newspapers or publish a new book, the expenses, including printing costs or staff wages, are inevitable for every editorial office, which has to shoulder solely its budget. Such a situation would lead to the perpetual escalation of newspaper and book purchasing prices since most newsrooms would need an adequate charge for that sense of financial balance. As a result, readers not tempted by the touchable features of traditional news sources tend to prioritize costless digital platforms, lessening their spending on a large scale. In conclusion, I believe the free access and the experience that digital newspapers offer have made them become the imminent replacement for traditional ones and books. In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. At first glance,it's clear that the majority always live in the cities, despite borders or the shift of time. however, the numbers in the remaining two bars fluctuate by both countries and time. in 1995,both charts share the same trend. which is, the cities population equal to the number of town and rural area all combine. But, whereas the numbers of population for people born in australia living in town and rural areas are slightly different, those of people born elsewhere are totally not the same. in detail, the number from rural bar may triple its counterpart. in 2010, people around the world seem to have a tendancy to move to cities, resulting to sheer drecreasing in population in towns and rural areas. the total number of people living in city whose born in and out of Australian depicted in both charts are so out-numbered that the numbers from rural areas and towns are likely to be neglected, none of the four bar comprise up to twenty units. survey conducted on people born in australia seems to be less severe than that of people born outside Australia. two bar charts below represent the percentage and its changing between 1995 and 2010 of population living in urban, rural and town according to their birth place, specifically Australian or elsewhere....
