Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as unsastifactory job or shortage of money. Other argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. From my perspective, I align myself with the latter view. On the one hand, it is understandable why some argue that accepting a bad situation is the best idea. The key rationale is that They have many characteristics such as lazy, and easily give up. In fact, these days numerous people often have this characteristic, and they often attribute to fortunate because of their mistakes in their work or study. For example, many students do not prepare for the examination, thus, they cannot get a high score at school. As a consequence, they may ascribe to the difficulty of examiners and tasks. This goes to show that accepting a bad situation is a idea of many easily give up and lazy people.’ On the other hand, I side with those who believe that endeavor to enhance their situations is a better idea. First, these people often are patient, and they never give up despite any barriers. They often bear a responsibility with the work or study of them. For example, when they have some mistakes in their works, they may be punished by their boss. However, they do not ascribe to their fortunate, while they check themselves and fix it to be better. Second, they are often hard-working to reach a best result despite their disadvantaged conditions such as poverty. Many people who have these characteristics often get more success than others, who just rely on their fortunate. For example, Son Tung MTP, a famous singer, despite his poverty, he tried to buy an old computer to publish his first song “Con mua ngang qua”. Today, he is regarded as one of the most famous in singer in Viet Nam. In conclusion, although there are some justifications to advocate accepting bad situations is the best idea, I would contend that the best idea is try to enhance their skills and fix their mistakes to be better. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. In recent years, there has been a controversial and prevalent debate for the adjustment in criminal punishments. Some state that they should create certain penalties for the specific sorts of wrongdoings. However, the others require that before giving the punishments, it is necessary to consider some surrounding factors that can impact on the final decision. Therefore, my essay will elaborate further on both views, and state my perspective. Creating an appropriate punishment for each type of illegal acts can prevent individuals from the long-term engaging in crime. This is because if people have the clear awareness in how terrible of the punishments are, they will feel scared and even hesitate to participate in any crime. For instance, there is a rule in Canada for littering and the one who breaks the rule must be fined for 2000 bucks. As the result, that country has become one of the cleanest countries globally. Thus, the good deterrence will have a positive effect on human being. On the contrary, considering other categories before giving the penalty becomes more equivalent for people. Due to the surrounding factors which sometimes lead individuals to accidently commit the crime, so it may need a careful researd to bring out the proper punishment for each case. Similarly, the woman killing her husband to defend herself from violent action should not be compared as the other killers in purpose. Therefore, currently, before conducting any penalty, most of criminal situation must be discussed carefully at the court. To sum up, creating suitable punishments for each type of crime can contribute to the decline in criminal. However, my perspective is preferable to the careful consideration due to the equality for individuals. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? In this day and age, the topic of who are the best people to talk to students about the dangers of committing a crime has become an ongoing debate. While some believe it should be individuals who have been in prison and become good citizens later due to their valuable lessons and advice, I hold the view that it should be experts and professionals with a lot of pedagogical knowledge to gain more efficiency. On the one hand, speakers who have been in prison giving talks about crime can help youngsters realize the severe consequences based on their experiences and deter them from illegal activities. First of all, ex-prisoners can educate school students about the severe consequences. This is because they are people who understand exactly the harsh punishment by laws, the pain caused to victims and the torment of conscience. As a result, by their realistic experiences they could instill teenagers about the fear of committing offenses and dissuade any potential ideas about engaging in illegal behaviors. Moreover, nowadays, a lot of tenagers are obsessed with violent activities and admire some criminals due to misleading information featured in comics or movies. Therefore, throughout the serious repercussions, the rehabilitated offenders could give valuable advice and discourage them from committing crimes. On the other hand, I concede that there will be more efficiency when having experts and professionals to educate students about criminal behaviors. To begin with, there are some limitations when having speakers who are ex-criminals due to their non-experience in educating. For example, some of them can give inappropriate approaches about offenses to teenagers, leading to misinforming or even ineffective results. In contrast, the effectiveness of the talk may be enhanced if the spokesperson are experts or professionals. Because some of them are police officers who directly work on dealing with offenders or experts who are equipped with pedagogical techniques can introduce some effective approaches about the dangers of breaking the law to young individuals. Consequently, the teenagers can fully understand the dangers of lawbreaking and prevent themselves from potentially criminal activities. In conclusion, while I acknowledge that speeches made by ex-offenders who become good individuals later can offer teenagers valuable insights and advice about the dangers of crime, I hold the view that we could maximize the positive outcomes when speakers are professionals with teaching methods. Additionally, there is a need for collaboration among social classes to fight against crime, ensuring the sustainable development in society for the long run. Prompt: In many parts of the world, some famous people are considered ‘role models’, and they are having an increasing influence on the young. Is this a positive or negative development? Many celebrities in many parts of the world have increasingly affected young people as they are regarded as exemplars. I believe this tendency has both benefits and drawbacks, depending on the character and behaviour of the well-known individuals involved. To begin with, certain renowned personalities, particularly those with ethical issues and without genuine talent, may negatively affect young people. As for the former, such negative role models can prompt many of the young to make poor decisions. Prime examples would be substance abuse or driving under the influence, behaviours that can cause impressionable young individuals to idolise and follow these misdeeds mistakenly. Furthermore, those figures who come to fame with no talent but scandal can promote a distorted perception of success in young people. This can be seen in the way that genuine talent, more often than not, is overlooked by notoriety and looks. As a result, the young can easily misunderstand the value of success and the means to achieve it. However, there are also celebrities who have served as a great source of inspiration and motivation for the young. Chief among these would be successful entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates, who can be considered muses for young people to constantly work hard and pursue self-growth. These pioneers have laid a foundation for the development of technology in the world through their perseverance and brilliant intellect. Additionally, some public figures who transfer meaningful messages through their work can inspire many to follow as well. A perfect example would be Ronaldo, one of the best football players in the world whose many world records, awards, and titles. His tenacity, motivation, and discipline have helped him to succeed on this sports field and inspired many other people, especially young fans. In conclusion, there is no ultimate answer to the question of whether the influence of famous individuals on the young is positive or negative. They can be detrimental for young people if these personalities are involved in immoral behaviour or if they lack authentic talent. Conversely, leading entrepreneurs and inspiring athletes who have substantial contributions to society generally have a positive impact. In contemporary society, human beings’ lifespan is continuously extending. This has led to the question of whether the retirement age should be expanded simultaneously to balance the issue. Personally, I firmly oppose the notion of raising the age of retirement. On the one hand, some may argue that the idea of retaining old-age workers can be considered necessary owing to their wide horizon. Without a doubt, the older generation, those who have accumulated a great deal of knowledge and experience after decades of contributing to the workforce, would take precedence over their amateur counterparts. Additionally, another primary factor lies in the budget for pensions. In fact, if humankind’s life expectancy keeps widening while the age for retirement remains unchanged, a handsome pension may be inevitably required to pay for retiring workers. Undoubtedly, raising the retirement age can be an economic decision for later purposes including renovating facilities and purchasing up-to-date equipment, which in turn leads to an enhancement in productivity and accuracy of the working procedure. On the other hand, one compelling rationale advocating the unchanged retirement age can be mentioned in terms of humanitarian. Noticeably, the old-age labor force has spent more than half of their whole life contributing to the national economy. Hence, the period of retirement can be a sign of not only validating their devotion but also averting the matter of abuse. Also, the old-age people are conservative about their conventional working methods and less likely to adapt to changing technology. As a result, making use of modern equipment and many efficient ways of practice can be a big challenge for them. Thus, replacing them with a younger labor force who can easily come up with pragmatic approaches can facilitate better outcomes in this ever-changing world. In conclusion, while raising the retirement age can serve as a plausible solution to the concern of increasing lifespan, I firmly believe the unchanged age for retiring can potentially uphold humanitarian and flexibility in this fast-paced developing world. Such legal measures can act as a powerful motivator, encouraging individuals to prioritize recycling in their daily lives or pausing or mitigating the trend of using disposable items such as plastic bags or non-rechargeable batteries, ultimately curbing the amount of domestic waste. On the other hand, it is essential to recognize that the success of recycling initiatives goes beyond legislation alone. Raising public knowledge of the importance of recycling and its good environmental impact can result in a more significant and long-lasting shift in people's behaviours. Educational programs can highlight the costs of excessive waste generation as well as the benefits of recycling, inspiring people to take proactive efforts toward appropriate waste management. Governments can work with educational institutions, media outlets, and community organizations to raise awareness about recycling and sustainable waste management techniques. To summarize, while I support the enforcement of recycling laws, I strongly believe in the significance of a holistic plan that combines legal demands with vigorous teaching initiatives.
