Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of implementing a four-day workweek. What is your opinion on this matter? Support your view with relevant examples and explanations.
In this day and age, the strategy to balance between work and life is to reduce timework from 7 or 8 to 4 days per week, while some challenges and demerits are influenced not only for governments but also for civilians. In this essay, I will discuss both points of view and give my opinion on this issue. On the one hand, begin with the positive aspects of a four-day work week. It can improve work-life balance to obtain better employee well-being. For example, in a study, if engineers, doctors, and teachers do not have enough time to relax because they work all day, their health may suffer a significant decline. So working along with entertainment activities such as playing sports, participating in concerts, and communicating with friends and parents prevents diseases in terms of mental or physical health such as coughs, headaches, or being almost exhausted. Furthermore, this strategy can enhance productivity because of a more rested workforce. Granted, some jobs may not take it up, like doctors, due to curing patients. However, others need free time to recover their energy and continue contributing to their workplace. For instance, by taking out 3 days per week, street-cleaning workers have time to spend with their families and then return with efficiency and productivity in the latest four days. On the other hand, shift focus to the potential drawbacks. It can be seen that there are possible challenges in customer service and business continuity. Some financial companies, such as banks, if their staff rests for 3 days, lose customers but must pay for annual operational costs and then go bankrupt. Admittedly, companies can cope with difficulties in coordinating with businesses and services operating on a traditional schedule. In particular, a wide variety of facilities that run into after-stop operations follow this idea. For example, water dumps need human to operate, which is difficult to adjust to not be harmful for nearby If a sudden stoppage occurs during resting-related time in 3 days in this infrastructure, they can lack the energy to maintain their lives, and then companies lose much more money as a result of the failed cooperation of other sides because they cannot facilitate residents' needs. Overall, it has some advantages, such as work-life balance and strengthening the activity; however, it can also bring about some disadvantages, such as bankruptcy or unsuccessful collaboration with business. From my perspective, this idea can be implemented with some jobs, which has slightly influenced nations. To deal with this matter, governments need to weigh up to gain job satisfaction. In this day and age, the strategy to balance between work and life is to reduce timework from 7 or 8 to 4 days per week, while some challenges and demerits are influenced not only for governments but... In current, It is obvious to notice the appearance of many children with special gift in specific field such as sport or music. However, some has thought if the normal kids receive the good education, they will literally become an ideal person. It has been a prevalent and controversial debate for recent years. Therefore, this essay will elaborate further on both points and state my perspectives. On one hand, there are some people are born with the gift as an outstanding physical outcome, which helps them can deal with some stuff less hard than other one. Perhaps, it can be perfect ears that help to identify and distinguish different sounds precisely or strong legs that may run with noticaeble speech. In contrast, that number of special people is only accounting for small group of world’s population. Particularly, the normal people may not mean that they lose more opportunities than the talent one. Indeed, if the gifted person did not learn and pratise their talent frequently, they could not make it become their skills and be a famous sport person or musician. The good instruction plays a remarkable role in the succeed of children’s transformance of who they want to be. This is because most of offspring is highly susceptible to influence by the right guidance, which also bring out the clear direction for them to focus on and enhance themselves. Additionally, any child, who is willing to consume as much as time and effort, is all potential to make their own position in a certain field. For instance, to win the Olympic, which can be explained as a competition among different aspects in sport, needs candidates to try practising techniques day and night. Thus, every children have the same chance to learn and grow to be an ideal person. To sum up, the kid with talent may have more benefits to become a good sports person or musician, but I still think that practice makes perfect. Similarly, when the kid gains the good instruction and attempts to practise it regularly, they will be a sport person or musician. In current, It is obvious to notice the appearance of many children with special gift in specific field such as sport or music. In many cities, problems related to overpopulation are becoming more common. Some governments are now encouraging businesses and individuals to move out of cities to rural areas. What are the advantages and the disadvantages of this trend?
In recent times, due to the population explosion, the outcome of overpopulation become a prevalent and controversial topic. Some governments and local authorities are motivating residents and businesses to move to the rural regions to settle down and establish houses, factories, companies, and so on. I believe that while there are a few benefits of settling down in rural areas, the drawbacks are greater significant. Both the advantages and disadvantages together with relevant examples will be explained carefully in this essay. There are several drawbacks to living in separated regions. First and foremost, it is difficult to connect with the outside world. Rural areas offer poor-quality Internet connection owing to far distance from modern society. For example, very few network providers set up their Internet stations in rural places, as a result, people may find it challenging to access the Internet, and social platforms. Another drawback is the inconvenience in travelling. The public means of transport and vehicles has not been developed yet, which will make it harder to go to any place. To give a personal example, I am living in my hometown, which is a rural district in Vietnam, and it always takes almost an hour to wait for a bus, which fosters the feeling of disappointment and annoyance. Despite the negatives mentioned above, moving to is a positive development for various reasons. One of the main reasons is that it helps to alleviate the pollution in the overpopulated regions in many countries. For further explanation, it is apparent that overpopulated areas will be more contaminated than rural ones because there are more factories, and industries established there, which produce a large amount of exhaust fumes and chemicals. Also, more citizens who are living in crowded places will certainly contribute to much more carbon dioxide and household waste. Fewer inhabitants and industries will produce less industrial and domestic waste, which will make the environment in overpopulated areas become cleaner. In conclusion, despite the advantages of living in rural areas, including pollution reduction in overpopulated areas, I firmly believe that it still has shortcomings in a few aspects such as travelling and accessing the Internet is more significant. In recent times, due to the population explosion, the outcome of overpopulation become a prevalent and controversial topic. Some governments and local authorities are motivating residents and business... Read more

Prompt: Some people want the government to spend money on life on other planets, however, others think it is a waste of public money when the Earth has so many problems. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Opinions are divided on whether the government should allocate the national budget towards the discovery of life on other planets or to solve problems on Earth. This essay will discuss both of these perspectives and explain why I believe a balanced approach should be well-considered. On the one hand, proponents of extraterrestrial exploration often emphasise the significance of humankind’s sustainability. This is because the search for interplanetary life can serve as a crucial backup plan for the long-term survival of human civilisation, given the volatility and catastrophe of current calamities and disasters on Earth. On the other hand, critics of cosmic discovery often argue that it is also imperative for the government to put importance on Earth. The resources and expenses should be provided for issues on the planet, such as poverty, health, education, and environment, to name but a few. The pursuit of interplanetary life should be considered extravagant and out of the boundaries of possibility. From my perspective, a balanced approach would be feasible, meaning space exploration can be done in tandem with addressing problems on Earth. This can be seen in a way that such investment can necessitate many innovations and breakthroughs that cater for the benefit of astronauts and the potential of interplanetary life. Furthermore, this strategy can also act as a catalyst for the expedition in the research of cutting-edge technology that can be implemented on Earth, prompting numerous effective solutions for measuring issues on the planet. In other words, neither of which should be prioritised at the expense of the other. In conclusion, while it is true that the government should distribute the national coffers budget to tackle worrying problems on Earth, I contend that the discovery of extraterrestrial life should receive public funding as well. A proper amount of resources and money provided can ensure both practices can be done simultaneously and efficiently. The picture illustrates the process of recycling paper. Overall, the process comprises four main stages, starting from making pulp from used paper, through filtering and cleaning, to fully recycled paper. The process begins with the used paper being conveyed on a belt into a large chamber, which contains a mixture of water and chemicals to clean the paper and break it down into fibre to form unfiltered pulp. This unfiltered pulp is then filtered to eliminate unwanted particles. Subsequently, the filtered pulp enters the cleaning stage, where it is deinked with water and soap in another chamber. During this stage, an air pump is installed, creating bubbles so that the ink is caused to rise to the surface, from where the ink is then removed through another pipe. This step is essential to ensure the pulp is free from any residual printing substances. The process then moves to the final stage, during which clean pulp is passed through heated rollers, which squeeze out water and produce rolls of recycled paper. Some people think that certain old buildings are more worth preserving than other ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Many people argue that certain historic structures hold more value and should be conserved more canfull than other types of buildings. In my opinion, I agree with this viewpoint, and I maintain the idea that it is essential to understand the value of those buildings which bring in people's life. It is true that each historic structure has its own special value which contributes to many aspects of local places or countries. People and the governments have responsibilities for protecting and maintaining the importance that all buildings bring. This method can raise people's awareness of the significance that architectures have. For example, children in Vietnam are taught about the significance historically of One Pillar Pagoda, a building that was built many centuries ago. They understand the value and the messenger that the pagoda owns. It is necessary to protect and maintain old buildings to preserve the culture of countries, and help each generation comprehend the crucial value of those structors. On the other hand, people can lose their national identity when they do not make an effort in protecting old buildings. Historic architectures ruined can seriously affect the cultural value of places that those buildings were constructed in, and people can gradually forget the contribution of their ancestors. For instance, some demolished historic churches cannot attract local people to come to those places for special occasions. This problem can lead to the decrease in the number of people remembering the significance of some cultures gradually. It is undeniable that humans need to realize the prominent significance of old buildings that have great impacts to people and their countries. In conclusion, people have different views with regard to the old buildings in current society. On balance, I believe that humans focusing on protecting old buildings can make their families and countries become happier and better which bring them a lot of benefits in their own life. Some people think that certain old buildings are more worth preserving than other ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Nowadays, not enough students choose science subjects in university in many countries. Why? Effects on society? It is observed that the number of students choosing science subjects as their major in tertiary education is lacking in many nations. This essay will discuss the reasons behind this phenomenon and some potential effects on society. Admittedly, there are two main factors contributing to this trend. First and foremost, science is not a popular field to have high-paid jobs after graduation as is the case with other majors. For instance, in Vietnam, business, information technology and social services are prominent sectors which offer learners the lucrative income, compared to the meager earnings of scientists. Secondly, science courses require a deeper understanding of natural principles as well as remembering complicated formulas. This, in turn, demands students have an intellectual ability to accumulate an amount of knowledge in different areas. As a result, there are fewer scientific students who can meet their requirements to graduate from higher education and have enough standard of qualifications in order to cope up with science jobs in the employment markets. However, the lack of scientific students in some parts of the world may have detrimental impacts on society. First, as fewer students pursue science in university, there is a shortage of experts in science jobs. This leads to the insufficient qualified staff which are highly demanded in the employment market. To illustrate, R&D activities in most companies play an essential part to adapt to new technologies. In addition, a few scientific students result in a decline in new research, studies and even breakthrough inventions. Therefore, this would pose a threat to the development of technology, medicines, and others that enhance the human's standard of living. In conclusion, being challenging to pursue and providing lower earnings are two major justifications why the students often have little or no science education. The consequence of this tendency ranges from a shortage of qualified employees in scientific fields to a shortage of new creations that lead to economic and development stagnation for society. Nowadays, not enough students choose science subjects in university in many countries. Why? Effects on society? Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? In recent years, some arguments state that there are numerous choices for individuals at the present, while others may hold the contrasting viewpoint. In my opinion, I absolutely agree with the first one, and my essay will elaborate further more on my perspective. In the educational field, students have an excessive number of options to pursue their efficient study. This is because the physical facilities have been enhanced to bring out more studying methods. For instance, 20 years ago, the primary approach to store the knowledge was writing down everything by book and pencil in the live class. However, in current, the creation of modern facilities such as digital products combines with electronic learning class, which expands the opportunities for many students to acquire knowledge more flexibly in a remote area or even abroad. Therefore, that element makes my view more sustainable. Furthermore, entertaining activities are another factor that gives individuals many selections. Due to the technological advancement and the contribution of creative scientists, various sorts of activities are innovated both indoors and outdoors. As indoor activities, people can choose metaverse games or mobile games to amuse in leisure time. Additionally, iceskating and waterpark are outside activities which are recently invented. Comparing to the past, the only choice was outdoor games with natural materials such as leaves and sticks. Consequently, this drastic change makes my point clearer. To conclude, I strongly agree that people gain more choices in their life such as studying methods and amusing activities. In the future, If the world keeps developing, human will have more options to improve their owned life. Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. Skills such as cookery, dressmaking and woodwork should not be taught at school as it is better to learn these from family and friends. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? It is argued that schools should pay more attention to academic aspects rather than life skills which should be taught by friends and family. In my view, I completely disagree with this opinion because I suppose that they have equal important. On the one hand, it seems to me that academic success and passing examinations play a vital role in the development of students due to the enhancement of their job prospects. In other words, it provides to students with intensive knowledge helping them meet the requirement of labour market, as well as prepare for them to enter current modern work environments which are full of innovations and technology. With excellent academic records and achievements, they are more likely to land a lucrative job such as scientists or financial analysists. On the other hand, I also think that teaching life skills at schools is essential. Firstly, it gives the time and space to students for relaxation. After tense lessons, students tend to need recreational activities to release their stress, and skills such as cooking or dressing are the most suitable activities as they seem to not contain any professional knowledge and be inclinable to creativity, ecouraging students to do what they prefer. Secondly, it creates a possibility for students to explore themselves. Through skills lessons, students are able to discover their personalities and strengths, whereby improving them properly. In conclusion, thanks to the relaxed values and self-exploration that life skills brings to when they are taught at schools, I strongly believe that it should be concentrated equally to academic achievements and good performance in exams, which are regarded as a preparation for the future of students.
