Question: Many employers find that their new employees lack sufficient interpersonal skills such as lack of ability to work with colleagues as a team. What are the causes? Can you suggest some possible solutions? It is true that many companies complain about the insufficient fundamental skills of their new staff, such as teamwork. This essay will first outline some underlying roots before suggest some feasible solutions to mitigate this issue. There are two primary reasons why the employees don’t equip enough interpersonal skills before commencing new jobs. One reason is that most students completely focus on academic subjects and neglect to engage in extracurricular activities when they are undergraduate. For instance, many students aim to get impressive grades to gain scholarships rather than spending time on attending clubs. Furthermore, the advance in technology is a serious problem, leading to sedentary lifestyle and lack of social interaction. Thanks to the appearance of social networking, people tend to absorb information and chat with others online instead of directly communicating, thus their interpersonal skills are limited. Fortunately, several measures could be taken to prevent this problem. Firstly, the universities should enhance organizing clubs and volunteer activities, then encourage students to participate in these programs. Therefore, participants have the opportunity to improve their skills as well as expand their relationships. Secondly, national and local authorities could implement healthy lifestyles campaigns to help people realise the importance of real interaction, along with the consequences of overusing technology. Finally, companies should pay attention to the training course, so that their staff could ensure the work requirement and build their company bond. In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons for the lack of soft skills of new employees, and steps need to be taken to tackle this problem. Question: Many employers find that their new employees lack sufficient interpersonal skills such as lack of ability to work with colleagues as a team. What are the causes? Đề: As well as making money, businesses also have social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or disgree? Today, some claim that businesses should do more for society than simply make money. I completely agree with this idea. On the one hand, I acknowledge that the primary purpose of any company is making a profit in order to survive in a competitive world. It seems logical that the priority of businesses engaged in a free market should be to cover its running costs, such as employees' wages and payments office space, utilities. Moreover, companies always need to invest in innovation and improvement if they want to remain successful. In other words, a company can only make social contribution if it is in good financial health. On the other hand, businesses should not completely focus on make money, they should do more for society. A social obligation that managers and ownes are to treat their employees well rather than exploiting them. For instance, companies can pay a " living wage" to ensure that all workers have good quality of life. Furthermore, they should use a proportion of their profits to support local charities or environmental projects. In conclusion, I believe that companies should make social contribution within their sphere of influence although making money is the top primary for businesses. Đề: It is more important to spend public money on promoting a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent illness than to spend it on treatment of people who are already ill. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Bài làm: It is argued that national budget should be allocated for encouraging a healthy lifestyle instead of spending money on treatment of individuals who are already suffering from diseases. I utterly agree with this statement, given that there are some incurable diseases and long-term cost savings. The major reason that I approve is that people can avoid many incurable health problems. In fact, there are many incurable diseases, such as HIV and AIDS, which is why the best solution is this case is obviously trying to prevent them. For instance, the WHO has successfully provided locals with essential health information related to nutrition, along with cardiovascular benefits of regular exercise in Vietnam. Therefore, the number of Vietnamese people who adopt healthy diets preventive measures against diseases is on the rise, the rate of citizens hospitalizing has significantly declined in recent years. A further justification that I agree is that prevention is an effective way to save national budget. In reality, people have to spend a large amount of money to cure serious illnesses, such as cancer, which is why preventing illnesses can save on the extensive costs of treatment. This is exemplified by the fact that the total sum of medical treatment process can total over 50,000 USD in Vietnam. As a result, many nations can reduce a large amount of money for constructing hospitals and clinics and allocate a great proportion for other essential sectors, such as education. In summary, I completely agree that spending money on promoting a healthy lifestyle. This is because it can help people alleviate the potential of deadly illnesses and national budget. It seems to me that parents had better encourage their offspring engage in outdoor activities, such as walking and cycling, instead of playing games with the aim of improving children’s physical fitness. Đề: The personal information of many individuals is held by large internet companies and organizations. Do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? Bài làm: In this day and age, most of large-sized enterprises and organizations, namely Facebook and Google, are possessing a large amount of private date among internet users. I believe that the benefits, such as providing convenience in purchasing and creating helpful services outweigh the drawback, including creating the misunderstandings among citizens. There are two major advantages of personal information held by companies. First of all, internet users can be received the better experience. Facebook, for example, has tracked the activities of users on the Internet and then use this information in order to propose some advertisements which relate to the objects they are looking for. Additionally, the information is utilized to provide helpful services for consumers. Google Map, for instance, is a social media platform that is used by the millions of citizens all over the worlds which help them orient location they are standing and the road they are finding. Therefore, it is predicted that more and more social networking sites and applications will be created with the aim of making the people’s lives more convenient. Despite this, this phenomenon will bring about the misuse of big date which has begun already and will become more worse in the future. In reality, the advertisements which are proposed to individuals are not always harmless. This is exemplified by the fact that during the last presidential election in the United State, some foreign organizations and individuals took advantage of personal information of residents on the Internet with the view to misleading them, which is why they could influence voting behavior. As a result, governments all around the world had better legitimate strict laws to punish cybercriminals and improve the defensive networks of personal information security. In conclusion, I utterly believe that the advantages of mentioned-above trend, namely the removal of inconvenience in purchasing products on the Internet and providing better services, eclipse disadvantage, such as the abuse of people’s private information to come into conflict with the law. It seems to me that authorities should pay more attention to companies and individuals to regulate their activities more effectively. Đề: Some people think that newspapers are the best way to learn about the news. However, others believe that they can learn the news more effectively through other media. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Bài làm: Many individuals argue that the most effective way to access new information is by reading newspapers, whereas others mention that this can be effortlessly acquired through the usage of social media. In this essay, I will elaborate both sides of the topic, and I believe that people can access the news through a variety of choices. Some think that traditional newspapers are considered a more reliable source of information compared to other sources. In fact, most of the newspapers were written by professional journalists and have to be checked before being published for citizens. In China, for instance, the government tightly controls the media, including newspapers, which is why all new articles must be approved by them before they are published for people. Therefore, all misunderstandings and sensitive information will be censored thoroughly. Despite this, others believe that obtaining information more quickly across a variety of convenient platforms. In reality, with the widespread presence of the Internet, people with portable devices, such as a smartphone, are able to a huge story of news in just a few. This is exemplified by the fact that in Vietnam, new media outlets, such as Vietnamnet, constantly update breaking new stories more quickly than a traditional newspaper. As a result, it is predicted that more and more electronic newspaper would emerge with the aim of serving people’s needs. In summary, both sides have their valid viewpoints, such as the reliability and accessibility of traditional newspapers and the convenience of electronic newspapers. I, however, believe that citizens can learn news visually or auditorily. For instance, people who are looking for a new smartphone could watch videos introducing the product to be better informed about its features and analyze reactions from the general public before making a buying decision. đề Some people think that the government should offer financial support and care to elderly, while others think that people should save money for their future life. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Bài làm some people claim that the elderly should be subsidized with financial assistance and healthcare by the government ; however , other hold a belief that they have to put money aside for their future life. Although i am more in flavour of the latter opinion , this essay will discuss both view points. on the one hand, there are several reasons why people think the government should help old people with financial support. The first reason for this is, the elderly who had devoted their youth and energy to the society. this is perfectly exemplified in case of veterans and war invalids, they are no longer able to work ; hence, they deserve to receive all the social welfare. in addition, another reason is, there are a large number of aged people, who are homeless and childless, need to be taken good care of by the government because it belongs to the government's obligation. on the other hand, i agree with the opinion that older people should prepare savings for themselves to cover their bills after retirement. firstly , if they have their own money for payment, they will not depend on their children's money and can use it for urgent situations. they can take care themselves without any support from the government. therefore, the government can allocate part of their budget to indispensable financial priorities such as transportation, education system and healthcare. in term of offspring, because their parents can look after themselves so they can have more time to pay attention to their own life . in conclusion, although the government should support older people to some extent, i contend that the elderly should prepare money for their own payment so that do not need to rely on other people đề Some people think that the government should offer financial support and care to elderly, while others think that people should save money for their future life. Đề: Some people think the money spent on developing the technology for space exploration is not justified. There are more beneficial ways to spend this money. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Bài làm: It is argued that the expenditure allocated for state-of-the-art technological devices for space exploration is not reasonable. Many people believe that there are numerous productive uses to spend this money. I utterly agree with this statement given that addressing environmental contamination and investing in education in many countries are higher priorities. The major reason that I agree is that this money can be utilized to fund programs aimed to restore the environment. It is undeniable that humans are polluting and destroying the environment at a rapid rate, and there seems to be no concrete action to prevent a global environmental catastrophe from occurring in the near future. In 2022, for example, the Vietnamese government invested a huge amount of money to organize a program with the aim of cultivating 50 million trees in Gia Lai province. Therefore, future generations could have a health and safety planet to live. A further justification that I approve is that impoverished children’s lives can significantly be improved. In fact, there are millions of children around the world currently are unable to attend school due to the lack of financial resources and educational institutions. This is illustrated by the fact that the Vietnamese government subscribed a large amount of money to Angola with a view to constructing free schools, which is why education will become more accessible in many developing nations. Therefore, it is predicted that more and more free-paying schools will be built, youngsters have access to educational opportunities. To conclude, I totally agree that spending money on space exploration is not unjustified. This is because this can help poor children access education and mitigate environmental pollution on a global scale. As a result, this financial resource should instead be allocated towards improving human welfare and installing cutting-edge medical systems in some developing nations, such as Angola. To summarize, this industrial park will undergo several significant changes, the most important of which will be the destruction of the factory as well as the construction of various accommodation structures. Looking first at the western part of this location, adjacent to Toe Land, there are a parking lot and a warehouse, but they are expected to be replaced by two new houses, one with three bedroom and another with four. Meanwhile, the center will experience multiple remarkable variations, one of which is the removal of the entrance and reception building next to Chimney Road to make way for three 2-bedroom houses with their own communal gardens to their south, taking up more space than now. On the eastern side of this location, near Pie Walk, the plant will be devastated to give way to a new parking lot and an apartment complex that are expanded to the north. Another change in the center is the replacement of the office area and the canteen beside Swallow Street by parking garages to cater to new residents. Đề: Advertising is becoming more and more common in everyday life. Is this a positive or negative development? Bài làm: Advertising has become a ubiquitous presence in modern society, infiltrating our daily lives through television, social media, and public spaces. I believe that this phenomenon will bring about drawbacks, such as the loss of personal information and interruptions in concentration on a daily basis. The first primary disadvantage is its potential to invade personal privacy. In fact, advertisers constantly collect personal data from consumers without their knowledge or consent, then utilize this information to modify their advertisements. For example, the social media platforms, such as Facebook or Instagram, are assumed to track user activity and browsing history to distribute adverts, resulting in the loss of private information for internet users. Consequently, our online behavior is being closely monitored, analyzed and exploited by companies. A further drawback is that the omnipresence of commercials disrupts our daily habits and demands our attention, making us difficult to concentrate on working or studying. In reality, while browsing a website or using an app, pod-up ads can emerge unexpectedly, hindering navigation and frustrating users. For instance, while we are watching video on Youtube, watchers are often interrupted by adverts that cannot be skipped, causing a break in concentration and immersion. Therefore, the experience when people are utilizing the Internet and the process of working or studying will be negatively affected. In conclusion, I am convinced that the increasing prevalence of advertising in everyday life will result in negatives, including the potential violation of personal privacy and the disturbance of daily activities of individuals on the Internet. It seems to me that the companies overseeing social media platforms had better adjust the number of advertisements on the Internet. Đề: Advertising is becoming more and more common in everyday life. Đề: In many countries around the world, life expectancy is increasing. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this situation and give your own opinion. Bài làm: As life expectancy has been increasing inexorably in recent years, it has emerged as a topic of interest all around the world. Nowadays, people tend to live longer thanks to innovative technology and new methods of remedy. This trend would create certain benefits but there will also be some drawbacks. From my perspective, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Longer life expectancy results in several related problems that can be anticipated. First and foremost, the principal issue with this situation is obviously aging-population, which is a long-term dangerous phenomenon leading to many social problems. By way of example, numerous elderly dwellers can cause a dense population, consequently, people have to face the lack of living spaces, rapid house price growth, and pollution. The second drawback is that there will be more people of retirement age who are eligible to receive a pension. The proportion of the working-age population will be smaller and thus, the government will receive less money in taxes. In other words, young generations have to handle a greater tax burden. Besides, the government can not stably maintain the budget for healthcare services and public hospitals. As a result, there are not enough facilities and human resources to take care of people’s health. Despite the fact that there have been many cons, that affect negatively on our society, the potential of increasing life expectancy brings about significant pros in human lives. On the plus side of this trend, the elderly will have more time for themselves to pursue their own recreational activities after their hard-working lifetime when they were young, for instance, they can play sports with friends, and take part in many cultural activities. What is more, the elderly can also help parents take care of their children, so it will cut down a certain amount of money spent on babysitting, and reduce parents’s financial burden in many households. Consequently, their mental health is not only improved, but their family are also becoming more close-knit. In conclusion, whilst there are certain benefits the growing popularity of life expectancy may bring about, I would opine that the disadvantages of this trend are far weightier. It is necessary that the government should take measures to manage and balance the population, for the better growth of the young generation. Some people think that news has no connection to people’s lives, and therefore, they consider it a waste of time to read news in newspapers or watch television news programs. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is argued that reading news or watching TV programs is a waste of time, for it is irrelevant to people’s lives. This essay totally disagrees with this view. On the one hand, news does have a connection to human life. There are a bunch of new events updated from all over the world, ranging from politics to entertainment or even crime. Reading news from prestigious sources really benefits people to keep up with world speed, especially those who work in professional fields. For example, financial experts, who have to conduct extensive research or experiment of stock market, need to consistently update current affairs happening that affect to the price of market to make the right investment decision. On the other hand, watching TV programs would help people to be more sociable. By having a wide range of knowledge on various topics, people can have valuable conversations with their friends to discuss and debate the issues. That is the reason why not only is news obsolete, it would be more important over time and there are even more events will be explored. Đề: Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Bài làm: It is a common belief that advertising is an effective way to persuade customers to purchase stuff. However, some argue that nowadays people are not paying too much attention to advertisements since they have become so familiar. Therefore, this essay will discuss both ideas before revealing a definitive conclusion. On the one hand, due to the widespread multimedia and information transmission, advertising has become too popular, which bores people and makes them want to neglect it. In fact, according to a survey conducted in the USA in 2019, when coming across an advertisement on a webpage or TV, around 40% of people tend to overlook and the other 10% even try to cancel it by buying a free-advertising account. Consequently, this old way of marketing seems to be no longer as effective as it used to be in catching customers' attention. Additionally, it's more difficult for corporations to gain people's trust through the information advertised about the products compared to the past. The diagrams illustrate how the area of the town of Poulton changed after some alterations and urban developments over a period of 35 years, from 1900 to 1935. Overall, the area experienced significant renovations in terms of buildings and amenities. In 1900, the layout had a combination of residential, commercial, and industrial features. However, by 1935 the industrial features had largely disappeared, while there was a dramatic development of residential features. Whilst the railway line ran through the neighborhood in 1900, this had been removed by 1935. Furthermore, to the North of the map, the Bayley Mansions residence was erected on the original site of the factory, the Wasteland, and the first row of houses on Bayley Street. Besides, the two rows of terraced houses on Trent Street were replaced by blocks of flats to meet the growing demand for dwellings. Another major conversion to this area was the renovation of more commercial and recreational features. On the commercial side, the Laundry and Cafe had been relocated to the top right-hand corner, on the original site of the Wasteland in 1935. To the right of the map, some new shops were built on the aptly named New Lane, replacing the small shop of 1900. Furthermore, by 1935, recreational features appeared when the Wasteland, railway line, Railway workers' cottages at the bottom of the map, and the second row of houses on Bayley Street were torn down to make room for a spacious park and children’s play area.
