Nowadays, there is more and more competition for getting into university. Is this a positive or negative development?
In the fast-paced world, it is getting more competitive to enter a university due to the increasing number of applicants. As a consequence, a debate regarding whether this situation brings positive or negative outcomes emerged. In my opinion, academic competition in this case is positive despite the fact that it may result in emotional burden among students. One of the most significant drawbacks of the mounting growth in terms of university competition is the academic pressure and achievements it places on students. Fierce competition usually leads to anxiety, high stress levels and mental health issues. Numerous students have to face sleepless nights and burnout owing to the intense desire to outshine their peers. It is undeniable that long lasting stressful conditions can result in mental disorders and health problems, which affect students’ lives. Nevertheless, it will be less serious if the students can arrange their timetable flexibly and combine studying with other physical and entertaining activities to improve their health. On the other hand, competition in this case can act as a driving force that motivates students to strive for academic achievements and outstanding performance. When students have to face pressure from their peers and the desire to outshine, they will strictly put their great effort into preparing for the entrance exam. As a consequence, students have opportunities to strive for success, and become more mature, disciplined and resilient, which positively foster and nourish useful soft skills and personal growth. In conclusion, increased university competition has both advantages and disadvantages. However, its benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Students may suffer from several issues related to mental health but they will be able to gain many helpful skills, bravery and experience that are crucial to pave the way for their bright future. There should be competition in order to stimulate applicants to try their best and reach their full potential. In the fast-paced world, it is getting more competitive to enter a university due to the increasing number of applicants. The line graph illustrates the proportion of Australian employment in five sectors from 1962 to 2012. Overall, there was an increase in the share of the Australian labour force in the service category over the period, while the opposite was true for those of manufacturing and agriculture. Meanwhile, construction and mining remained nearly unchanged throughout the given timeframe. Additionally, the employment rate in services consistently dominated, while that of mining was generally the lowest. In 1962, just over 50% of the Australian workforce was employed in services, nearly doubling the figure for manufacturing (about 28%), whereas the percentages of those working in agriculture and construction were comparable at one-tenth. Meanwhile, almost no one worked in the mining sector. Over the next 50 years, services employment had almost quadrupled to just below 80% by 2012, while the figures for construction and mining industries relatively stabilised over the period. Conversely, the proportion of people working in manufacturing gradually decreased to the same level of construction in the final year. Finally, agriculture employment experienced similar changes, albeit to a lesser extent, to mining's level in the last year. Today different types of robots are being developed which can serve as companions and workers to help at work and at home. Is this a positive or negative development? The Fourth Industrial Revolution has helped several inventions come to life, including robots to accompany citizens in the workforce. This invention has led to a question of whether it is beneficial to develop robots for the use of working and doing housework. In my opinion, despite the convenience it brings, robots can’t be left taking individuals’ jobs. On the one hand, machines with artificial intelligence can increase efficiency and productivity in different working fields. Robots are created using advanced technology, which allows them to perform with better capacity, are having a better performance at work compared to humans. Tasks given to them are finished with not only precision but also consistency, leading to higher efficiency and productivity in various industries. Moreover, since robots are equipped with the latest advances in artificial intelligence and, they are totally capable of conducting a thoughtful conversation with an elderly individual based on their in-depth analysis of each personality, interests and past events. Those conversations have proven effective in reducing loneliness, stress levels and the potential risk of depression among senior citizens in developing countries, such as Japan and the United States. On the other hand, job displacement can easily occur if robots are being used too often. The widespread of adapting robots in the workforce has encountered disagreement among workers who are worried about being unemployed, especially those with low educational backgrounds and participating in manual jobs. If machines with artificial intelligence are being used in every arsenal and small enterprises, a large number of workers will become unemployed and have a hard time searching for alternative job opportunities. When numerous citizens are unable to find suitable working conditions, economic disruption will likely happen, resulting in a country being on the point of collapse. Furthermore, the integration of robots into everyday life can pose a threat to society, especially to intellectual property rights. AI-powered robots have been in the market for several years with countless purposes, ranging from essay writing to image generation. These AI features have been abused by multiple users to create individual profit. By using AI technology to generate a drawing or write an essay, they seek to profit by adding minor details and then selling them to others, proclaiming those pieces are created using only their ability and imagination. This might seem harmless, but numerous authentic artists have pointed this plagiarism action out and seek for solutions In conclusion, despite some convenience, the use of robots in organizations and companies still has several negative impacts on the workforce Today different types of robots are being developed which can serve as companions and workers to help at work and at home. The table shows how many male and female workers and factories there were in England and Wales between 1851 and 1901. Overall, although there were some fluctuations in the number of factories, that of the total employment saw a steady decrease, leading to the same trend in both genders. Additionally, the majority of employees were males over the period. During the first decade, the year 1851 recorded the highest employment numbers working in the lowest number of factories, with 400,000 people (287,000 males, 190,000 females) in total and 225 factories. However, a reverse pattern was seen in the next 10 years, with a surge in the number of factories to the highest point of 727 factories, and a drop in the total figure of employment to 191,000 workers (132,000 men, 160,000 women). Over the following 40 years, the number of factories generally declined, from 622 in 1871 to 600 in 1901, despite some slight fluctuations. However, both the numbers of total employees and male employees gradually fell from 140,000 and 80,000, respectively in 1871 to 105,000 and 65,000, in that order, before nearly halving to respective figures of 61,000 and 31,000 in 1901. Dạ em chào các cô , mong thầy cô giúp em chấm chữa bài ạ . Some people think that it is a good thing for senior management positions to have much higher salaries than other workers in a company. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some individuals believe that it is necessary for senior management positions to be received a much larger payment than other workers in a company . From my perspective , I totally agree with this viewpoint for several reasons which will be laid out in the following essay. On the one hand , this viewpoint leads to disparity in payments and social inequality . Large salary gaps may make other employees feel unvalued and not respected , therefore resulting in arguments among the workforce. This has several negative impacts on work performance and job satisfaction . On the other hand, the higher payment for senior positions is necessary because they spend a large amount of time and efforts to devote to the development of the company. The priority also means the pressure and responsibilities faced by senior management. When the company is at risk , they are responsible for offering solutions and guiding other employees to come over harsh period. Besides , offering large payment can attract and retain the best talent to work for company. Their contributes are necessary to strengthen the position’s company in the increasingly competitive market.A good compensation also encourage senior position to gain high productivity and work performance , thereby leading to job-satisfaction and overall well-being. In conclusion , despite the drawback relating to principal of equality , I believe that offering a much higher payment for senior management position have more significant benefits for both senior management and the development of their company Some individuals believe that it is necessary for senior management positions to be received a much larger payment than other workers in a company . xin nhờ thầy/cô, anh/chị cùng các bạn xem giúp mình với Information is depicted in the pie charts as to the proportion of energy consumption for various purposes, and that of the corresponding greenhouse gas emissions from this energy consumption in an average household in Australia. It is remarkable that heating and water heating make up a large percentage of energy use, whereas most greenhouse gas emissions come from water heating and other appliances. Most average Australian households consume energy for heating and water heating, with 42% and 30% all told, respectively. These figures make those used for lighting and cooling pale by comparison, at 4% and 2%, respectively. Other appliances take another 15%, which is roughly twice as high as the percentage of energy used for refrigeration. Water heating is also a source of greenhouse gas emissions, taking up almost a third of total emissions. The second-largest amount of emissions comes from other appliances, with 28%. Interestingly, despite taking up the biggest percentage of energy use, heating is only responsible for 15%, and the figure is nearly the same as that for refrigeration. ĐỀ BÀI: Some people get into debt by buying things they don't need and can't afford. What are the reasons for this behaviour? What action can be taken to prevent people from having this problem? ANSWER: It is a fact that many people are becoming consumptive and materialistic because of their expensive things that they do not really need and cannot afford, therefore, getting into debt is quite popular among such people. There are various reasons that have caused this situation and in this essay, I will discuss them and give some measures that can prevent people from having this behavior. The first reason why many people are facing debt is due to consumptive lifestyles. With the development of social media such as Facebook, Instagram...more people want to show off their lives with luxurious things they have in society and the purpose of this is attracting many followers or fans. Many individuals are acceptable to get into debt to buy luxurious, costly items to show off themselves. That is quite a popular condition nowadays. Moreover, with the significant growth in the number of prestige and quality malls that attract people to spend much money on exorbitant things like clothes, jewelry which may not be necessary and even many people cannot buy it because of the costly prices but they regardless buy it with the desire to possess. As a result, many individuals are facing up with huge debt. There are some methods to prevent this problem. Firstly, people need to have a solid awareness of spending on things that are unnecessary or beyond their purchase. It must be ensured that the credit limit that is given to credit card holders is aligned with the individual’s income to spend money effectively. Instead of developing many luxurious malls, the government should focus on opening public parks or playgrounds to entertain. In conclusion, the development of social media and luxurious malls are the factors that make many people get into debt. The government should give more alternative solutions that prevent this problem. ĐỀ BÀI: Some people get into debt by buying things they don't need and can't afford. Some organisations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Other value quality of work above appearance. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions. (BAI LAM) In this contemporary epoch, there is an increasing viewpoint that workers should put on suitable clothes, while some people considered other work characteristics are more vital. I will discuss both view in this essay and give my own perspective. To begin with, some organizations advocate for dressing smartly because they believe that it would enhance their brand images which easy to access more and more stakeholders. For instance, Grab - a famous application in Vietnam providing vehicle-sharing system for users, which required their drivers put on green jackets with a particular logo so that their customers can identify them immediately. Furthermore, employees should wear well-defined dress code since it can create a sense of uniformity and discipline within the workplace such as Vietnamese teachers are expected to wear Ao Dai (a traditional female cloth) when they go to school. On the other hand, above appearance, many skills or knowledge relating to work features are still vital parts to assess the values of employees. Moreover, the freedom of attire choices can assist personnels become more creative and versatile because it may create a relaxed and comfortable work place. However, this may have some drawbacks, particularly in terms of the organization's public image and professionalism. In conclusion, while the quality of work is undoubtedly crucial, the way employees present themselves should not be disregarded. A smart and professional appearance can convey a sense of responsibility, competence, and commitment to clients and colleagues. Therefore, I believe that organizations should strike a balance between allowing employees some flexibility in their attire as also maintaining certain dress code standards that are suitable for the company's image and values. Some organisations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Other value quality of work above appearance. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions. (BAI LAM) In this contempor... Some people think that the increasing of computers and mobile phones for communication had a negative effect on young people's reading and writing skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Some people believe that the widespread use of digital devices such as smartphones and computers for communication have adverse impacts on people's literacy skills. Although electronic communication has some advantages, I firmly agree with this statement because this trend brings more harm than good. Granted, one might argue that there are some notable merits of using digital devices for communication. First of all, the availability of mobile phones or computers with the Internet connection can help people stay in touch with others from the comfort of their home. In fact, these devices are linked with messages and textings, which are modern forms of writing. Therefore, individuals can enhance their literacy by regularly with their messaging, texting, and emailing. Furthermore, thanks to technological advances, people can access a vast variety of reading materials, particularly on social media or reading websites by using their private phones or computers. As a result, they can access electronic books, news and magazines in order to broaden their knowledge and improve their reading skills as well. Nevertheless, I believe that the increasing use of these devices for communication leads to detrimental effects on an individual's literacy ability. First and foremost, young people tend to read short and informal texts since the growing popularity of social media. In fact, there is a lot of unofficial or inaccurate information through the Internet, which creates a challenge for young individuals to intelligently select the value data to read. As a result, they may come across and read false information, thereby affecting their reading ability. In addition, using technological devices deters people from realizing their mistakes. This is because, when writing words or paragraphs on computers or mobile phones, there is a tool to check and correct the spelling and grammatical mistakes automatically. Consequently, if electronic devices are not accessible, individuals are ill-equipped to write manually and grammatically. In conclusion, although there are some benefits of using mobile phones and computers for communication, such a development has resulted in the growth of communication misunderstandings and hindered the development of formal writing proficiency in young individuals. Some people think that the increasing of computers and mobile phones for communication had a negative effect on young people's reading and writing skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The table compares changes in the popularity of religious and civil marriages, and the mean marriage age between men and women in Australia between 1960 and 2000. Overall, there were increases in the number of marriages in both types, with that of religion being more common for most of the period, while this was true for civil marriages in the last years. Additionally, both genders got married at a later age over the given time frame. Regarding the two marriage categories, in 1960, there were 25,000 marriages based on religion, tripling the figure for the civil ones, at only 8,000. Over the next 20 years, this disparity remained relatively unchanged, with the former surging and peaking at 50,000, compared to 16,000 of the latter. However, after two decades, the number of religious marriages was surpassed by that of civil, with respective figures being 34,000 and 40,000 in 2000. Concerning the average age at the time of marriage, initially, women typically got married at 24 years old, 3 years old sooner than their male counterparts (21 years old). Subsequently, an incline of 1 to 3 years per decade was seen towards the final year of the period, with women and men doing so at 30 and 32 years old, respectively.
