The line graph illustrates the proportion of visitors to four different attractions in Scotland: aquarium, castle, zoo, and festival, between 1980 and 2010. Overall, there were decreases in the share of tourists visiting aquariums and festivals, while the reverse pattern was seen in castles and zoos. Additionally, the castle generally was the most visited over the period, while the opposite was true for the zoo. Regarding destinations that rose, the share of sightseers visiting the castle started at roughly 23%, after which it increased significantly and peaked at 45% in 1995, followed by a 10% decrease in the next five years, before slowing down and ending the period at shy of this level. Meanwhile, zoos were the least visited for most of the period, with only 10% of travellers in 1980, followed by some fluctuations for the next two decades, before doubling in the final year to be the second most visited. As for categories with declines, one-fifth of travellers went to aquariums in 1980, with a peak of 35% five years later, prior to falling considerably to the lowest point at 10% in 2010, becoming the least visited, despite a slight recovery between 1990 and 1995. Similar changes, albeit to a much lesser extent, were seen in the figure for festivals, with a steady fall from 30% in 1980 to 20% in 2010. The table illustrates how many people from five countries in Europe resided in other countries in this region in 2011. Overall, the highest total of immigrants recorded was the Polish, while the opposite was true for the Spanish. However, Germany dominated in the number of expatriates, while the lowest was the case for that of Poland. Regarding the three most popular options, Germany saw the highest number of non-Germans, at nearly 1.2 thousand in total, with the majority from Italy (556 thousand). Followed closely was Britain with just over 1 million expats, with just over half being Polish (550 thousand). Meanwhile, the total figure for Spain was around 200 thousand fewer than those of Germany and Britain, of which almost half were from Britain (391 thousand). As for the two remaining countries, 106 thousand Polish relocated to Italy, which was the largest group, compared to its minority counterpart (19 thousand Spanish). Finally, Poland was the least chosen country, with only 6 thousand people in total, of which over half were from Germany (4.4 thousand), much greater than their minor counterparts (only 170 Spanish). The line graph illustrates the export volume from Australia to four countries, namely Japan, the US, China, and India between 1990 to 2012. Overall, there were increases in the export proportions to China and India over the period, while the opposite was true for those to Japan and the US. Additionally, the figure for China saw the most significant growth, and Japan was the largest importer for most of the period. Regarding countries with upward trends, in 1990, the Australian export rate to China was about 2%, after which it surged to just below 30% in 2012, after surpassing the figures for the US and Japan at 10% in 2004 and 20% in 2008, respectively, to become the largest importer. Moreover, the export percentage to India remained relatively stable and the lowest at 1% until 2002, followed by a steady incline and peaked at just under 10% in 2009, before ending the period with a marginal fall of 2%. As for the other countries, both nations saw some slight fluctuations over the period. Japan accounted for the highest share of imports in the first year, at a quarter. Thereafter, its figures saw a gradual decline and the lowest point at approximately 18% in 2003, prior to hovering around this level until 2012, despite a 2007-to-2008 recovery. Meanwhile, the US generally experienced a similar pattern, starting at the highest point at just above 10% initially, then ending with a steady decline to just over India’s final level, despite a peak at the initial level in 2000. Some people believe that increasing taxes on various industries will reduce pollution whereas others believe that there are better alternative ways. Discuss both the view and give your opinion. Opinions diverge the imposition of elevated taxes on several economic sectors, which can decrease environmental degradation. In contrast, there are more helpful methods to resolve this problem. On the one hand, putting high taxes on diverse industries to alleviate pollution for two reasons. Firstly, high taxes may encourage more sustainable technological advancement. When faced with large tax payable, companies are forced to invest money in modern and cleaner technology. For example, the implementation of a significant tax on single-use plastic prompts manufacturers who have to adopt biodegradable materials for packaging. This reformation can help businesses retain revenue without big tax payable, especially with the technology that is friendly to the environment. Moreover, increasing taxes will decrease the number of companies that do not meet environmental standards. Because most of the small companies produce plastic, brick, and cement releasing a large number of emissions into the air. On the other hand, there are also more viable ways to handle this problem. The first is one of which is the introduction of rigorous environmental regulations. The authorities should heavily punish organizations that intentionally disobey the laws. To illustrate, business licenses are stripped and members are sentenced to prison by the Vietnamese government for affecting badly into environment. Furthermore, educating and increasing public awareness of citizens to make environment-conscious choices in daily life such as saving water and using recycled electricity, changing to drive electricity transportation instead of oil cars. In conclusion, although I admit that heighten taxs on businesses can address pollution by promoting clean technology and decreasing carbon emissions. But, using strict laws and policies on businesses is also a good way to decrease pollution Some people believe that increasing taxes on various industries will reduce pollution whereas others believe that there are better alternative ways. Question: Some people think that success in life comes from hard work and determination, while others think that there are more important factors such as money and appearance. Discuss both views and give your opinion. In this day and age, the question of which are the factors leading to success in life has sparked an ongoing debate. While some people believe it comes from hard work and determination, others think some factors such as money and appearance significantly contribute to success. In this essay, I will delve into analyzing both stances, before concluding my own view why I would lean towards the former. On the one hand, there are some undeniable reasons why some individuals think money and appearance play an important role in becoming successful. Initially, the strong financial background could facilitate many favorable conditions to success. This is because people can have more opportunities to access higher education and better services based on strong finance. As a result, they could easily lay the foundation for career development, thus resulting in higher job opportunities and living standards. Another factor considered as an essential element is appearance. To begin with, having an outstanding look could offer individuals more choices in an alluring career and attractive salary. For example, many positions that have a high advancement in economic and banking systems require both employees and employers with a good appearance. Therefore, possessing an attractive look can be a vital catalyst to give people more chances to succeed in life. On the other hand, I hold the view that hard work and determination are one of the most important factors to succeed. Regarding the former, the road to success requires individuals who have an industrious character. To be more specific, it is understandable that the development in the career ladder is usually accompanied with long hours of hard and effective working. Thus, they might become more successful if they are equipped with this valuable quality. Regarding the latter, determination with a lot of goals helps them navigate and develop more effectively. Due to the motivation gained from their goals, they are likely to become more committed with their targets instead of giving up when facing some challenges. As a result, through hard work and strong determination, people could get a higher position in their career prosperity, leading to significant success in their lives. In conclusion, while I acknowledge finance and appearance play an essential role for people to become successful in life, I concede that hard work and determination are more significant in creating success in life. However, there is a need for a balanced strive between these factors to facilitate the best condition for individuals to gain success in their life. The diagrams illustrate the changes that have taken place in a school between 1985 and now. Overall, the school has undergone significant changes, the most important of which are the addition and development of schooling facilities, catering for the educational and physical activities of an increase in the number of students (1500 to 2300). In the north of the school campus was a rectangular car park in 1985 with a road surrounding it, connecting an entrance and an exit. This car park has been changed into a semicircular shape along with the road, while another small car park in its southwest has been removed. In addition, the driveway leading southward from the road to big playing fields has also been demolished, making space for trees. The south side of the school premises was mainly occupied by the playing fields in 1985, which has been halved, allowing the construction of a new physical complex including a pool and a fitness centre on the west of the playing fields. Moreover, a library on the west of the campus has been upgraded into a learning resource centre with a new computer room inside, while on the south of this centre is an expanded building of classrooms, which used to be on the east of the former library. Meanwhile, the two-storey classroom block has been added with another level, along with another new building of classrooms built on the south of it. The picture compares the layout and furniture between a single student room and a dual one at an Australian university. Overall, the two-student room is more spacious, catering for more furnishings, meaning a higher weekly rental cost than the room for one student. Regarding size, both rooms share the same length (6 meters), while the two-person room is more spacious (4 meters) than the other room (2.5 meters), prompting students to pay more ($350/week compared to $200/week). As one enters, on the left of the entrance, the two rooms have similar features, including a bathroom, a bookshelf, a study desk and a bed. In addition, the big difference between these rooms is that the bigger room has a table with two chairs right near the entrance, which are unincluded in the smaller one. On the right of the entrance is a kitchen corner comprising a microwave, a stove, and a sink in both rooms. However, the single room’s kitchen has a more confined cooking space, while that in the double-occupant room faces the wall by the entrance because of the lengthened width, allowing more space for cooking. Moreover, next to the kitchen, both rooms also have a television. However, the bigger room has less space because of an additional study desk next to the television, and next to which is a second bed located in the far right corner, separated from the first one by two cupboards. Question: Some people believe that watching TV is bad for children, while others claim it has positive effects for children as they grow up. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. In this day and age, the question of whether it is good or bad for children to watch TV has sparked an ongoing debate. In this essay I will delve into analyzing both stances, before concluding my own view why its drawbacks are more profound. Admittedly, watching TV can benefit children in terms of obtaining knowledge and developing some valuable qualities. Regarding the former, many children could gain knowledge through watching educational television programs. To be more clarify, many educational programs, which provide insight into animals, science and history could offer kids a range of solid knowledge backgrounds, laying the foundation for cognitive development and future academic study. As a result, it not only contributes to their cognitive development but also helps them easily achieve high academic performance as they grow up. Regarding the latter, some advertisements can inspire kids with many precious messages about appropriate behaviors. Throughout some advertising created to deliver some meaningful lessons about behaving with others, they can realize the right actions and become more responsible. For example, many advertisements aimed at changing wrong children’s behaviors can have significantly positive impacts on them, leading to a sense of appreciation and responsibility. However, it is my firm belief that the advantages of watching TV from children pale in comparison with its disadvantages. One of these drawbacks is that eye-strain can be resulted from overspending time on the screen. This is because many kids nowadays become more addicted to entertainment programs such as cartoons, thus they can spend long hours in front of the screen for only entertainment purposes. Therefore, it can take a toll on their eyesight, potentially affecting their work and study in the future. Another disadvantage is some programs could trigger them to do a lot of dangerous activities. Initially, some adventurous programs, which are produced by professionals and generated for adults only can promote kids to mimic some life-threatening activities. Consequently, this can put children's health at risk and hinder their overall well-being. In conclusion, while I concede that watching TV can bring certain benefits for kids when they get older, I hold the view that its disadvantages are more significant. However, there is a need for a balanced approach in order to facilitate favorable conditions for their well-rounded development. Question: Some people believe that watching TV is bad for children, while others claim it has positive effects for children as they grow up. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. The picture illustrates the design and mechanism of a modern landfill for household use. Overall, the landfill comprises several layers, with two drainage systems and a self-degraded process of household waste, and the closed process occurs underground. Regarding the construction, a trapezoid artificial hole is dug deep into the ground above a natural rock layer. Subsequently, a thin clay layer covers the hole, followed by another layer made from synthetic substance, containing a drainage tank and a system of pipes above. As for operation, once the household waste has been disposed into the hole, it is then sealed by another layer of clay on the surface. After a period of time, the trash naturally decomposes into a mud-like form. Meanwhile, the leachate, the by-product of this process, percolates down to the drainage tank and is stored there, from where it turns into gas form and is exuded into the environment through the pipe system. People who aspire to fame and fortune often feel more pressure than happiness. Why? And what are the effects?
In recent years, many people believe that being famous and fortunate are very exciting and they automatically make people feel happy. However, some people feel more pressure than happiness when they aspire to them. There are some reasons for this phenomenon. Firstly, people often have unrealistic expectations about what fame and fortune will bring them. They may think that it will solve all their problems and make them happy, but in reality, it may not be the case. Secondly, when people become famous, they are constantly in the public eye, which can be stressful and overwhelming. They may feel like they are always being watched and judged, which can lead to anxiety and paranoia. Moreover, with fame and fortune comes a certain level of expectation from others, including fans, critics, and the media. People who aspire to fame and fortune may feel pressure to maintain a certain image or standard, which can be exhausting and stressful. Finally, the effects of this pressure can be significant. People may develop mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. They may also struggle to maintain relationships and may feel like they cannot trust anyone. In some cases, people may even become suicidal. Overall, while fame and fortune may seem like the ultimate goal for many people, it is important to recognize that it comes with a significant amount of pressure and stress. It is important for people to focus on their own happiness and well-being, rather than external validation or success. In recent years, many people believe that being famous and fortunate are very exciting and they automatically make people feel happy. Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as unsastifactory job or shortage of money. Other argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions. bài làm của em ạ: While a school of thought holds accepting a bad situation is the best idea, others are of opinion that endeavor and enhancing is better. From my perspective, I align myself with the latter view. On the one hand, it is understandable why some argue that accepting a bad situation is the best idea. The key rationale is that They have many characteristics such as lazy, and easily give up. In fact, these days numerous people often have this characteristic, and they often attribute to fortunate because of their mistakes in their work or study. For example, many students do not prepare for the examination, thus, they cannot get a high score at school. As a consequence, they may ascribe to the difficulty of examiners and tasks. This goes to show that accepting a bad situation is a idea of many easily give up and lazy people.’ On the other hand, I side with those who believe that endeavor to enhance their situations is a better idea. First, these people often are patient, and they never give up despite any barriers. They often bear a responsibility with the work or study of them. For example, when they have some mistakes in their works, they may be punished by their boss. However, they do not ascribe to their fortunate, while they check themselves and fix it to be better. Second, they are often hard-working to reach a best result despite their disadvantaged conditions such as poverty. Many people who have these characteristics often get more success than others, who just rely on their fortunate. For example, Son Tung MTP, a famous singer, despite his poverty, he tried to buy an old computer to publish his first song “Con mua ngang qua”. Today, he is regarded as one of the most famous in singer in Viet Nam. In conclusion, although there are some justifications to advocate accepting bad situations is the best idea, I would contend that the best idea is try to enhance their skills and fix their mistakes to be better. Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as unsastifactory job or shortage of money. Other argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. In recent years, there has been a controversial and prevalent debate for the adjustment in criminal punishments. Some state that they should create certain penalties for the specific sorts of wrongdoings. However, the others require that before giving the punishments, it is necessary to consider some surrounding factors that can impact on the final decision. Therefore, my essay will elaborate further on both views, and state my perspective. Creating an appropriate punishment for each type of illegal acts can prevent individuals from the long-term engaging in crime. This is because if people have the clear awareness in how terrible of the punishments are, they will feel scared and even hesitate to participate in any crime. For instance, there is a rule in Canada for littering and the one who breaks the rule must be fined for 2000 bucks. As the result, that country has become one of the cleanest countries globally. Thus, the good deterrence will have a positive effect on human being. On the contrary, considering other categories before giving the penalty becomes more equivalent for people. Due to the surrounding factors which sometimes lead individuals to accidently commit the crime, so it may need a careful researd to bring out the proper punishment for each case. Similarly, the woman killing her husband to defend herself from violent action should not be compared as the other killers in purpose. Therefore, currently, before conducting any penalty, most of criminal situation must be discussed carefully at the court. To sum up, creating suitable punishments for each type of crime can contribute to the decline in criminal. However, my perspective is preferable to the careful consideration due to the equality for individuals. Particularly, the purpose for this debate is just to make people do not make any illegal choice. Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should al... Xem thêm

Question: Some people who have been in prison become good citizens later. Some say that these are the best people to talk to school students about the dangers of committing a crime. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? In this day and age, the topic of who are the best people to talk to students about the dangers of committing a crime has become an ongoing debate. While some believe it should be individuals who have been in prison and become good citizens later due to their valuable lessons and advice, I hold the view that it should be experts and professionals with a lot of pedagogical knowledge to gain more efficiency. On the one hand, speakers who have been in prison giving talks about crime can help youngsters realize the severe consequences based on their experiences and deter them from illegal activities. First of all, ex-prisoners can educate school students about the severe consequences. This is because they are people who understand exactly the harsh punishment by laws, the pain caused to victims and the torment of conscience. As a result, by their realistic experiences they could instill teenagers about the fear of committing offenses and dissuade any potential ideas about engaging in illegal behaviors. Moreover, nowadays, a lot of tenagers are obsessed with violent activities and admire some criminals due to misleading information featured in comics or movies. Therefore, throughout the serious repercussions, the rehabilitated offenders could give valuable advice and discourage them from committing crimes. On the other hand, I concede that there will be more efficiency when having experts and professionals to educate students about criminal behaviors. To begin with, there are some limitations when having speakers who are ex-criminals due to their non-experience in educating. For example, some of them can give inappropriate approaches about offenses to teenagers, leading to misinforming or even ineffective results. In contrast, the effectiveness of the talk may be enhanced if the spokesperson are experts or professionals. Because some of them are police officers who directly work on dealing with offenders or experts who are equipped with pedagogical techniques can introduce some effective approaches about the dangers of breaking the law to young individuals. Consequently, the teenagers can fully understand the dangers of lawbreaking and prevent themselves from potentially criminal activities. In conclusion, while I acknowledge that speeches made by ex-offenders who become good individuals later can offer teenagers valuable insights and advice about the dangers of crime, I hold the view that we could maximize the positive outcomes when speakers are professionals with teaching methods. Additionally, there is a need for collaboration among social classes to fight against crime, ensuring the sustainable development in society for the long run. Question: Many children these days have an unhealthy lifestyle. Both schools and parents are responsible for solving this problem. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Answer: Nowadays, more and more children have negative ways to live. Some people believe that schools' responsibility but some people think only parents can solve this problem. In my opinion, both schools and families should have actions together to help young people. On the one hand, children spend a lot of time at school. So school is a good choice to provide lessons about lifestyle for children. For example, teachers explain to students the consequence of bad lifestyle and teach them how to have good routines. On the other hand, family is an important factor that affects children. Parents should observe their children's habits and find out the reasons why they have that lifestyle. After, parents and children have conversations about this topic. To sum up young people are affected easily. That's why parents and teachers need to teach them a right way.
