Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Bài viết: The line graph given demonstrates the percentage of unemployees in three particular regions (the UK, the rest of Europe and Japan) throughout the period of 15 years commencing in 1993. Overall, while the unemployment rate of the UK and the rest of Europe witnessed downward trends, the opposite was true for Japan. Additionally, the proportion of the unworked population in the rest of Europe was taking the lead for most of the examined period. In 1993, the rate of unemployment in the UK reached a peak of about 11%, which was 2% and 9% higher than that of the rest of Europe and Japan respectively. However, the figure for the UK consistently decreased and met that of Japan at 5% in 2001, while the share of unemployed people in the rest of Europe rose slightly by more than 3% in 1997 before dropping to about 9% again after 4 years. Accounting for the same rate in 2001, the share of unworked people in the UK remained stable for 4 years until 2005 before increasing to 6% at the end of the period, whereas that of Japan experienced a small rise by 1% in 2003 and fell to 4% in 2007. Although ranking the highest rate of unemployment, the figure for the rest of Europe kept falling until reached approximately 8% in 2007. • Task 1: The graph below shows the unemployment rates in the UK, the rest of Europe, and Japan from 1993 to 2007. The diagram compares the layout of typical offices in America and Japan. Overall, there are several differences between both types of office in terms of exhibition. Additionally, working in groups is the norm in Japanese offices, while separated working spaces are emphasized in American ones. Regarding seat arrangement, in the Japanese office, employees are divided into different groups, with each group being positioned symmetrically and directly supervised by a section manager, who also has the responsibility of reporting to a department manager sitting in the top centre of the office. Meanwhile, in the American office, two rows of L-shaped cubicles for employees are situated in the centre of the office, while the employers work in individual offices on the right. Concerning other facilities, windows are placed behind the department manager in the Japanese office, while these are installed on either side of the American one. The action of working or traveling for a year between completing high school and commencing university studies is encouraged in some countries. This essay will provide a detailed explanation of both the positive and negative impacts of this policy on pupils. First of all, the most obvious advantage is not only to focus on the aim of providing students with an approved period of time that can provide them with relaxation but also nurturing and developing their ability and their soul. As a result of a hard-working period or long-term traveling, students could achieve and store a series of necessary skills that are in high demand skills in the future. Another point to make is that taking a long time to work after ending high school and preparing before entering the university can support pupils earning an amount of good pocket money and purchasing whatever is in accordance with their urgent demands. However, if students spend too much time working or traveling, there is a possibility that they will forget almost all the knowledge that they learned previously. Moreover, they can be affected and suffer a commonly-undeniable obsession with money. Indeed, money can certainly satisfy every need of humans whether these are physiological, safety, or belongingness and love needs. Money can change students' lives, afterward ruining study commitment and putting them into endlessly purchasing money. In conclusion, between the period graduating from high school and beginning university coursework, I would argue that pupils should spend a year working or traveling. They should be aware of their ultimate aim when following this policy, nevertheless, avoiding becoming much dependent on it. In some countries, students live with their family while studying at a university. In other countries, students attend university in another city. Do you think the advantages of living away from family home while attending university outweigh the disadvantages? Essays For higher education, some students choose to move to a new city, while others continue living with their parents. While both options offer unique advantages and challenges, I firmly believe that the benefits of living away from home outweigh the drawbacks. On the one hand, moving away from home for university education poses challenges related to costs and mental health. Chief among these is the increase in their spending, as there might be a monthly rent attached to their accommodation, and they cannot save on utility and food bills by bulk buying them with their parents. Another major issue lies in the lack of emotional support. Specifically, those having to relocate might not have the company of old friends or family members who can offer them encouragement and advice in the face of hard times, affecting their mental well-being and academic performance. In contrast, living away from home offers tremendous advantages that promote personal growth and academic success. The first benefit relates to an independent lifestyle. If university students reside separately with their families, they are generally fully responsible for both their academic and personal lives, gradually becoming more self-reliant when making their own decisions in terms of their daily schedules, majors, and relationships. Moreover, living away from home provides students with an environment conducive to academic focus and achievement. Students may devote more time and attention to their studies, and this increased focus frequently results in greater academic success. To summarize, while living away from home for a university degree might be difficult in terms of expense and mental health, the benefits far exceed the drawback. This experience provides students with tremendous personal growth and intellectual possibilities, transforming them into well-rounded individuals ready to face the difficulties of the modern world. In some countries, students live with their family while studying at a university. In other countries, students attend university in another city. Many people around the world use social media every day to keep in touch with other people and news events. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages? The scenario in which social media is considered useful for communication and news observation could be seen worldwide. However, the drawbacks it leaves for the community are more significant. On the one hand, using social media to connect and browse can facilitate the overall experience. Instead of using letters or phone calls for long-distance contact, social media has effectively bridged the gap between individuals through apps like Messenger or Zalo, which allow users to convey audio and visual messages owing to the development of technology. Likewise, by uploading videos and voice records online, social media can engage people with more lively news. For instance, these days, soccer fans can rewatch their favorite matches anytime they want by visiting various sports pages on Facebook, which is impossible when using traditional newspapers. On the other hand, the chance of encountering crimes and fake news could easily occur on online platforms. In this present era, pops-up ads are tempting people by offering promising prizes, and all they need to do is fill in their private information, such as names, addresses, and social security codes. In this way, hackers can collect users' data and manipulate those for different purposes, leading to identity theft or blackmail. Regarding online news, although social media is an effective way to approach up-to-the-minute updates, some individuals are willing to post misleading information for that sense of fame and attention. Consequently, the widespread of such information will lead to confusion in society if it is not adjusted within a reasonable time. In conclusion, contacting and watching news via social media can be beneficial, but the disadvantages are more severe, particularly in terms of individuals' safety and false information. Therefore, I assume the advantages are eclipsed by the downsides. Many people around the world use social media every day to keep in touch with other people and news events. Topic: It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? As awareness of child development has significantly increased in recent years, early education has emerged as a topic of interest. It is argued that children should not be punished to learn the distinction between right and wrong, irrespective of their actions. While this thinking is valid to a certain extent, i believe that appropriate punishment would have a positive influence on children's improvement. There are many compelling reasons why parents and teachers should avoid punishing children at an early age. On an individual level, children who are regularly punished may have a higher risk of developing mental health issues, leading to childhood trauma as they grow up. On a societal level, excessive punishment can contribute to an environment with fear and resentment rather than understanding and cooperation among peers. This may act as a precursor to hindering social cohesion and the development of positive relationships among individuals within the community. However, despite the aforementioned concerns, i would contend that implementing proper punishment, in fact, can be helpful to both children and society. Today, the lines between right and wrong can be blurred, especially with the influence of digital media and peer interactions. Therefore, if children are taught the consequences of their actions through appropriate punishment, they will better understand the impact of their behavior and make informed, ethical decisions in the future. In addition to this, the enormous cost incurred to rectify societal issues stemming from undisciplined behavior will put a strain on government coffers, potentially leading to budget deficits, tax hikes, or reduced welfare. In conclusion, while avoiding punishment has benefits, I believe that using appropriate discipline can help create a more responsible society. Many people put their personal information online (address, telephone number, and so on) for purposes such as signing up for social networks or online banking. Is this a positive or negative development? Several individuals provide their personal information on the Internet for reasons such as online banking or social networking, and this has led to a question of whether it is beneficial to put that information online. In my opinion, despite the convenience it brings, Internet users shouldn’t share their private information. On the one hand, it is understandable why people decide to share their information on the Internet. Firstly, the availability of personal information online helps access crucial services such as healthcare and education. The Fourth Industrial Revolution doesn’t just happen in one specific speciality, but in all sorts of fields with a view to For instance, online programs provide users with vaccine appointment registration, educational resources and job applications. Secondly, by collecting private information, individuals’s preferences and tastes will be better understood by organizations. Companies ought to use collected data, analyze it and come up with a strategy to enhance customers’ experience. On the other hand, posting personal data on the Internet makes users potentially susceptible to criminal activities. The private information shared online including one’s name, addresses or social security numbers can be exploited for illicit purposes such as financial fraud. Hackers can easily utilise their social engineering degree to exploit a wealth of vulnerable consumer data, stealing thousands a sheer volume of social security numbers and reselling them on an anonymous broker’s online platform. This led to a large number of retired workers losing million-dollar pensions to a sophisticated online hacking scheme. Moreover, the number of users sharing their information without verifying the registration page are undoubtedly high over the years and hasn’t seemed to stop. Sensitive data can simply be collected and shared for multiple purposes, including identity stealing and blackmailing. This invasion of internet privacy can cause financial and psychological damage to the victim for a long time In conclusion, despite some conveniences, registering personal details online is a negative development considering the risk of online fraud and information stealing. The diagram illustrates how recycled paper is made. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. The diagram gives information about the stages involved in the process of recycling paper As can be seen from the diagram, there are four main stages, beginning with the making of pulp and ending with the production of recycled paper. At the first stage of producing recycled paper, used paper is placed on a conveyor belt which moves it into a mixture of water and chemicals, where the paper is broken into unfiltered pulp. Next, the pulp undergoes a filtration process before turning into filtered pulp. This is followed by a cleaning stage, in which water, soap and air are being used to wash the pulp and remove leftover ink. In the last stages, the cleaned pulp goes through a drying process using heated rollers to remove excess water. Finally, the dried paper is made into individual rolls and ready to be used. Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development? In current, the advancement of technology has adjusted the interpersonal interactions and profoundly affected relationships. However, it is dilemma to state that whether this innovation is beneficial or detrimental. Therefore, this essay will elaborate further on this core point and point out my perspective in its development. The noticeable impact on human interaction associated with high-tech is the means of communication. This is because the significant enhancement of technology has created numerous modern apps, which contributes to the replacement from the traditional communication to online way. For instance, in 20 years ago, especially in Viet Nam, the major means to interact was directly talking or sending letters in case of far distance. In contrast, currently, people are able to connect to everyone just by these apps such as Messanger, Zalo and make a call in their leisure time. Indeed, this innovation will lessen the limits in communication from numerous potential factors. On another hand, this development has hindered some crucial social skills in individuals. Because this adjustment can encourage young generations to begin the conversation through texting. When they engage in long-term online interaction, they can have difficulties or lost their confidence to deal with real situation. For example, after Covid 19, some primary students felt hard to express themselves in class although they are very social in group chatting. Furthermore, in the severe condition, some people can even loss their interest to participate in any face-to-face interaction. To conclude, technology has affected our relationships through the significant increase of online communication. Particularly, this innovation also has the adverse impact on social skills for young people. Therefore, I firmly believe that it is necessary to balance between new and traditional interaction in order maintain the relationships. Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? The picture illustrates how cheese is made. Overall, the process consists of two main stages, with the first one turning raw milk into solid form, which is then processed in the second one to make cheese as the final product. Regarding the first stage, raw milk can be processed in two methods, namely most cheese making and traditional cheese making. In the former, milk is first pasteurized, then standardized, and filtered, all of which are dispensable in the latter. Next is the inoculation stage where milk is mixed with fermenting microorganisms and rennet (enzyme) in a tank to form coagulation (curdling), comprising curds and whey. Subsequently, the thickened mixture is cut, stirred, and cooked. Concerning the second stage, once the whey has been drained out, needed curds are then milled and seasoned with salt to create fresh cheese, including cottage and cream cheese, before being poured into moulds via a conveyor belt. The process continues when fresh cheese is pressed to drain additional whey, followed by the storage step to let it ripe over time to form the final product: ripened cheese. The line graph illustrates the Australian export volume to four countries, namely Japan, the US, China, and India, between 1990 and 2012. Overall, there were increases in the export proportions to China and India over the period, while the opposite was true for those to Japan and the US. Additionally, China experienced the most significant growth, becoming the largest importer at the end of the period, while Japan was the largest importer for most of the given timeframe. Regarding India and China, in 1990, among the four destinations, these two countries were the smallest exporters of Australia, with negligible figures of 1% and 2%, respectively. Thereafter, China’s importance rose over the period, as the export rate to this country had grown steadily to 5% by 2000, before quintupling to just under 30% over the next 12 years. Likewise, India’s share experienced similar changes, albeit to a much lesser extent, stabilizing at around 1% until 2000, followed by a steady incline to peak at approximately 7% in 2009 before ending the period with a marginal fall of 2%. Some people argue that fashion items cost too much money. Others say that this is acceptable because fashion is an important part of life. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Some people believe that fashion items are too high-cost while others hold the view that it is acceptable because in today's society, fashion plays a crucial role in our lives . So this essay is going to examine both sides and argue for why I lean towards the latter viewpoint. On the one hand , now in the market , many fashion items are overpriced but it is not certain that they are high-quality products . For instance , plenty of fashion goods are sold at exorbitant prices as they are products that come from big brands . Meanwhile , we can buy items with the same quality and design for a small amount of money in the market or some small brand. In addition ,selling such items also makes it more difficult for some families because they cannot afford it. On the other hand , it is undeniable that fashion items are sold at high prices but I am sure that prices coupled with the quality . Since the cost of the material that makes the products determines the item's prices . If the material is good and durable , it is sure that the prices will be high . Besides these expensive items normally are highly aesthetic and creative that cheaper products rarely have ,and do not go out of fashion over time. Finally, it helps the wearer become comfortable and stand out, especially at luxurious parties so although the prices are high , many individuals are willing to invest a significant sum of money to buy it Conclusion, depending on ability and needs, each person will choose the right items for themselves. Some people believe that fashion items are too high-cost while others hold the view that it is acceptable because in today's society, fashion plays a crucial role in our lives . Some people believe that the government should take care of disadvantaged people such as the unemployed and homeless people in their countries. Do you agree or disagree? In recent time, there has been an intense debate regarding the government subsidy for inhabitants who are unemployed and homeless. Despite a number of controversies on both sides, I staunchly stated that these circumstances are not worth receiving the government’s resources. It is commonly true that these disadvantaged residents are making use of the nation’s humanitarian aspects in order to support their laziness. Indeed, these individuals are less likely to engage in working as well as render seeking jobs unnecessary. Undoubtedly, the budget supplied by authorities may facilitate their dependence and therefore tend to live sedentarily without any contribution to the national economy. A pertinent example of this can be found in the USA, where the homeless rate is considerable that the government even reminded its dwellers not to advocate for this inappropriate demeanor. Another compelling factor that rationalizes my viewpoint can lie in other alarming issues which worth receiving the top priority. Noticeably, some concerning matters including education, health care, and environmental conservation are the factors that should receive greater emphasis. In order to do so, government resources should be allocated wisely to these categories and take the concern of homeless and unemployed people for granted. One measure for this stance which authorities should take is that instead of providing the budget for these disadvantaged people, it is notable to take into consideration that offering better job opportunities for these residents can serve as a more pragmatic approach. Undeniably, a traditional saying noted that “give a man a fish to feed him for a day, teach a man to fish to feed him for a lifetime”, which means offering a way for individuals to make ends meet can effectively do away with their reliance and trigger their industrious personality. In conclusion, I strongly advocate my belief that the humanitarian aspect can facilitate the dependence of disadvantaged citizens. So as to avert this problem, guiding but not giving would ultimately not only foster the hard-working characteristics of the individual but also create a permanent means of maintaining life. Some people believe that the government should take care of disadvantaged people such as the unemployed and homeless people in their countries. Do you agree or disagree? In conclusion, I totally agree that having older people who are mentally and physically fit at work is a positive development.
