The use of social media, such as twitter and Facebook, is replacing face-to-face contact for many people in their everyday life. Do you think advantages outweigh disadvantages? In this day and age, the internet has been playing a pivotal role in the way people contact each other. The application of social platforms including Twitter and Facebook has been substituting face-to-face interaction on a daily basis. Although using social networks has some negative aspects, I consider that its benefits are more significant. On the one hand, one of the drawbacks of social media is that it is detrimental to face-to-face interaction. In fact, when people spend an excessive amount of time on social networks, they will be prone to separating themselves from other activities like hanging out with friends, engaging in conversation, thus adversely affecting their personal relationships. On the other hand, I believe that the benefits of social media are more remarkable. First and foremost, social networking sites can enable people to connect with others on a global scale. For instance, the rapid development of various apps like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram can make it easier for individuals to send messages, post pictures and videos to interact with people over a long distance. Additionally, social media could also be advantageous to students and teachers. This can be exemplified by the fact that in the outbreak of Covid-19, teachers can conduct online teaching for their children through learning apps, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc which might be more convenient in comparison with traditional teaching. In conclusion, although overrelying on social media can be adverse to interpersonal interaction, I support that its advantages are more outstanding, as internet can facilitate communication and distance learning. The use of social media, such as twitter and Facebook, is replacing face-to-face contact for many people in their everyday life. Do you think advantages outweigh disadvantages? In this day and ag... Đề: The tradition that the family gets together to eat meals is disappearing. What are the reasons? What are the impacts? Bài làm: It has traditionally been a practice for a close-knit family to share their leisure time dining together. However, this tradition seems to be less prevalent in today's society. This essay will shed light on the factors and analyze some feasible drawbacks. On the one hand, there are three possible causes that result in this shift. First and foremost, diverse food preferences can pose a significant challenge. In fact, a family that includes vegetarians or individuals who are on a diet can find it challenging to have meals together with other members, who pursue a scrumptious one with a traditional mix of meat, fish, and vegetables. Moreover, the overwhelming workload and study can discourage people from sharing meals. For example, adults with nine-to-five jobs, as do the children with extra classes in the evenings may struggle to find a mutual schedule, which can impose a restriction on their quality time. Furthermore, individual temptations can be a significant contributing factor. Notably, kids are likely to be engrossed in their favorite TV cartoons, while fathers might be inclined to socialize over drinks with colleagues and friends, resulting in isolation during meal times. On the other hand, I firmly believe this issue may take a toll on the family's relationship. A prime impact can be mentioned is a weakening of family bonds. Admittedly, meals undeniably foster quality time. Indeed, it is when all members gather and nurture their relationships with near and dear ones. Without this part, their bonds are likely to be loosened. Another primary drawback of this is the potential development of poor manners in children. During their formative years, parents play a crucial role in shaping their kids’ personalities by teaching them how to behave when they’re guests, as well as how to express hospitality when friends or relatives visit. Thus, children who do not frequently share meals with their parents are likely to cultivate these poor manners. In conclusion, shifts in family dynamics can be attributed to various causes. I constantly advocate for members to encourage each other to spend their leisure time together, which can not only strengthen family bonds but also contribute to the cultivation of proper personalities in children. Topic: The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now. The given maps illustrate the development occuring in the design of a public library for the past 20 years. Overall, it is noticeable that the library experienced various significant alterations in its layout over a period of 2 decades. The most prominent of which were the modifications of some reading facilities. Further changes have also been made to tables and chairs. In the previous 20 years, there was a couple round tables surrounded by chairs located in the center of the library. In the bottom right-hand corner of the building housed an enquiry desk, which was opposite to a section for reading newspapers and magazines. On both sides of tables and chairs, adult fiction books and adult non-fiction books were arranged, while the upper right and left corners were designated for children’s books and multimedia materials such as CDs, video games and computer games, respectively. Nowadays, the library has undergone some remarkable changes. Notably, the old tables and chairs have been removed, creating a more spacious space. The enquiry desk has been transformed into a coffee shop, while the reading room in the left corner has also been converted into a computer room. Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. There are widely differing views on what progress is the most crucial objective, while various governments considering that economic development is pivotally important, some other individuals deeming that other kinds of development might play a vital role as well. This essay will discuss both viewpoints before concluding that the latter is more favorable. On the one hand, it is undeniable that developing economy is an important goal, given that it can positively affect human's quality of life. More precisely, an increase in national budget resulting from economic progress could make it easier for governments to invest the money in a range of aspects, such as education, healthcare, entertainment, etc, thus improving people's quality of life. On the other hands, I believe that there are some other objectives which are also indispensable to a nation. First and foremost, development of digital technology should be encouraged because of its multifunction in society. For instance, with the advent of AI technology, scientists can find it convenient to do scientific research and come up with new ideas, meanwhile, robotic machines can enable doctors to create precise prescriptions to treat patients, which could contribute to national development. Furthermore, progress in military is another important goal for a sake of protecting a country. In fact, development of military could provide a nation with strong defense to shelter people from different threats including crimes, invasion, terrorism. Therefore, it also plays a pivotal role in developing a country. In conclusion, although government consider economic progress as their most vital objective, I support that the multifunctional purpose of technology and protecting people by improving miltary are equally important. Nowadays, celebrities are more famous for their glamor and wealth than for their achievement, and this is a bad example to adolescents. To what extent do you agree or disagree? In today's world, superstars are more well-known for their lavish lifestyle than for their outstanding achievement. This will have an influence on the younger generation. In my view, despite this viewpoint being practical,. I do not completely agree with it. Admittedly, there are some plausible reasons why some famous people are a bad sample for the youth. To begin with, they can easily mislead young people about their wealth. In fact, they are not quite outstanding about their achievement but they often live in huge mansions, drive supercars and wear expensive clothes, which makes the youth get into the habit of spending unnecessary things and imitating the actions of superstars. In addition, the younger generation tends to find cosmetic surgery places in order to take care of themselves. This means they can have a subjective lifestyle and lead to bad results in school. Therefore, these problems are serious enough to interfere with the young. In spite of downsides, the benefits are more significant. Firstly, superstars are followed by luxurious lifestyles but they have to overcome a hard time to gain the status in society. Therefore, a famous individual can inspire the youth to gain more valuable experience and useful lessons. Moreover, many celebrities tend to help the poor people because they are unable to overcome mental health conditions, which enables contributing a great deal of money in order to provide daily living habits. Besides, superstars can tell significant positive stories for people and raise awareness, which enables the youth ways to behave with other people in the community. Thus, these kinds of celebrities are worth being followed by the young people. In conclusion, although the wealth of famous people may affect the youth, they also can create positive stories for everyone. In my view, I do not totally agree with this point of view. Nowadays, celebrities are more famous for their glamor and wealth than for their achievement, and this is a bad example to adolescents. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Question: Some people think that sending criminals to prison is not effective. Education and job training should be used instead. Do you agree or disagree? In the modern society, criminals become a significant concern for debating in the large scale. Number of individuals argue that applying education and career training courses for the lawbreakers will be more efficiency than sending them to prison. Despite of some drawbacks it might causes, I believe that the advantages outweigh the downsides and this essay will analyze my viewpoint. On the one hand, it could be dentrimental to the society if the criminals are available from the prison sentences. The crime offenders who find unsatisfied with the governments and the regulations will relapse into the crime without regretting of their faults, excerbates to the residents’ safety. Nevertheless, if the authorities implemented the appropriate educational programs for the criminals, it might enhances the criminals’ attitudes and behaviours towards society. The compelling reason for committing a crime is due to the lacks of education and social appreciation. Thereby, the governments should support subtantial opportunities for the offenders enrolling to the social activities, such as charity. Moreover, the symptoms of depression and stress are witnessed in most criminals. It is well – documented that the crime offenders are sentimental because of numerous problems. For instance, most criminals worldwide have sufferred from family issues which leading to the downsides of their personal traits. By providing education programs, the lawbreakers’ academic level could be improved as well as deterring them from negative emotions and behaviours. Furthermore, it is reasonable for the criminals to access the vocational training courses. The feeling of isolation and less appreciation from the society bring difficulties in seeking jobs for the lawbreakers. Therefor, the career training plays a vital role in enhancing their life quality and occupation opportunity which results in the diminishing number of crime offenders. In conclusion, it is neccessary to provide education programs and career training courses for the criminals instead of giving prison sentences. In today’s society, there is a persavive debate on the importance of teaching core subjects such as mathematics, literature for students taking the assignments rather than practical skills. Considering all the factors, I partially agree with the substantial benefits of academic knowledge and achievements. However, schools should allocate equivalent support to minor skills as well for all-rounded developments. On the one hand, academic knowledge plays a crucial role in higher education and career opportunity. It is beneficial for students to learn core subjects that are effective for the school assessments. If the young learners desire to pursue academically education path, they should receive more achievements and results by specialised in mathematics, english and science. For example, high-level students whose objectivity is applying to renowned universities should prepare for outstanding school profiles with appealing academic achievements that required by the colleges’ standards. Moreover, by providing advanced knowledges for students, they will receive more opportunities in career development. Numerous of companies demands to employ excellent employees that have higher results in academic education. On the contrary, lead subjects such as cooking and dressing bring multiple of advantages to students’ lifestyle. As soon as acquiring practical skills at schools, students will be more independent and having ability to take care of themselves. The increase in the production of consumer goods results in damage to the natural environment. What are the causes of this? What can be done to solve this problem? In today’s society, the circumstance of the natural environment is getting worse as a result of the demanding number of consumer goods production. This problem is probably caused by the greenhouse gases released by the factories and the high level of unsustainable items consumption. This essay will explain precisely the causes and analyze the solutions for this issue. Initially, one compelling reason that leads to the environmental crisis is the substantial amount of gas emissions released from the factories. Due to industrialization, the production of consumer goods increases rapidly, leading to a significant amount of carbon dioxide that damages the atmosphere. According to BBC News, there was approximately 60% of the amount of greenhouse gases came from industrial factories in 2022, leading to numerous adverse impacts on the environment. Moreover, it is detrimental to nature because of the growth in the production of unsustainable clothes and the consumption of nylon bags that take a prolonged period to recycle, hence, bringing multiple downsides to the natural environment. One possible solution to address the problem is implementing more policies on the energy sources used by the factories. The amount of greenhouse gases will be reduced as long as the governments establish more regulations on changing to renewable energy instead of coal energy sources. Secondly, it is essential for the clothes brands to increase more sustainable items production and provide recycled plastic bags to the customers. Take Zara as a good example, this global brand implements a reused scheme for outdated clothes to maintain the sustainability of the products and bring positive effects to the environment. By making new obsolete pieces of clothes, these products will be purchased by other customers to reduce waste and contribute to enhancing natural circumstances. In conclusion, the drawbacks of the high production of consumer goods result in the shift of the natural environment. However, it is possible to tackle this issue by encouraging all the factories to use renewable sources as well as producing more sustainable and recycled items. The increase in the production of consumer goods results in damage to the natural environment. What are the causes of this? What can be done to solve this problem? Đề: Some people think that a huge amount of time and money is spent on the protection of wild animals and that this money could be better spent on the human population. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Bài làm: It is argued that a large amount of time and funding should has been allocated towards helping humanity instead of wildlife conservation. I completely agree with this statement, given that alleviating the condition of poverty in many countries and the development of state-of-the-art medical systems. The major reason that I approve is that the quality of impoverished families in some nations will be dramatically improved. An increasing number of individuals are currently facing with the condition of insufficient food and fresh water, especially in developing nations, by devoting enough money and time to handle this issue, there can be marked improvements in the quality of inhabitants. This is exemplified by the fact that the Vietnamese government spent a large of money to help the poor in Africa. Therefore, the more funding is allocated for, the more people’s life enhances. A further justification that I agree is that the improvements in modern medical systems. In fact, many people all over the world are suffering from dangerous illnesses, such as the diseases related to cancer, which impact on people’s health significantly, which is why investments in advanced medical systems are essential to handle this problem. As an example, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the UK authority invested a large funding in researching and manufacturing AstraZeneca vaccines, with the aim of mitigating the potential of getting the Covid-19 disease. As a result, plenty of citizens would not concern about their health, which influence on their working and studying. In conclusion, I utterly agree that people should make investments in humans instead of allocating for wildlife protection. This is because it provides opportunities for people to gain a better life and the improvement of medical systems. It seems to me that governments all over the world need to prioritize the fundamental needs of people with the view to bringing better lives for citizens. Đề: Many people say that the only way to guarantee getting a good job is to complete a course of university education. Others claim that it is better to start work after school and gain experience in the world of work. How far do you agree or disagree with the above views? BÀI LÀM It has been increasingly prevalent for people to believe that graduation from university is the main driving force for a favorable profession. Meanwhile, many opponents suggested that young people should find a job after high school and obtain experience in the workplace. As far as I am concerned, both standpoints are justifiable and I will further elaborate on this essay. To begin with, a growing number of individuals agree that university qualifications are the only key factor that results in career success. In the fast-paced world, it is undeniable that a large number of young people pursue doctors, teachers, engineers, and so on as their dream careers. Consequently, having a Bachelor’s Degree is compulsory in order to make their ambitions come true. Furthermore, recruiters are in favor of qualified applicants in curricula vitae screening and they are more likely to contact these applicants for an interview. For further explanation, curriculum vitae is a personal brief profile in which young people not only provide their personal information, but they can also showcase their certain level of intelligence, competence, and education. What is more, a university degree can demonstrate an individual’s educational background and expertise knowledge, which is recently a main driving force of recruitment in many companies. Hence, those who graduate tend to attract more employers, which can offer them a wide range of job opportunities and choices. Having said that, there is also a noticeable trend where people think going to work after graduating from school and earning experience is the superior orientation for the young generation. In fact, there are many professions that do not require any qualifications or diplomas. Take hairdressers, tattoo artists, and mechanics for example, a large figure of them are still able to work and earn money without a university education. Therefore, studying in universities is a waste of money and time in these cases. In terms of personal development, working adults can gain more life skills as well as their specific expertise. On top of that, the working environment plays an essential role in helping them become an independent and mature person as they have to learn how to manage their living expenses, and communication skills to get on with their colleagues and make a living by themselves. Interestingly, universities do not teach those practical skills but school of life. In conclusion, I feel that both perspectives are justifiable in their own way. Choosing to go to work or continue studying at the university after school depends on an individual’s orientation and family situation. From these factors, young adults can decide to pursue their own wishes in the most flexible and effective way that is suitable to their career path and personality. ĐỀ BÀI: Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. BÀI LÀM: It is often argued that student shoud be taught to become good people in society by school. However, some individuals think that parents also should teach students. In my view, i firmly believe that not only school but also parents should educate students to become useful people in society. School can be considered a ideal place so that students can gain knowledge and skills to enter society. Besides learning theoretical knowledge in books, nowadays, education is promoting teaching programs which have a tendency to guide the development of life skills, encourage using creativity and practical knowledge to apply lessons at school. Therefore, students can perceive both knowledge in textbooks and real life. The information which students learn will be conveyed by teachers who have experiences in teaching and also have solid practical knowledge. Moreover, parents can be quite busy, they do not have time to teach their children . Thus, it can be easier for students when they learn how to be a good members of society at school. Nevertheless, it does not mean that parents can not teach those to their children. Many parents have knowlege about certain field and they also experience in all circumstances in life so that they can certainly communicate to their children the useful information and teach students how to behave properly to become a helpful person. Some people think that school is better to students learn this due to parents are quite swamped. Sometimes, they can not meet their children very often because they are busy and their children also focus on studying. Thus, teaching children perhaps is the impossible thing. However, I think parents should strive to talk with children and teach them how to behave properly in life. To sum up, both parents and school are a good place to teach students. They are two important factors to make sure that students become good members in society. ĐỀ BÀI: Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. topic: Some people argue that technological inventions, such as mobile phones, are making people socially less interactive. Do you agree or disagree? It is said that with the development of advanced inventions such as smartphones, people’s relationships would become less interaction. I completely agree with this opinion and I will discuss about some its reasons in the essay. Firstly, modern gadgets have changed in the way that people entertained. In the past, when people did not have many devices such as smartphones, computer, and so on, they would engage in some activities such as playing sports, dacing, and so on that helped them relax and unwind. However, these days, when technology become more and more popular, as a result people tend to spend a lot of time on using advanced devices rather than join other activities. The reason is that there are many various kind of online games that are their favourite games on their phones. Therefore, Secondly, this trend also has changed the way that people make new friends. Traditionally, people need to meet face- to- face, chat and then if they had in commons, they would become friends. However, in modern society, people just use their mobiles phones and go online that help meet open-minded friends easily. For instance, when people are keen on cooking and want to make friends who have in common, they might use Facebook or Instagram, because there are many group which spend for cooking lovers on these platforms. That is so convenient but it might lead to a negative impact on our society. The evidence is that there are more and more people immerse to virtual life on social networking and gradually less contact with others in their real life espeacially young people. In conclusion, when modern inventions developed, they affected negatively on the interaction of our community because they have changed to the way of people’s entertaining and broadening friend relationships. topic: Some people argue that technological inventions, such as mobile phones, are making people socially less interactive.
