Parents should encourage their teenagers to get a part-time job in their free time. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is true that parents should support their children by working part-time during their leisure time. I agree with the opinion above because working part-time has multiple benefits. There are numerous benefits to parents encouraging their adolescent kids to engage in part-time employment because it can improve personal skills. Firstly, soft skills can be learned by teenagers when they devote time to do a part-time job, which allows them to become sociable by communicating with others such as managers, and colleagues. As a result, children tend to become proficient in interpersonal skills. Meanwhile, if young adults aren’t employed while still in school, they will allocate time to play video games or media, which can be detrimental. This is because excessive exposure to blue light on smartphones causes children to have some problems with their eyes. Furthermore, teenagers not only can gain more knowledge about financial management but also become financially independent while they are doing a part-time job. More particularly, learning how to invest money early helps prevent taking out loans or getting into debt while handling emergencies, especially for children who have been raised in a poor family. Consequently, it develops responsibility and forward-thinking. In contrast, the extravagant use of money on unnecessary purchases might be adopted when they become adults, leading to an unstable life in the future. In conclusion, I firmly agree with the opinion that teenagers should be supported by their parents to work in their time off. It helps children build important skills such as interpersonal skills and financial management. It is true that parents should support their children by working part-time during their leisure time. Many people suppose that well-being is a primary human necessity, which leads to the argument that medical services should not be run by private-oriented companies. However, I was convinced that private medicine, despite its associated several drawbacks, brings about more significant benefits for citizens. On the one hand, private medicine comes with several disadvantages. Private healthcare operates with a strong profit motive, concentrating on updating cutting-edge facilities and services, hiring many good professional doctors and nurses, and investing money in marketing to expand markets. However, it is hard to approach a large number of people, such as in Vietnam, where the predominantly private healthcare system has led to exorbitant costs, such as normal medical expenses without insurance accounting for around two million, making it inaccessible for low-income families. On the other hand, I firmly believe that the advantages of private healthcare are announced. Private medicine plays a crucial role in alleviating patients from state-owned healthcare facilities during the period of high demand. In addition, private healthcare institutions solve paperwork quickly reducing queueing time, compared to government hospitals. Especially, in Covid 19 pandemic, government hospitals could not meet large numbers of patients, therefore private ones played a pivotal element in helping patients cope with disease with high-quality services. In conclusion, while many people say that private healthcare is expensive, I also strongly agree that public healthcare reduces pressure on state-owned healthcare institutions and provides and bring about many worthwhile experiences for patiens. Many people suppose that well-being is a primary human necessity, which leads to the argument that medical services should not be run by private-oriented companies. The diagram shows Lakeside development between years 2000 and 2009. The diagrams delineate the changes to the Lakeside between 2000 and 2009. Overall, this area experienced dramatic modifications and transformations, the most significant of which is the expansion of the industrial complex, the introduction of a shopping center, and the addition of a complex of universities and offices. Regarding the northwest of the Lakeside, while the residential space remained untouched throughout, the old town was substituted by a new complex of offices and universities, accompanied by a novel car park, constructed on the former location of the disused warehouse, which was contiguous to the previous old town. Moving to the east, the lake, running from north to south, was narrowed to form a small pond. Concerning the southwestern part, while the adjacent school retained its original state, the art center and the residential area were repurposed for a new theater and a place for shopping, respectively. With respect to the southeast, the small industrial zone and the housing units were incorporated to become a larger industrial complex. Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Many contend that increasing the provision of sports facilities is the most efficacious method to improve public health. However, it is also argued that the effectiveness of this approach is insignificant and that other measures are better options. This essay will elaborate on both contrasting viewpoints before supporting the latter. Admittedly, advocates of installing sports clubs often point to a close correlation between fitness and regular exercise. However, a severe shortage of a variety of athletic clubs, such as swimming pools, gyms, or tennis courts to cater for all ages, levels of fitness, and interests, is a significant barrier against communities’ access to physical activities. If this obstacle were addressed effectively by introducing more easy-to-reach local sports amenities, residents would be highly motivated. This enthusiasm strongly fuels residents to make exercise a part of their lives, potentially making substantial contributions to the enhancement of public health. Conversely, solely focusing on the provision of health clubs is too narrow an approach. For example, the increasing ubiquity of sports clubs in Saigon, the economic center of Vietnam, is not synonymous with an increase in the community’s engagement in physical activities. Moreover, medical conditions are closely associated with unhealthy dietary choices. Therefore, raising the public awareness of healthy food such as vegetables, fruit, and fish as well as a proper consumption habit through schools, newspapers, and social media is of greater importance. If people gain full cognizance of the rudimentary knowledge about nutrition, they will presumably adopt a healthier eating behavior, leading to the higher likelihood of an improvement in public health. In conclusion, while the availability of sports facilities is relatively advantageous, relying solely on these amenities may yield only negligible improvement. Therefore, educating the public about healthy dietary practice can be a more promising approach towards improving the health of the public. Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. The plans below show a theater in 2010 and 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps illustrate the changes to a theater over a two-year period starting from 2010. Overall, it is clear that the structure of the theater was expanded and many facilities were replaced. In 2010, there was a café shop to the left of the entrance, but two years later, it was replaced with a ticket office. In the southwest of the main building, there was an expansion to the west, where the admin office and ticket office were replaced with a small admin office in the corner next to the new restaurants. On the second floor, the main auditorium remained unchanged; however, new showers were added next to the right corner of it. The significant changes were on the third floor. To the right of the main building was the storage, but it was changed to media in 2012. And on the opposite side, storage was built as large as the new media. The old media and the stage, located in the main building, were the same size; by contrast, in the next two years, the media was reconstructed into a small hall, so the stage was expanded. Which is more important in the workplace: Emotional Intelligence or Intellectual Intelligence?
In today’s competitive work environment, both emotional intelligence (EI) and intellectual intelligence (IQ) play crucial roles. However, I believe that emotional intelligence is more important for long-term success in the workplace. Firstly, emotional intelligence enables individuals to understand and manage their own emotions as well as those of others. This skill is essential for effective communication and teamwork. For instance, employees with high EI can navigate conflicts more smoothly, fostering a positive work atmosphere. They are also more adept at building strong relationships, which can enhance collaboration and productivity. On the other hand, intellectual intelligence, which includes problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, is undoubtedly important. It allows employees to perform tasks efficiently and make informed decisions. However, in many cases, technical skills alone are not enough. A highly intelligent individual may struggle to work with a team if they lack emotional awareness. Thus, while IQ contributes to individual performance, EI is vital for group dynamics. Moreover, companies increasingly value emotional intelligence in leadership roles. Leaders with high EI are better at inspiring and motivating their teams, which can lead to higher employee satisfaction and retention rates. This ultimately benefits the organization as a whole. In conclusion, while both emotional and intellectual intelligence are important in the workplace, emotional intelligence holds greater significance for fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Investing in EI development can lead to more effective teams and successful organizations. In today’s competitive work environment, both emotional intelligence (EI) and intellectual intelligence (IQ) play crucial roles. Details of politicians’ private lives should not be published in newspapers. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It has been argued that politicians' personal life shouldn't be available to the public via newspapers. This essay will advocate for the prohibition of publishing people's lives in newspapers to maintain the safety and personal lives of politicians. Firstly, by publicly reporting about politicians' lives, we are violating their privacy rights. By exploiting this information as a source of income, or simply to entertain others, newspapers are regarding the potential challenges towards the politican's livelihood and dignity but are also challenging the moral law of humanity. Additionally, by obtaining the information without one's consent, we are exposing secrets, and past that may be humiliating or degrading to people, making the information we obtained immoral. Secondly, any information leaks could result in permanent damage to people's dignity, which can contribute to rising stress, health risks, and lowered working potential. Furthermore, this could further affect family members, and friends and possibly leave a life-long trauma to politicians. Some people argue that newspaper articles about politician's past lives may be beneficial in building a reputation and opportunities for young politicians, albeit this certainly isn't the case. By writing about one's private life in newspapers, we are also promoting biased decisions. As interesting, unique lives become a factor in political decisions, people may neglect other crucial factors such as skill, experience, and potential resulting in poor choices and unfairness. In conclusion, while publishing politician's private lives in newspapers could help to distinguish themselves, it would foster biased decision-making, violate privacy rights and potentially result in stress, health problems, and lifelong damage to individuals. Some people believe that modern technology is making people more sociable, while others think it is making them less sociable. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Some individuals are of the opinion that modern technologies are of paramount importance in enhancing the ability of people to socialize, while others think that these tools hinder our sociability. In this essay, I would discuss both schools of thought before proposing my perspective. On the one hand, there are some reasons that explain why some people believe that modern technology can improve our ability to socialize. In the past, it was difficult for people to maintain social relationships and stay in touch with each other due to the shortage of effective communication methods, which acted as a catalyst for limiting our sociability. However, the intervening of many modern technological features, such as the Internet, portable devices, and social media platforms in this day and age, can help address this issue, as they enable people to easily maintain their relationships and widen social circles with people anywhere. On the other hand, opponents think that modern technology has a negative impact on the structure of society. Emotional interactions in real life are proven to be at the core of building high-quality relationships, which do not seem to be cultivated in the technologically groundbreaking era. Virtual connections often lack the depth and nuance of in-person encounters, contributing to the likelihood of misunderstandings about individuals, leading to a sense of social isolation and detrimentally impairing our mental health when exposed over a long period. In conclusion, I believe that modern technology has both positive and negative impacts on our relationships. While the superiority of modern technology is evident in terms of helping us stay in touch with friends and family members, our relationships will become superficial and negatively affect our mental health if we do not control the level of usage. Some people believe that modern technology is making people more sociable, while others think it is making them less sociable. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. As the demand for oil and gas continues to rise, there is a growing need to explore these energy sources in remote locations. Do you believe the benefits of exploiting these areas outweigh the drawbacks of causing environmental damage? An increasing need to explore energy sources in desolate areas has sparked a debate about its implications. While the exploitation of energy resources in these areas offers certain benefits, I completely believe the drawbacks of such action would be more substantial. Granted, proponents of discovering and utilizing energy in remote regions may point out its potential to address global fuel demand. In detail, the growing global population and increased industrial activities have escalated the energy demand, leading to an increased cost of living. Additionally, a lack of fuel access can engender serious economic and social implications, including tax hikes and supply chain disruptions. Therefore, authorities or enterprises can utilize these untapped energy reserves in desolate areas to address the growing fuel needs and reduce the strain on citizens’ budgets. Furthermore, the concentration of businesses can stimulate the growth of the industrial sector. A thriving industry can generate employment, attract investment, and support related sectors, such as the construction industry, contributing to national development. However, I side with those who argue the potential drawbacks of exploring and utilizing energy sources in rural locations far outweigh these benefits. First, the industrialization of isolated regions could come as a trade-off with the local environment. Specifically, enterprises whose main goal is financial gain might neglect environmental consequences, resulting in detrimental exploitation practices that jeopardize indigenous flora and fauna. For instance, in Vietnam, industrialization has been associated with the exacerbation of air pollution and the degradation of the country’s landscape, primarily due to the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. These environmental issues can be mitigated if the authorities impose harsher penalties for contaminating the environment. To summarize, while the economic benefits of energy exploitation in rural localities are significant, the environmental implications are more substantial. Discovering and utilizing the vast energy resources in these localities without consideration of environmental impacts would result in lasting damage to the local flora and fauna. The best way for nations to address the supply demands for fuels is to impose laws to limit the destruction to the indigenous habitats. As the demand for oil and gas continues to rise, there is a growing need to explore these energy sources in remote locations. Some people think young people are not suitable for important positions in the government, while other people think it is a good idea for young people to take on these positions. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Some people believe that younger people are unsuitable for important government roles, while others hold the opposite view. In this essay, both views will be discussed before a personal stance is taken, asserting that it is unsuitable for young people to take on predominant government positions. On the one hand, many people believe that younger generations should take on vital positions in the government due to their creative abilities. In addition to receiving a comprehensive education, young people are often exposed to new cultures that can stimulate their creativity and intellectual abilities. As a result, they can make a considerable contribution to dealing with social problems. For instance, many governmental policies are ineffective and cannot resolve many issues, such as famine and high unemployment rates, needing more innovative and sensible solutions. On the other hand, it is undeniable that the young are not suitable for important positions in the government for two main reasons. The first one is the lack of experience of younger people. The social and political landscape is often complex, needing sensible decisions; hence, older generations who possess valuable experience tend to propose practical solutions to overcome these governmental difficulties. Another reason is the higher reputation of older generations. Addressing social problems needs the lifelong collaboration of the country’s residents therefore older politicians who have substantial influence on society can gather people together, fostering a strong sense of community bond and mutual support. In conclusion, while younger generations can take many creative measures to deal with social problems, I strongly believe they are unsuitable for practical governmental positions due to their lack of experience and reputation. These positions should be taken on by the elderly, leading to the long-term well-being of humans and society. Some people think young people are not suitable for important positions in the government, while other people think it is a good idea for young people to take on these positions. In many countries, crime rates amongst younger people have been rising. What are the causes? What are the solutions?
The number of young criminals in some countries is rising rapidly; it is a significant issue now. In my opinion, I believe that the best ways to address this problem are to raise awareness, take care of children during their formative years, and pay more attention to the mental health of young people. To elaborate, during the puberty period, which can shape children's character, young people often want to do whatever they want and don't think about the consequences. For example, in Vietnam, many criminal cases occurred because of the neglect of parents, resulting in the criminal behavior of their children in an attempt to attract their parents' attention. Because of the huge pressure in education, more and more youngsters suffer from mental health issues, particularly depression. Furthermore, some young people are choosing addictive substances to decrease pressure and feel better, such as cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol. For the solutions, raising awareness about the law is crucial, not only in school but also through some entertainment mediums such as news, movies, and songs, which can have a huge impact on youngsters' minds. Some people think that songs about law are very nonsensical; this is because they are mature, but for children, it is easy to be affected by the scenes in these songs and be scared about these crimes. Adults should pay more attention to their children, especially during their sensitive period of puberty. The care and education from parents are very important for children because parents are their closest people. When parents keep a close eye on their children, they can easily recognize any abnormality in children's behaviors and seek professional help if they have any problems with their mental health as soon as they can for getting the best treatment. In conclusion, I believe that most young criminals choose the wrong path to solve their problems because of a lack of attention from parents and society or their poor education to distinguish between wrong and right.
