Once upon a time, King Richard went hunting with his hawk.
The king found a spring to quench his thirst and collected some water into his cup. Just as he was about to drink, his hawk knocked the cup over. The water spilled to the ground.
The king tried multiple times to fill his cup, but each time the hawk knocked the cup over. Furious, the king struck the hawk with his sword and killed it.
At that moment, the king noticed that a cobra had drowned and died in the spring, poisoning the water. Realising the hawk had saved him, King Richard felt deep regret.
Through this, King Richard learned the importance of self-control. Acting in anger can lead to mistakes and harm.
To practice self-discipline, pause when you feel angry. Take deep breaths and think before acting. When you face challenges or frustrations, stay calm and kind.
