In this day and age, the internet has been playing a pivotal role in the way people contact each other. The application of social platforms including Twitter and Facebook has been substituting face-to-face interaction on a daily basis. Although using social networks has some negative aspects, I consider that its benefits are more significant.
On the one hand, one of the drawbacks of social media is that it is detrimental to face-to-face interaction. In fact, when people spend an excessive amount of time on social networks, they will be prone to separating themselves from other activities like hanging out with friends, engaging in conversation, thus adversely affecting their personal relationships.
On the other hand, I believe that the benefits of social media are more remarkable. First and foremost, social networking sites can enable people to connect with others on a global scale. For instance, the rapid development of various apps like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram can make it easier for individuals to send messages, post pictures and videos to interact with people over a long distance. Additionally, social media could also be advantageous to students and teachers. This can be exemplified by the fact that in the outbreak of Covid-19, teachers can conduct online teaching for their children through learning apps, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc which might be more convenient in comparison with traditional teaching.
In conclusion, although overrelying on social media can be adverse to interpersonal interaction, I support that its advantages are more outstanding, as internet can facilitate communication and distance learning.

In the previous 20 years, there was a couple round tables surrounded by chairs located in the center of the library. In the bottom right-hand corner of the building housed an enquiry desk, which was opposite to a section for reading newspapers and magazines. On both sides of tables and chairs, adult fiction books and adult non-fiction books were arranged, while the upper right and left corners were designated for children’s books and multimedia materials such as CDs, video games and computer games, respectively.
Nowadays, the library has undergone some remarkable changes. Notably, the old tables and chairs have been removed, creating a more spacious space. The enquiry desk has been transformed into a coffee shop, while the reading room in the left corner has also been converted into a computer room. The provided maps illustrate the current design of an industrial region in the Norbiton town, along with planned changes occuring in the area.
Overall, it is noticeable that the region is planned to experience various significant alterations, among which will be the demolition of factories and the construction of residential housing and other facilities. However, the locations of river, town and big roundabout will remain unchanged.
Presently, there has been a circle in the center of industrial area, connected by two pathways. One of them branches off to the main road in the south of the map, the other reaches a factory situated in the eastern side. Meanwhile, other factories have been built around the roundabout and the second pathway. In the west of the region stands a town, leading to a river in the north of the map, with a farmland situated right above the river.
In the future, the town will remain intact, while all factories will be removed to make room for other amenities. Notably, there will be two more pathways connected to the big circle. One way will lead northwest-ward to two houses, the other will directly seperate the old river in the north, with a new path constructed to protect people living in a house behind it, on its right side will be the farmland. A small roundabout is also planned to be built in the center of the road. Furthermore, the old pathway in the east will be expanded to construct accomodation, school and playground. To begin with, a growing number of individuals agree that university qualifications are the only key factor that results in career success. In the fast-paced world, it is undeniable that a large number of young people pursue doctors, teachers, engineers, and so on as their dream careers. Consequently, having a Bachelor’s Degree is compulsory in order to make their ambitions come true. Furthermore, recruiters are in favor of qualified applicants in curricula vitae screening and they are more likely to contact these applicants for an interview. For further explanation, curriculum vitae is a personal brief profile in which young people not only provide their personal information, but they can also showcase their certain level of intelligence, competence, and education. What is more, a university degree can demonstrate an individual’s educational background and expertise knowledge, which is recently a main driving force of recruitment in many companies. Hence, those who graduate tend to attract more employers, which can offer them a wide range of job opportunities and choices.
Having said that, there is also a noticeable trend where people think going to work after graduating from school and earning experience is the superior orientation for the young generation.
In fact, there are many professions that do not require any qualifications or diplomas. Take hairdressers, tattoo artists, and mechanics for example, a large figure of them are still able to work and earn money without a university education. Therefore, studying in universities is a waste of money and time in these cases. In terms of personal development, working adults can gain more life skills as well as their specific expertise. On top of that, the working environment plays an essential role in helping them become an independent and mature person as they have to learn how to manage their living expenses, and communication skills to get on with their colleagues and make a living by themselves. Interestingly, universities do not teach those practical skills but school of life.
In conclusion, I feel that both perspectives are justifiable in their own way. Choosing to go to work or continue studying at the university after school depends on an individual’s orientation and family situation. From these factors, young adults can decide to pursue their own wishes in the most flexible and effective way that is suitable to their career path and personality.

As is observed, The number of entertainment hit the highest point in 2004, while the percentage of restaurant and hotel is lowest at all.
Looking at details 1, Entertainment and Food and drink accounted for hight point . ALmost, The two groups have a fairly moderate difference from less than 30 to 75. While, in the over 76 age group, they choose food and drinks more than entertainment at 24% and entertainment only half as much. For all ages, food and drinks always occupy a high position. Except for those under 30 and 61-75, entertainment is a little more approximate.
Looking at details 2, Restaurants and hotels make up the lowest percentage on all three lists. In the under 30s, restaurants and hotels top all three and reach 14% almost double that of food and drink and entertainment. There is a moderate difference at 31-45 and 46-60. The biggest gap is in the 61-75 age group at 2%, only 1/12 of entertainment and 1/10 of food and drink. At age 76 and older, there is also a large difference at 7%. Besides learning theoretical knowledge in books, nowadays, education is promoting teaching programs which have a tendency to guide the development of life skills, encourage using creativity and practical knowledge to apply lessons at school. Therefore, students can perceive both knowledge in textbooks and real life. The information which students learn will be conveyed by teachers who have experiences in teaching and also have solid practical knowledge. Moreover, parents can be quite busy, they do not have time to teach their children . Thus, it can be easier for students when they learn how to be a good members of society at school.
Nevertheless, it does not mean that parents can not teach those to their children. Many parents have knowlege about certain field and they also experience in all circumstances in life so that they can certainly communicate to their children the useful information and teach students how to behave properly to become a helpful person. Some people think that school is better to students learn this due to parents are quite swamped. Sometimes, they can not meet their children very often because they are busy and their children also focus on studying. Thus, teaching children perhaps is the impossible thing. However, I think parents should strive to talk with children and teach them how to behave properly in life.
